Quietness is what filled the place where Aiden hides all of his insecurities towards his mate and his life. The stillness of the place is what kept him alive and well as he knows that his Alpha is not there to hurt him.

"Another failure."

Aiden looks up to see another figure of himself that is surrounded with bright light and a sad smile. The Omega shows him a tight smile and looks away. The figure moves closer and hugs Aiden from the front.

"It's okay, poor Omega. You still have yourself. Don't get lost to your emotions too much."

Aiden nods his head while covering it with his thin arms and trembling fingers. Moments later, the stillness comes back with deafening silence and reconciliation of what will be his life if he did not met any of the Santoros.

Going back to his single life filled with dreams of meeting his blue eyed prince charming that will love him until the ends of the world and having fun with Cassie back in the Philippines.

"That will be a great life."

Yes, it will be a great life. If only Aiden knew that his life will turn out to be like this, he won't allow Daime or Primo to court him or even agree to their relationship.

He doesn't know where it all went wrong. At first, he thought that their relationship will flow as smoothly as possible, no quarrels and lots of loving moments. But he never knew that it will be something like this.

Painful and not worth fighting for. All of these thoughts did not disperse in Aiden's mind. They were just there to remind him that he was force to enter the relationship because he fell with one and thinking that he will fall with other one.

In all honesty, Aiden only fell for Primo. He thought that maybe—somehow, somewhere—if he will be with Daime, Aiden will eventually fall for him too. That happened but not the way he wanted.

Aiden fell for Daime when Primo was not around. At some point, Aiden felt as if he was cheating to Primo with Daime but the older Alpha cleared it out that since they were in a three-way relationship, he will accept it if Aiden will date Daime as well.

Not caring about what Daime would feel about their relationship, Aiden pursue what he wanted in their relationship. May dates had passed when he started to notice that Daime was being temperant in everything that he do with Primo.

Aiden tried to cut his time between Primo and Daime and that's when he realized that he was spending more time with Primo rather than with Daime. He planned for a trip for three of them but that didn't came true when Grandmama arrived in the Philippines.

He held back the trip and thought to tell the two Santoros about it again when she was gone but then she used Aiden to bring Primo back to Switzerland.

Aiden can only cry when he remembered about his planned trip. Now that Daime is dead, he can no longer fulfill that trip. He sighs as he looks at the pitiful emptiness that surrounds him.

"What a pity life that I have. I wish I can just turn back time and redo all of the shitty things I inflicted to myself."

Tears start to swell in his eyes and slowly drips down to his cheeks as he tries to breathe and force to forget everything that had happened.

"What did I do to deserve this? It is too painful."

Footsteps from afar emerge, making Aiden looks up and gasps. In front of him is a similar figure of Daime. With his silver eyes and bright smile.

The figure sits down in front of Aiden and stares deeply into his muddy brown eyes. Between time and space, Aiden seems to be stuck in between. He is reluctant to move and hugs the figure, scared that it will just disappear.

He is scared to speak or even blink because this figure might vanish when he does. The figure opens his mouth and speaks. Aiden feels his heart warms in return because finally, he hears Daime's voice after such a long time.

"How are you, love? Were you doing fine?"

Aiden cries even more as Daime continues to speak to him. His heart is pounding loudly inside of his chest and the feeling of happiness that he has been wanting to feel again is there with Daime.

"Are you real? Are you the same Daime that I know? Are you my real Alpha?"

The figure that looked like Daime chuckles as he flops to the ground and caresses Aiden's cheeks and shows him a little smile. He wipes the tears that dried up on his cheeks and kisses him on his forehead.

"I can be anything. I can be real and I can be an illusion from this void. It is your choice which one to believe in."

Aiden stares at the figure and tears start to fall all over again. He thought at that moment, this Daime in front of him is finally real. The figure of the man that he has been wanting to see since the day that he left him.

The Omega takes a deep breath and tries to evenly his breathing before he could collapse on the cold ground. Daime catches the Omega as he falls then chuckles.

"It wasn't your fault that you fell in love with a monster in disguise. This is what love is. It is brings you happiness then turns it into a nightmare.

This could be the reason why he left you, Aiden. He must've felt that his feelings are not being reciprocated because you only look at the other Alpha.

Sleep well, my dear Omega. But beware and swear that when you wake up, things are no longer the same and your Alpha might also be a different one.

Sleep tight, little Omega. For this could be the last time you will get hurt and enter this emptiness. The next time you wake up, everything will be okay and your Alpha will take care of you.

Good night."

He gently puts Aiden to the cold ground and surrounds him with clouds to serve as a blanket for the trembling body. He stands up and disappears into the darkness of the void.

Outside of this void, two Alphas are already fighting outside of the hospital. Teeth are bared and strengths are being tested. These two Alphas may bring or break Aiden in the future.

But one thing is for sure, the third Alpha will no longer be part of this and will live his life the happiest with his life mate.
