Danger Zone Chapter 10

Daime goes back home with a giant smile spread around his cheeks. Their oldest cousin, Drax is the person who welcomed him since Primo is too busy with his paper works.

"So, how far is this café again that it took you almost ten hours before you decided to go home?"

Daime stops on his tracks before facing his cousin who has a blank expression on his face. The youngest Santoro grimaces at him as he tries to come up with an excuse that can save him from an interrogation.

"Well… it's not that far… but… uh…"

Drax stares at him with a slight smile but his face says that he doesn't believe Daime at all. He is just waiting until Daime decides to tell him the whole truth as to why he came home late.

Sweats become to appear from Daime's forehead and neck while thinking of another excuse but nothing came up to his mind. The youngest sighs and reveals the real truth to Drax.

"I lost track of time because I was distracted of someone else's coco de mer."

Drax sighs before smacking Daime's head for being a pervert while he thinks of himself of who is the person, Daime is pertaining to.

"So who is this person you are talking about?"

Daime's mind suddenly stops. He doesn't know that Drax will ask further. He is not ready to answer him about who the person is but he knows that he doesn't have a choice but answer.

"An angel."

Drax frowns as he sits down on the couch while Daime takes the other side of the sofa bed. He can see Daime contemplating to answer but Drax is not going anywhere unless he admits the person's identity.

"I didn't ask what he is to you. I ask who."

Daime looks at his cousin, still clear with his contemplation, making Drax looks at him straight in the eyes. The eldest is trying to pressure Daime in admitting so he can have a perfect conclusion as to why his cousin is being like this.

"You will call me crazy if I admit who he is."

This made Drax more curious than ever. Now, he wants to know who the man is. Before, he is just teasing Daime to tell him who he is just to see if his observations are correct.

Daime is in love with someone important.

Drax finds out about it when he suddenly became excited to go somewhere before. The youngest emotions are still undeveloped and easy to see. They are as clear as glass.

"Try me."

It's a bluff. But Daime doesn't know that. A Second generation Santoro like Drax never bluffs. Their presence is too proud and they have a lot of pride that made them intimidating to the other Santoros.

Daime sighs and says the one name that Drax never expect him to say.

"It's Aiden."

Drax gawks when he hears the name and immediately leans back to the couch before looking around the living room to check if Primo is around.

Before calling his cousin's name with a whisper, making sure that Primo will not hear them talking about this person.

"Daime! Are you crazy?! Of all the people in this fucking world, how did you fall in love with him?!"

Daime scoffs as he leans back to his side of the sofa. He stares up to the ceiling before smiling down to his cousin. His silver eyes sparkle like the bright stars in the dark blue sky.

"I met him at my lowest. When my sister went away and when my brother got married of to a fancy gold digger. He just entered my life and left a bigger hole that I want to fill up again."

Drax sighs and wishes to every God that exists in this universe that Primo will not hear them talk. But fate is too cruel to grant such a petty wish without giving them a bigger sacrifice.

From the back door, a titan heard everything that his cousins are talking about. He stops in his tracks to listen for more and when he hears the youngest's story on how he met his angel, he feels some kind of pain in his heart.

He never wished for this to happen but if it is destined to be, then so be it.

That titan enters the scene with a blank expression. He looks at the two shocked face as his cousin slowly stands up from his seat, facing him with the toughest expression he could give.

"Primo…" Daime whispers his name as if it is forbidden, making Drax looks at them with anticipation shown to his face.

Primo stares at his cousin before sighing to oblivion, cursing out to the petty fate that gives them this kind of punishment. If it is a punishment, per se. Daime gulps and waits for his cousin to say something.

He is so nervous but if it is for Aiden, he is willing to fight against his cousin.

Primo looks away before scoffing, making Daime flinch and stares at Drax, who is just sitting there at staring at them.

Daime stares at him with a worried face but when he notices how Primo smirks at him, he knows that he is in trouble and his cousin is thinking of suggesting something that they will regret in the long run.

"Primo… Are you planning on something?"

Drax, who is just staring at them, suddenly leans forward from where is sitting as he waits for Primo to voice out whatever suggestion is this.

"If you really can, let's do this."

It's more like a threat rather than a suggestion. Drax perks up from his seat and is about to ask Primo if he is crazy when Daime gives him the answer that he wants.

"I will do everything for Aiden. So, I will accept your challenge."

Drax exasperates a sigh. He didn't know his cousins are these crazy. He knows how wild Santoros are when it comes to courting someone they considered a "potential lover".

Primo nods and Daime smiles back to him, making Drax shakes his head.

"You've got to be kidding me."
