Daime runs to where Mischka is to see how grave Marlene's injuries are and to pay for the hospital bill that they would give them. The Alpha is waiting for Francis to pick up his phone when he sees someone familiar, having a conversation to a Beta woman.

His breath hitches as he recognizes who the person is. Muddy brown hair, brown eyes, and a petite body that resembles like of a twink male. How can he forget this look? He was once the man he loved way back many Lunas ago.

Before, when he hasn't met Mischka or when he is still not sure about his bond, he used to think that the moment he sees him again, his heart will skip a beat.

That his breath will falter and he will be start struck, because finally, he saw him again. After many months he was stuck in Russia, all he can think of was him.

But now, he is standing there, a feet away from him, Daime's heart did not skip a beat. Mischka looks to his side and sees his mate, he calls him by his new name, making the Alpha to him and smile.

There is his mate. The person who can only make his heart skips a beat. The one person who can only make his breath falters whenever he sees his beautiful and adoring smile. The one person who can only make his legs wiggle like a piece of jelly that can't stand on its own.

In front of him is that person. And his name is Mischka. He walks towards him and gives him a tight hug. The worries that he had earlier are now all gone. He is happy to see his mate unhurt and smiling.

The Alpha looks over to his side and sees three police officers and a nurse. They were caring for Marlene's injuries while the two other officers is reprimanding a woman that looks like someone he knows.

He looks at her carefully and realizes who she is. He pushes Mischka behind his back as he stares at the woman, who is clearly not in the right mind. She is growling like an animal and will probably go feral any moment now.

"Is she okay?"

One of the officer spoke, looking at the injured victim who tried to stop the woman from destroying the entrance of the coffee shop. One of the officers that is attending Marlene nods his head as he finishes bandaging her arms.

"A few scratches here and there but nothing serious. She was also injected with an anti-tetanus to prevent any allergic reaction or any hypersensitivity from the scratches."

The head officer nods his head as he approaches the feral woman. Her hair is disheveled and her nails are dirty. They cuff her wrists and legs before carrying her on their shoulder like a bag of peanuts.

The head officer nods at Daime's direction before going straight to the exit of the hospital. They covered the woman's face to reveal any of her identity while Francis goes to Marlene's aid.

"One day. I just let you go out on your own for just a day, and this happened."

Even if Daime is relief that they are okay and nothing bad had happened to them. He is still not happy about what happened. He looks at Marlene with a stern look yet his eyes screams out worries.

Marlene bows her head in shame as she realizes why the Alpha is acting like this. Daime treats them like a family and he is worried for her safety since she is part of his family. A family that Daime never felt like being part of since the Santoros is all about business type deals.

The Alpha sighs as he places his hand on Marlene's head and ruffles her disheveled hair.

"Next time, call the cops."

Marlene nods at Daime, still looking down to the tiled floor. The feeling of embarrassment is still plastered on her face but Daime does not care about that anymore.

Francis helps her to stand up from the bleachers and puts one of her arms around his shoulder and puts his arm around his waits to support her from walking. Marlene carefully walks while Mischka hugs Daime tightly.

The safety that surrounds the Alpha is what makes Mischka feels a bit more better than earlier. He never knew that the Alpha will be this concern about his friends where his other Alphas before don't care about his friends well-being.

"Thank you."

Daime looks into Mischka's eyes and smiles. He knows what he meant and tightly hugs him in return. The Alpha even kisses Mischka on his forehead, making the Omega blush in return.

"Excuse me, love birds. Can't you see people are watching? Stop this lovey-dovey bullshit and let's go?"

Daime stares at her before rolling his eyes. Mischka chuckles as he places his head on the Alpha's chest. Marlene gawks at their reaction as she drags Francis away from the two love birds.

Francis chuckles but the stops when he sees a familiar man in front of him. He stares at the man while the man smiles at his direction. Marlene sees him and frowns. She never met anyone who looks like him before.

But the man looks familiar as if she had seen him on a magazine or newspaper article on the internet before. Marlene tilts his head before looking back to Daime's direction and the Alpha smiles.

"Nice to see you again, Drax."

The older Alpha smiles at him as he walks towards them, with a teasing smile. Looking behind Daime and sees a man, looking at him under his lashes while clutching at Daime's shirt.

"Is that your mate?"

Drax is trying to intimidate the Omega but Mischka doesn't seem like he is being intimidated. The older Alpha sighs and steps backward upon seeing how the Omega does not move from Daime.

"He looks pretty. But mine is prettier."

Daime suddenly puffs his chest out and smirks at Drax, the former rivalry of Santoros stands out. But this time it is different, Daime and Drax are boasting their Omegas at each other and no longer fighting against one another.

"Oh you've got to be kidding me."
