The first time he opened his eyes, darkness is what he sees. The second time he opened his eyes, he is already trying to find the light that will serve as his guide out of this void.

The third time he opened his eyes, he can hear his breath slowly losing its grip from his lungs and it is burning him from the inside. The fourth time he opened his eyes, he remembers something that resembles a voyage that he already regret.

The last time he opened his eyes, every single thing inside of this void stops. The wind that pricks his skin and the hollow yells coming from his vocal chords, everything seems to stop.

He tries to walk away from the place of his birth but the memories still haunts him until this day. The darkness of his memories that is blocking his path continues to grow until he becomes his enemy.

He tries to shout once again his name to help him but only his voice returned to his ears. He is lonely in this void but there is nothing he can do. There is no light and darkness seems to love engulfing him until he hits the deeper ends of this world.

He tries to feel himself, from his face to his feet, just to see in his mind that nothing is missing from his limbs. He tries to take a step out of this void but he felt as if he is just going in circles.

Where am I, was the first question that enters through his mind. Why am I here, the question he asked next. Am I the only one here, but no one answered.

None of his question were answered. He feels helpless and lonely. He can no longer imagine what was happening around him. The creature that he once has is no longer there as well.

This is the karma that he tries to ignore before. The warnings that are directly shooted at him and the pain that he clearly sees from his mate. He choose to ignore them all, thinking that they will soon disappear ad if they are not there in the first place.

This was his ultimatum. Until it wasn't.

The doctor rolled out Aiden's bed out of the operating room while they are cleaning up Primo's body. The surgery was successful and Aiden and Primo are no longer bonded. The screams from the Alpha are all part of the process but the feeling of being killed is what causing the pain.

A mating bite from a strong Alpha like Primo is a hard mark to removed from Aiden. It was too deep and the blades are having a hard time reaching it. Nigel sighs as he slumps back to a small chair after long hours of operation.

In his forty years of experience, he had never experienced something like this before. Any of his surgeries did not reach this too much pressure that he is thinking of stopping the operation or delaying it.

But seeing how Aiden struggles his way out of the Alpha's mating bite, he knows that he needs to help the Omega and continues with the operation. At last, after long hours of contemplating what the hell is he doing in his life, the operation ended with a successful result.

Aiden is now fine and free while the Alpha is still recovering from the shock of the removal of the bite. The pain will always be there and he will always be reminded of what he had done but there is nothing the doctor can do for him.

All he needs to do now is walk away from this terrible family known as the Santoros and live his life without anyone by his side. Nigel is about to go out of the operating room when he suddenly feels something.

He suddenly hears birds coming his way and the silent whispers of the forest. He looks outside and see whether there will be a storm coming but the sky is bright and the sun will soon set over the horizon.

He turns around and thinks for himself first before shrugging at that thought and walks out of the room. As soon as he closes the door, he hears a tiny whisper that resembles word that he is clearly terrified of.

"Mate."

He turns around and starts looking for the source of the voice before leaning back to the door and shakes his head.

"It can't be. There is no way."

He walks away from the operating room and goes to the office that the facility provides him as he feels like his body is about to give up and sits on his chair. The comfortable silence from his office and the scent of lavender coming from the humidifier suddenly made him feel sleepy.

He thinks of sleeping but before he can do that, another prick of the wind awaken his soul. Something is tugging his Omega towards a room that he clearly just went through. He thinks that he must've left something he owns inside the room and immediately goes there.

Aiden's fated Alpha sees the doctor and immediately pulls him away from the door. Nigel looks up at the Alpha as the Alpha warns him not to enter the room.

"He is not bonded and in rut. You will be in big trouble."

The doctor stops in his tracks and pushes the fated Alpha away. If his scent rubbed on him, his Omega will be undergoing another series of distress that none of them would've want to deal with.

"Thank you for the warning. I thought I left something in there."

Drax nods at him and watches the door walks away from the operating room. A swift of scent coming from the doctor makes Drax frown and bothered.

"Doctor, wait."

Nigel stops from his tracks and looks back at the confused Alpha. He looks at him straight in the eyes and takes a sniff of his scent. The familiar scent of coffee and sandalwood irk the Alpha and walks away from the doctor while shaking his head.

"Oh my goodness. You've got to be kidding me."

Nigel is shaking while Jasmine is walking in front of him. After knowing what Drax had just discovered, the doctor asks for the Matautia from the Alpha that is about to mate him right here and there.

"I was confused. How did this happened? I barely know the Alpha!"

The distress Omega shakes his head and contemplates if he should be running away from this situation or accept his fate like any other Omega that he had helped.

"I don't wanna be a guide forever. I'm-"

Nigel can only shake his head as he asks the Luna that guides them and gave them this third gender as to why she will give them either a worst Alpha or a better Alpha. In Nigel's case, he has a bad Alpha and he found him after breaking his bond with his previous Omega.

Aiden is still sleeping in his room while his father is on guard. Cassie, Drax, and Jasmine are the ones with Doctor Nigel who are in his office, trying to find a way for him to escape the hospital and get a flight to somewhere far from the feral Alpha inside of the operating room.

Truthfully, after Drax gave the information to the people inside of Nigel's temporary office, Aiden's nurse asks for some Alpha assistance to sedate the Alpha inside of the room while the others are thinking of a way out of this mess.

"What should I do now? I can't mate with him."

Drax looks at the doctor in pity of what he is about to do in hopes to not mate with his step cousin and be scarred for life.

"I have been wanting to get mated, that's a fact. But not to him. Even if I give him a chance to be better, I don't my mate to be him. He is too scary."

Drax watches as the poor Omega bows his head and shakes his head. The distress pheromones coming from him is too much to handle, making it more dangerous for the other Alphas to enter the room.

"What should we do now? Restrain Primo until the doctor is out of the hospital and even out of the country or let him enter the room until the Alpha calms down?"

Drax sighs since the Alpha himself doesn't know what to do at this point. He sits on one of the couch and thinks of a way to not let Primo meet the doctor and vice versa.

He looks around the room until his eyes land on Nigel's shirt. He leans forward the Omega until light bulb shows up his head.

"That could work. Yes, that could work."

Cassie looks at Drax with confusion and looks at the troubled Omega. She is trying to decipher what Drax means when she notices where Drax is looking.

"Wait… Why are you looking at his shirt? What are you trying to do, Drax?"

Drax only chuckles and grabs a pair of latex gloves and asks the doctor to remove his shirt. The doctor looks at him with a weird expression but the Alpha only shrugs his shoulder and asks him again.

"I don't what you are trying to do but here it is."

Drax nods his head and pulls away the shirt, making sure that it will not hit any of his clothing and walks out of the room. He passes by his other step cousin, who are clearly trembling in fear as they listen to Primo screaming inside of the room.

Drax inhales a deep breath and enters the room, leaving all of his worries out in the open while praying that this will work and Primo will not kill him.
