Grandfather Gu couldn't help but frown upon hearing Xu Nuan's words. His lips pursed into a thin line when he remembered about the banquet last time that she had attended.

He is infamous for having complaints by his female-staff. He recently got divorced who left him for cheating on her with his secretary.

He has warned Xingren when he found out that she is planning to launch her clothing brand and has seek an investment from him. Despite knowing his character well, she ignored it and told him that it's just a business.

He nodded at him in greeting unwillingly. He raised his brows when he noticed Grandfather Gu signalling him to come.

" Mr. Yang, please excuse me." As said this, he slipped out of this awkward-uncomfortable encounter. He glanced at Xingren before leaving who seemed to have no intention of leaving Mr. Yang alone.

After Yuhan left, the man smirked at Xingren, " Ms. Gu, where is the girl that you were going to introduce to me? I hope you won't disappoint me." He asked, raising his wine glass suggestively.

Gu Xingren pursed her lips and glanced at Yuhan hesitantly who was talking to Grandfather Gu and smiled, " She will be here soon. And you won't be disappointed. She is beautiful and perfect for being the future Mrs. Yang." she clinked her glass with his after saying this.

'Xu Nuan, you think you can have everything just because you have Grandfather supporting you? But too bad, I have the whole Gu family, only Grandfather won't be able to fight them.' she smirked while thinking about marrying Xu Nuan to Mr. Yang, and getting more investment and support for her new brand.
