Days had passed since the last day of his heat. The heavy feeling of missing his Alpha is still there but the hopelessness in his eyes, slowly fades away. The white long sleeves that is lying on the cold bed is staring blankly at him, eating away his conscience.

"Get out of my head, please. I want to get back to work!"

The immovable object just laid flat on his bed, waiting for him to throw it on the trash as if it never existed. The pain and suffering that he felt these past few days is something he never want to experience ever again.

"You ruined my not-so-perfect life! Why did I ever meet you?!"

Truthfully, he wished to meet his mate before he goes to old age. But he never want to meet him like that. He had wished for a mate that is sweet and kind, but not like him.

He never wished to be mated to a man like Primo Santoro. Brute and dangerous, he would rather die than be mated with him.

"I don't want you! I don't like you! Why does it have to be you?!"

Another silence answered him, since he is the only one inside of his apartment. Today is the last day of his heat leave and he needs to come back to work or his patients will soon die of aggravating pain and sufferings from their Alpha.

Something that he had experienced for a week of having a severe heat. This is the first time he had experienced something like this. Most of his heats are mild to moderate type of heats.

The pain from his lower abdomen are not that painful and much more bearable. He had seen people dealing with severe heat and they dealt it properly, even without an Alpha by their side.

But he never knew that it will be something like this. The pain is unbearable and he had to ask his sister to bring him food since he can't stand up on his own. In his lifetime, this is by far the worst heat he had experienced.

"I am so mad at you, right now! I hate you, Alpha! I don't want to see you! I don't want to be mated by you! Leave my thoughts alone!"

As he slams the door of his apartment, the Omega doctor stomps his way to the lobby and out of the complex building. He is late and he had to wait for a taxi to pass by or he will walk from his home to his office.

Minutes passed by his waiting, taxis are nowhere to be found. He tries to be calm and composed but his mind is running in circles at the thought of the Alpha. He frowns at himself and keeps on asking why he can't forget the Alpha at all.

Another minutes passed by, taxis are still nowhere to be found. He is getting pissed off by now and being calm won't do the trick. He looks around for another way of transportation when he spots a familiar car, slowing down his lane.

The car stops in front of him and rolls down his window. In curiosity, the doctor looks inside the car and sees his best friend back in college. Another doctor that works at their office is waving back at him.

He gasps and waves back at the doctor and gives him a wide smile.

"Alfred! Hi!"

Dr. Alfred Montez, a world-renowned doctor in the field of psychology. He is best know for his literary work about feral Alphas and their behaviors whenever Omegas are around.

He is also Nigel's crush back in college. They even dated for a while but the relationship did not work since Alfred can't tolerate Nigel's heat and his needs during the cycle. They talked about it and decided to be friends since their field of study inter correlates one another.

"Hop in! You're late!"

Nigel nods enthusiastically and gets inside the car. Once the car door closes, Alfred presses on the gas pedal and the car moves away from the bus stop. The Omega sighs deeply as he looks at his wrist watch and sees that he is thirty minutes away before being late.

He looks at the Alpha beside him and gives him a bright smile.

"Thanks, Alfred! If you did not see me at that bus stop, I will be late and will be scolded by the head of the department! Again!"

The Alpha chuckles and signals to the right to take a short cut to the hospital. Alfred says his welcome to the Omega and continues driving.

Truthfully, Alfred is thankful that he saw the Omega today since he has been wanting to call him so they can meet up and talk. Not about their past relationship that he already forgot but about something else.

The Alpha looks to the Omega and sighs softly, making sure that the Omega will not hear his gasping breath and his motioning conscience. Upon seeing the red light, he stops the car and clears his throat, getting Nigel's attention towards him instead of the road.

"Hey, Nigel. Can I invite you for coffee later around lunch time?"

The Omega looks at the Alpha with wonder. He is trying to figure out why the Alpha asked him for coffee even after knowing that he is already dating someone. He is not trying to cheat on his girlfriend, right?

The question remains unanswered. Nigel is about to give Alfred his answer when the car suddenly moves and another wave of silence passes them. Moments later, they arrive at the hospital and Nigel's secretary is already waiting outside the hospital entrance with her clipboard and her pen.

Looks like an Omega entered his office and he needs to rush to aid his needs. Upon parking the car, Nigel bids farewell to Alfred and rushes to his secretary, forgetting about Alfred's offer for a coffee and climbs the stairs to his office.

Alfred tries to stop him before sighing away and shakes his head.

"Looks like I just need to go to his office and talk to him. Maaan, I still can't believe he is his mate. A feral Alpha, huh? Nigel had this one bad. Poor little Omega."

Alfred switches off the engine of the car and locks it before walking towards the other side of the building where he rushes when he sees a nurse bleeding from a scratch. Feral scratches has toxins in them.

It can kill in a matter of hours if left untreated. In this case, the nurse has been bleeding for the past two hours and she needs immediate care. As soon as he sees how deep the wounds is, he immediately carries the nurse up and brings him in the emergency room.

The physician inside the emergency room thanks him and Alfred goes away, greeting the other employees of the hospital with his usual smile and charm. Alfred is the typical Alpha doctor that anyone sees in the hospital.

The Beta nurse goes inside with a smile and a sweet greeting before leaving the room without breaking her smile. Something is wrong and Alfred can sense it.
