I Reincarnated As A Shinai Chapter 11

Diether was surprised seeing that the previous pool of blood around the Silver Swordsman has disappeared.
'Is this one of Master's abilities? Is that his food?'
His thoughts run wild and it got to the point where he imagined that if they are in a desert and his master became hungry, it would be his end... because no blood can be consumed there, he had to offer his blood for his master to live...
'This...'
"Diether... Mr. Diether Luxford?"
"Oh, yes?"
"We would take up your offer. We can still reach the village before sunset if we walk now... but I would like to bury my Uncle's corpse first if it's fine."
"I see... Of course, I'm willing to help."
Diether smiled at them as he approached the shinai and picked it up. He was intending to explain his thought to his master.
"Hey! Tap that sword using my form..."
Reiji immediately said after Diether picked up the shinai.
"Sword?"
"That Arcana used by the swordsman!"
Diether glanced around and saw a sharp sword that was still drenched with some blood from the assassins.
Its blade wasn't even like made of normal steel as it was dyed with purple. The handle also has an exquisite design and it doesn't have any wear and tear that anyone would expect if the sword was being used for many years.
It was either being maintained properly or it was one of the abilities of the Arcana.
Soon, Reiji got all the information from the Arcana.

"An epic rank sword! Impressive!"
Diether heard his master praising it and was also impressed at the rank of the sword. He was intending to pick it up but he suddenly remembers the two girls behind them.
The two might think that he was planning of taking it with him.
He looked at them but the two weren't even looking at him. Marian seems to be ensuring that Rina was all fine.
The boy picked up the sword and walked towards the two.
"Here, take this... Although your uncle was no longer here, his Arcana would accompany you in your journey..."
Diether smiled and said to Rina who still has a bit of tear on her face.
Reiji approved the young man's action. He was not greedy to any worldly materials which can save his life on many occasions.
After burying the man's corpse, they quickly started to head towards the nearest village.
Their group barely arrived at the Farahn Village before the sunset.
The village wasn't large but it wasn't too small since there were about three thousand villagers living here.
There was also a festive atmosphere as they seem to be celebrating something. There were many people busy outside their houses.
They quickly found an inn that has an available room as they rented two rooms. The two girls will be staying in a single room.
"Are you planning to stay here in this village?"
Rina asked Diether after reserving their room. Marian already got the keys as she first went upstairs to check the rooms. Apparently, they booked the most expensive ones and they didn't let Diether pay for this.
This made him thankful as honestly, he doesn't have money with him.

"Yes, but I may be leaving after some time."
Soon, they ate their dinner as they chatted something not related to the assassins.
Diether noticed that the two had only truly relaxed after stepping into the village. They must've felt safe here so they can even chat with random things.
Anyway, this may even be their last time to see each other so he treasured the moment as he got as much information as he could.
After all, they were planning to go home while he was planning to train together with his master here.
"Urgh... I need to earn money but who would hire a child like me..."
He needed money to eat food and have a place to stay. His current room was paid by the two girls so he didn't have to worry tonight but since they will leave tomorrow, he had to have some sort of income for the coming days.
Diether was disheartened after remembering his current predicament. But as he looked at the shinai tied on his waist, his spirits lifted up as he slept soundly during the whole night.
The day had been so long and it exhausted him physically and mentally.
He can only put his trust in his master for him to be stronger and be better.
On the next day, the two girls were preparing to leave the village as they even hired another carriage to send them to the nearest city at the south.
"Diether... Thank you so much for your help at that time. We owe you our life."
"Oh... Don't mind it. If I have some time. I'll visit your place..."
Marian and Rina smiled hearing this as that was what they wished to happen as well.
On the other hand, Diether didn't know their place and he only knows that they seem to be from House Larkinson and Marian was a member of some Chaos Knights.
As for Rina Keystone, she must be a young princess or something of this prestigious family. After all, she called the Silver Swordsman Graham Frost as her Uncle. She must be from a powerful family of warriors...
"Hey, Ask for some money. You don't have money with you, right?"
Reiji said to the young man.
"Eh? But that's..."
"Embarrassing? What's more embarrassing than to die in hunger?... Hurry, they're about to leave..."
Reiji urged the young man. Anyway, he wasn't the one asking for money as Diether will bear the embarrassment.
"This... Asking two fragile girls for some money... Sigh~ Since master says so..."
Diether took a deep breath before he asked. He explained that his savings were lost somewhere while traveling here.
He can only promise to repay them once they meet again.

