I Reincarnated As A Shinai Chapter 28

Reiji had never thought of becoming a hero at all. He even felt that his skill set was meant for a bully. The Overload Skill and his Sword Kinesis was a perfect combination to bully an opponent.
The Sword Kinesis will allow him to approach his enemy from any angles and the Overload will allow him to restrict their movement.
Due to this, he realized that even if he was alone and unable to use kendo techniques, the two skills may be enough to defeat his enemy as long as he has enough Skill Points.
"Haa~ It seems that getting Skill Points was getting harder and harder."
Reiji thought for a moment and asked the guide.
"Guide, is there any other method to earn Skill Points? I just thought that it is a very difficult, and slow process with the mission thing. You can see how hard these missions are getting, right?"
[ The other methods were still locked. You need to complete more missions to unlock them. ]
"Well… Thank you for answering…"
He was truly thankful as he actually expected that the guide would just ignore him again. Luckily, it seems that it will answer questions that are important or related to his growth.
Now that he has three missions that he had to complete, he had to make Diether a bit stronger and teach him more kendo techniques including those that are no longer being taught in modern kendo.
Reiji contemplated the whole night about his plans for this young man. He wasn't hurrying him to grow stronger and was only concerned for the kid since he doesn't have a family with him whom he could rely on. Diether only has Reiji, his master, to take care of him.
As Reiji understood, the strength of a person was extremely important to survive in this world so he can't let Diether grew up as a weak individual.

After all, who can say that these Evil Beasts would stay outside of villages and towns forever?
As far as he can see, the three-eyed viper or maybe any flying beast could easily cause some troubles to small villages like the one they were in. Even traveling can be difficult if you don't possess the strength to protect yourself from the bandits.
It will be an arduous task for the young man but this will be for his own sake.
Soon, a 3-year training plan for Diether has been made.
In truth, Reiji had first calculated it as a 7-year plan, but because he considered the existence of the Spiritual Energy in helping Diether with his growth, he devised a 3-year training plan instead to help the young man.
It may be a short one but since Diether had nothing else to do, Reiji was sure that the three years would be enough.

"They're expensive…"
Diether muttered after getting into his bed. He was referring to the Magic Weapons he saw this afternoon. He was still feeling amazed by the attractive aura that they emitted this afternoon. Unfortunately, he could not afford those items.
Anyway, he already has his master with him… He only considered having them since they seem to be something that a Hunter should possess…
Well, he wasn't sure, to be honest.
He looked at his master and it seems that he was in meditation.
He already placed the shinai on a pillow just like what he always does.
His Master Reiji already told him that he didn't require any sleep and he wouldn't feel the sensation of the soft pillow and so he can be placed anywhere with a nice view.
Of course, he wouldn't have such a sensation as it would be weird if his master would feel every time he hits something.

But even with all that, Diether didn't dare to just place his master on the side. The bamboo sword has sentience!
So he had to treat it as a living being and give him the respect he deserves.
"Oh, right! The book!"
He remembered the book that he purchased for 50 silver coins. It contains the list of Evil Beast and other beasts including their cores' characteristics.
The small book has about 200 pages although it was only a pocket-sized book.
He browsed for a bit and found names and simple drawings of each evil beasts in their region.
It was very interesting since, during his days in school, the matter of the evil beasts weren't being discussed at all. Their existence was only taught as something very dangerous.
Reading about them now felt that he slowly uncovering the secrets of the world.
'Well, maybe because we're still too young… Probably, only after completely learning the mysteries of Spiritual Energy are we allowed to learn them in school.'
His knowledge about the energy wasn't that solid when he left. Most of the knowledge that was ingrained in his mind were those things that were taught by his talented older sister, Aria Luxford.
Haa~
Diether sighed after remembering his older sister that was always worrying about him.
He smiled wryly before shaking his head to gather his thought.
While he was flipping the pages, he arrived in the middle part of the book.
The left and right pages weren't filled with information about an evil beast or their descriptions, it was a map of their kingdom!
"Oh! This is a detailed work… All the important places that were taught in school were noted here…"
Diether said with a smile after observing the map for a while.
It seems that he caught his master's attention as he had also finished his meditation and the sword floated beside him.
Diether was aware that his master couldn't communicate with him if he wasn't being held or attached to his body. So he held the tsuka, as his master said, and as he expected, Reiji had questions for him.
"Is this map… for this kingdom?"
"Yes…"
"So we're in the Chodora Kingdom, huh."
This was the first time that Reiji learned the name of the kingdom he was in.
"Where are we?"
"We're here at Farahn Village… It's south of the Rosen Town where I previously worked as a garbage collector."
"Oh… So the thick forest further south of this village was called Wailing Forest. Hmm… It seems that there's another town after passing through this thick forest…"
"Mhmm… This is also my first time learning about it."
Diether was only aware of important places within the kingdom.
Those places are the landmarks taught to them during their school days, those were the Eternal King's Palace at the northern part of the kingdom, the Croftvalley Fortress at the southern border where the story of Great Hero and General Maximilian originated, there was also the tallest Arcanist Tower, the Hunter Association's Headquarters, the Violent Lake at the east region, the Chodora Arcane Academy, the Dormant Precipice, and other places that would ignite the pride of Chodorans.
"Mhmm… This is interesting…"
Reiji muttered as he glanced at certain places within the kingdom.
