Danger Zone Chapter 13

Cassie is laughing so hard while Aiden retells the story that could've been a beautiful relationship if only the butler knows how to properly plan his revenge against their family.

"Maaan, which brings me memories when we find out the plan of revenge against your family."

Aiden laughs alongside Cassie when he remembers the exact same thing. He laughs until he couldn't breathe anymore but then, he stops.

"Hey, Cassie…"

Cassie stops from laughing and looks at Aiden with a confused face. Minutes earlier, they are laughing about the failed confession that Aiden has but now, Aiden is in serious mode again.

She looks behind her, at the exact direction that Aiden is looking and her eyes widen in surprise. There, standing a few meters away from them is their forensic medicine professor, Primo.

Aiden and Cassie scramble to their feet and gather everything that they need. But instead of perfect coordination between the two of them, Aiden suddenly slips down to the ground.

Cassie yelps and tries to hold on to Aiden but her hand slides down and Aiden goes straight to the ground.

"Young mas-!"

Cassie covers her mouth and Aiden looks at her with his eyes widen in surprise. Cassie looks in front of her and stares at this ocean blue eyes that came out of nowhere.

Aiden sees Cassie's reaction and slowly look up as this violent aura looms over him. He looks up and sees Primo staring back at him with a blank expression.

Yet his eyes are longing. There is something about them that Aiden can't pinpoint.

Primo draws his hand to Aiden's in which the latter holds before he carefully stands up.

"Are you okay?"

Primo's voice is as deep as the Caribbean Sea. Aiden nods at him and signs at Cassie to move already. But Primo's hand grasps Aiden's so tight that latter almost yelp for his hand.

"You're hurt. Let me bring you to the infirmary."

His statement is not a request. No.

It is an order that both Aiden and Cassie can't say no to. In response, Aiden just nods but he did not expect that Primo will do something like this.

"Kyah!"

Aiden suddenly wraps his arms around Primo as the professor lifts Aiden from the ground and carries him to the infirmary. Cassie watches them dumbfounded as she follows them behind.

Aiden hides his face at the crook of Primo's neck to avoid the random glares from the students and to Primo's fan club.

In the middle of it all, one man is looking at them with a smirking expression. He chuckles to himself as he snaps a photo of Primo, carrying Aiden in his arms.

"You are not playing fair, my dear cousin."

He said as he stares at the picture in hand. He never knew that he needs to use another method to win this chase that they are doing.

"Looks like I might ask for help on this one."

He shakes his head as he walks back to his class while his classmates are talking about what they saw at the hallway near St. Margaret Hall.

The Broadcasting students snap more pictures as they decide if they should put this as the headline of the university's newspaper.

"What do you think happened there?"

"Why is Mr. Santoro carrying Aiden like that?"

***

"Aiden is so lucky! Do you think they are dating?"

***

"Wow! You suddenly became famous after one picture!"

Cassie exclaims while she cooks breakfast for the both of them. She wakes up early today because both of them don't have class and it is her turn to cook breakfast.

"Shut it! It's not funny! What if my sister sees this? I am so dead!"

Aiden grumbles under his breath as he reads the comments coming to random students after the university's newspaper is released by the University's Broadcasting team after months for their next release.

The team usually releases two newspapers every six months for a whole year. The team did say that they might release the second one a month later than scheduled.

Aiden can't even believe that he will be part of the newspaper, much worst on the front page of this year's latest volume.

He sighs before throwing his phone away from him and looks at Cassie who is busy cooking their breakfast as he puts their plate on the table and grabbing drinks for the two of them.

"Cassie, what shall we do if ever my sister will find out about this?"

Cassie looks at Aiden with a worry plastered on his face. She sighs and places the food in the middle of them before sitting at her place.

She holds Aiden's hand and massages it slowly while looking straight at Aiden's eyes.

"I will try to confront the Santoros about this. So, if ever your sister sees this newspaper, we have an answer to give to her."

Aiden's eyes sparkles in surprise and gawks at Cassie's plan.

"Will you really do that for me?"

Cassie nods before letting go of Aiden's hand and gets her portion of food from the other plate.

"Of course. Your my boss and also my friend. Plus, your sister is my head master. What you aid is what I shall deliver."

Aiden smiles at her as he thanks him for her service. Cassie only smiles at him and starts to eat her breakfast.

Cassie looks over to Aiden, who is eating quietly while looking at his phone at the same time. She smiles at him but her mind is going through the process of the plan that she told Aiden.

She can't helped but wonder if what will Aiden's sister reaction when she finds out that the Santoros are targeting Aiden without knowing who he is.

She scratches the thought and continues eating her breakfast when she receives a text message from the person that she and Aiden is most afraid of.

Cassie gulps and shakily grabs her phone from the table and opens the message coming from that person.

"Report."

Cassie stops from eating before replying to the message. Aiden looks at Cassie who is sweating profusely, making him stop from eating as well.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?"

Aiden's worried voice wakes Cassie from her thoughts as she shows Aiden who is the sender of the message.

Aiden's eyes widen in surprise and looks at Cassie with a trembling expression.

"What shall we do now? Improvise?"

Cassie could only sigh because all of those plans of confrontation to the Santoros are already deleted by one text message.

"We are so screwed."
