My Master Is A Tsundere Chapter 13

Rant Valo got in front of the girl and smiled at her. The girl looked at him pleadingly again.
"Stop making that face. Look, I have food for you."
Rant Valo showed her the Spirit Fish that he cooked. The girl smelled the fish and her eyes shined. Rant Valo even saw her throat move.
Rant Valo moved the fish left and the girl looked left. He moved it right and the girl looked right. He moved it up and the girl looked up. He moved it in circles and the girl followed the fish with her eyes.
The girl stopped and looked dizzy. Her eyes reflected anger as she looked at Rant Valo.
"That's much better."
Rant Valo smiled seeing that she stopped making that pleading face. Rant Valo was just a villager and he didn't like seeing someone making such a face.
The girl was startled by his words. She looked away and avoided his gaze.
"If you promise me that you'll not bite me or attack me, I'll give this to you."
Rant Valo told her with a smile. Rant Valo looked at her face covered by the hood and couldn't help but notice the paleness of her skin. In contrast, her lips were blood red.
The girl stared at the fish in hesitation. She looked at Rant Valo and at the fish alternately. When Rant Valo saw that she was still not giving in, he placed the fish directly in front of her face.
Rant Valo saw the girl's throat move multiple times. Her eyes became entirely glued to the fish in his hands.
"But before that, promise me."
Rant Valo hid the fish behind him and stared at her eyes seriously. The girl looked away and slowly nodded her head.
"A promise is a promise, okay?"

Rant Valo stared at the girl and saw her nod again. Only then was he satisfied.
"Master, she promised!"
Rant Valo shouted at Floriana Sabina.
"Hahhh?! What's the difference?!"
Floriana Sabina shouted back. She was beside the campfire looking at the fishes in her hand and at the flame. She was still not sure if she can cook them.
"I'll help you cook that later! Just unseal her first!"
Rant Valo shouted back towards her. His throat felt coarse shouting that loud.
"Really!?"
An excited voice answered back, Rant Valo saw Floriana Sabina running towards him with the fishes skewered in her hands. She ran with a pata pata sound.
"Yes."
Rant Valo answered. Floriana Sabina pointed her finger at the girl and snapped her fingers.
"Puh!"
The girl let out a breath of air. She tried to open and close her mouth.
"That was so scary."
The girl said with a captivating voice. She looked at Rant Valo and smiled.
"Thank you, Big Brother."
The girl looked at Rant Valo in gratitude. Then she looked at Floriana Sabina in fear. She realized that she was just in the palm of Floriana Sabina's hands when she snapped her fingers.
She actually met such a powerful being.
"You're welcome. Here."
Rant Valo smiled back at her and moved the fish in front of her lips.
"Please hold it for me, Big Brother."
The girl started gulping down the fish bite by bite. Every time she takes a bite Rant Valo had to move the fish closer to her mouth.
She finished the fish quickly and she licked Rant Valo's fingers that were still holding some fish.
"Hey!"
Rant Valo felt an electrifying feeling when the girl licked his fingers. The fact that she looked the same age as he stimulated him a bit.

"But Big Brother, I want to lick your delicious fingers too."
The girl licked her lips as she said so. Her red irises stared straight at his eyes.
Gulp
Rant Valo couldn't help but swallow a mouthful of saliva. As someone who is a virgin, he wouldn't be able to endure such stimulation. His eyes were glued at the red lips of the girl.
Smack
"Fueh?!"
Floriana Sabina smacked the girl's head with the fishes in her hands. The girl flinched and looked at her fearfully.
"Stop seducing my disciple or I'll turn you into a mute forever."
Floriana Sabina stared at the girl coldly. As Rant Valo's Master, it is her duty to protect him.
The girl looked away and avoided her cold eyes.
"And you, Disciple, she obviously had malicious intentions yet you still fell for her tricks."
Floriana Sabina glared at Rant Valo. Rant Valo went back to reality and realized that his little brother was standing like a pillar.
"Ah, yes."
Rant Valo looked at the girl in fear. Floriana Sabina said earlier that she tried to bite her. Then wouldn't that mean that if she wasn't tied up she would've eaten him!?
"I thought you promised me!?"
Rant Valo pointed at the girl in anger. He was a villager through and through. Learning that someone planned to eat him kick-started his survival instincts.
"Big Brother, I never promised that I can't lick you?"
The girl tilted her head as she stared at Rant Valo in confusion. Rant Valo furrowed his eyebrows at her. She was obviously planning to eat him yet she was still pretending to be innocent.
"Don't do it again!"
Rant Valo's heart was beating so fast at the thought that he was almost eaten. He vented his unease by shouting at her.
"Okay, I guess?"
The girl nodded her head still confused.
Rant Valo calmed himself by breathing in and out in intervals. When his heart finally calmed down he opened his mouth to talk to her.
"Who are you?"
"Me?"
The girl looked at him blankly. There was no response from her.
"..I can't..remember..?"
The girl said in shock and confusion. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't remember her name. She looked around her in confusion and saw the forest around her.
"Huh? Where am I?"
The girl was shocked at her realization. She was like an entirely different person compared to before.
"What do you mean you can't remember?"

Nero Zero
Monsters plagued the lands for too long. No matter if one had fangs, beak, teeth, skin, fur, or feather, or was tall, stout, or diminutive, the people suffered. Until the Gadgeteers came with a device that could allow people to fight back. Powered by one's own magical power, feeding off of monster Essence, the Arbitrium bracer turned the tables. It also changed society. Strength of one's level cap was all that mattered. The strongest were Kings and Emperors. The weak or those too poor to afford the marvelous device, destitute. And so it has been for millennia. All that mattered was one's level cap. High, low, a fate decided the moment the strange contraption came alive. Too high and you were a threat to those interested in keeping the status quo, a weed to be nipped before it could grow and take root. Too low and you were nobody, fated to be a bit more than a simple farmer. What if someone, somewhere, came up with a zero for their level cap? Unable to use Essence, unable to level up. On all of recorded history, it never happened. Until it did. In a small village of fur-less and tail-less ape-beastkin, a boy found out he was uniquely handicapped. Nero's level cap was Zero. But he'd never let that stop him from reaching his goals. ------------------------------------------------ All stories have already been told. We merely reuse elements from them. From Joseph Campbell's Monomith to Stephen King's advice, and that encyclopedia of tropes you've visited, fiction has been dissected and reassembled countless times. One will surely find elements inspired on other works here. Just like cooking from basic ingredients, the recipe and presentation is what really matter. This is a fantasy adventure, of someone that goes from a zero to a slightly bigger zero. It will have romance but no harem. Cruelty but with hope dimly shining ahead. Lightweight where it can be, heavy where it must. Thanks for reading. Cover Credits (The cover is CC-BY-NC-SA): Steampunk Spider Bracer, by Daniel Proulx.
