Fern arrived at the site where the old guys from the headquarters told him to visit.

The site should be a prison where an Ancient Cursed Arcana was imprisoned. Based on his understanding, it should be quite a well-hidden place considering that the prison was left untouched for such a long time.

'Hmmm… This place looks more barren than I thought…'

The sacred sword Arcana flew to this place alone since he's confident now with his power. He noticed that though there were green areas with lakes and rivers, places with barren soil can easily be found everywhere.

Aside from a few thriving locations, this place doesn't really suit a human settlement… There are too many strong Evil Beasts that lurk underground and even underwater.

Then, Fern found a group of Inferno Wolves… They seem to be larger and stronger than the ones that can be found somewhere in the kingdom.

"I hope they can last longer…" Fern said after deciding on what to do.

Now that he managed to escape from the binding stone, he felt even stronger and he doesn't really care whether he would have to face power Cursed Arcana today…

He wanted to test his powers as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately, he couldn't find a good target while traveling up here. Perhaps, these wolves would entertain his lonely journey in this place.

Whom~

He appeared above the Inferno Wolves who were seemingly eyeing a small family of Iron-Clawed Bears not too far from them.

"Mystic Vortex…"

Fern activated one of his skills to test the power of the Inferno Wolves… Though he could easily kill all of them with one of his Awakened Abilities, he decided to try his weaker skills first since it's been a while that he used them.

The Mystic Vortex targeted the area where the Inferno Wolves are hiding… The skill his the ground and created a chaotic vortex throwing the plants, stones, trees, and even beasts around the area…

Awoo!

The wolves weren't in their strongest form yet as the sun is still high up in the sky… However, they could easily trace the source of the attack…

They saw the floating sword with a golden handle and white blade. It doesn't exude a strong aura but they know that this opponent is hard to deal with.

Aside from that, they wouldn't gain anything from fighting a Sentient Arcana…

They don't have any meat they could eat after destroying them... Apparently, the leader of the Inferno Wolves wasn't new to these Sentient Arcana. He knows their existence and fought quite a number of them.

As a matter of fact, the beast has destroyed tens of them in the past… However, he wasn't quite happy with those wins since after exhausting most of their energy and sacrificing many of his subordinates, they were not gaining anything from it aside from experiencing high-level battles.

Raahh!

The young inferno wolves immediately attacked after seeing their opponent… Flame Breath and Fire Balls were thrown to the sentient arcana.

They were the only long-range skills they possess anyway.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The luxurious floating sword was hit directly! It was probably too slow to dodge or perhaps, the Arcana was actually underestimating their powers.

The collision of their skills and the Arcana created a thick smoke around the area of the explosion. It appears that the sword managed to create a shield where the spells hit…

Whooosh~

A black wave of sword slash was suddenly thrown to them and hit three Inferno Wolves! Their bodies were cut in half as their blood splattered everywhere.

Boom!

The leader realized that their opponent is stronger than all the previous Sentient Arcana he battled against with.

However, as he was about to order a retreat, he saw a tear in space appearing above them…

Roaaarrr!

The Evil Beasts realized that escaping is not possible as they used all their Energy to cast all of their Arcane Magic!

At this point, their Blazing Claws, Flaming Body, and their Inferno Gaze are useless… They tried using Fire Balls and Flame Breath but it has a cooldown and they have to wait for a few more seconds before they can use it again!

Fern noticed that the Wolves were no longer resisting as they waited for their deaths…

He felt satisfied after seeing their actions. This is how it should be, weaker creatures should just wait for their deaths. If they're a bit stronger, they can still try to struggle and entertain him, perhaps he would pity them and give them mercy.

"Void Vacuum…"

He finally completed casting his Arcane Magic…

The tear on the space created a huge vacuum eating up all the Inferno Wolves around… It can also be seen that the plants, stones, and other things on the ground weren't taken by the vacuum…

It shows the impressive control of the Sword Arcana.

"That's easier than I thought…"

Fern remained floating in the sky as he checked his remaining Mystical Energy… He felt that he could still cast the same Arcane Magic a couple more times before he'll start feeling exhausted.

Nevertheless, he was still unsatisfied as he continued his way to the site…

'Minotaurs? I'm getting near I guess…' Fern mused after seeing a group of organized minotaurs hunting for food… They have decent equipment and they are working like trained individuals.

Aside from that, they are actually using a sword instead of an axe! They were even proficient with it!

This is quite a new thing for him.

'Well, it's really different in this forsaken land…' The Sword Arcana could only blame the weirdness of this land as he decided to slaughter the minotaurs with another one of his skills.

It is a simple Sword Dash…

His blade glowed brightly as he also used various sharpening and strengthening magic to enhance himself.

He knows that these creatures were quite tough so he has sharpened himself a bit more.

Whoosh~

Then, as soon as he used his Sword Dash… He appears like a beam of light as he passed through the largest Minotaur who is giving a command to his whole group…

The Minotaur's head was pierced by the beam of light before his body dropped to the ground, lifeless.

The other beasts realized what happened as they tried to take vengeance for their leader…

Roar!

However, their strength wasn't enough as they didn't even last a minute before all of them were killed mercilessly.

The Sacred Sword Arcana felt satisfied with the result but because of his proud nature, he failed to sense a flying beast observing his every movement.