Nero Zero
Monsters plagued the lands for too long. No matter if one had fangs, beak, teeth, skin, fur, or feather, or was tall, stout, or diminutive, the people suffered. Until the Gadgeteers came with a device that could allow people to fight back. Powered by one's own magical power, feeding off of monster Essence, the Arbitrium bracer turned the tables. It also changed society. Strength of one's level cap was all that mattered. The strongest were Kings and Emperors. The weak or those too poor to afford the marvelous device, destitute. And so it has been for millennia. All that mattered was one's level cap. High, low, a fate decided the moment the strange contraption came alive. Too high and you were a threat to those interested in keeping the status quo, a weed to be nipped before it could grow and take root. Too low and you were nobody, fated to be a bit more than a simple farmer. What if someone, somewhere, came up with a zero for their level cap? Unable to use Essence, unable to level up. On all of recorded history, it never happened. Until it did. In a small village of fur-less and tail-less ape-beastkin, a boy found out he was uniquely handicapped. Nero's level cap was Zero. But he'd never let that stop him from reaching his goals. ------------------------------------------------ All stories have already been told. We merely reuse elements from them. From Joseph Campbell's Monomith to Stephen King's advice, and that encyclopedia of tropes you've visited, fiction has been dissected and reassembled countless times. One will surely find elements inspired on other works here. Just like cooking from basic ingredients, the recipe and presentation is what really matter. This is a fantasy adventure, of someone that goes from a zero to a slightly bigger zero. It will have romance but no harem. Cruelty but with hope dimly shining ahead. Lightweight where it can be, heavy where it must. Thanks for reading. Cover Credits (The cover is CC-BY-NC-SA): Steampunk Spider Bracer, by Daniel Proulx. Heart of the World (LitRPG)
This is the story of how I stabbed a bear. Well... technically speaking, that became the moment my life went into a vastly different direction, all on my way to 'The Mission'. The one I had been given alongside two other seasoned players. To help people in a world with a world. But, oh hoh, that bear... Don't get me started on that. So, apart from that, here is the gist of the other part. I'm a year long employee. Though, several years before I became an employee of theirs, this crazy ensuing madness of a Full Dive battle royale between even more companies started to boil over to a breaking point. Mine thought to search for something that would truly blow the competition out of the water. Well, they found it. Deep under the sea actually. They called it a game changer. Rumors abounded of course. But the most common knowledge became that it was a power source unlike the world had ever seen. However, I can tell you now, the unknown sometimes bump back. Especially when experimenting on highly unknown elements. Still, years safely went by and thus I became a developer there. Now, what does any of this got to do with stabbing a bear? Well, ask them that! They started it all. I'm new remember! Though, chaos ensued, and well, I was there. It probably helped that I had proven myself a good fighter in game and that I had some knowledge that could help with the triplets. Oh, but my sister would box my ears if she ever realized how little time I spent learning what the other developers created in the game before I had to go in there on, 'The Mission.' So, this is a story of a mission to save the people in Realm of Ancients. Not those rookies! Oh no, that was just a precurser. AND THERE WAS THE BEAR! Sorry, I had trouble getting over it. But that specific moment changed things. -- -- Hi! This is a project I have started for the fun. This is not your typical comedy. Yes, I added quite a bit humour to the story, BUT as things go into the eye of the storm the character will face challenges that hits him down. So it is not comedy in every chapter. But what do they say, when you've hit bottom, only way to go is up! :D I am always open to suggestions that might take the story to new heights, so you all are welcome to discuss the story in the comments. Just remember the all important SPOILER tags. ;) -Omri - I'd truly appreciate if you rate the story and leave reviews as we go. ;)
