Soul Weapon Awakening, My Weapon Is A Harmonica Chapter 13

Looking at the scrawny middle-aged man leaving, Copperfield saw the symbol of the Cavendish Family on the man's sleeve.
Originally, Copperfield had wanted to ask Leader Clyde if there were any clues regarding the star dew grass.
Copperfield also didn't expect to meet a member of the Cavendish Family here. Looking at Clyde who was still standing in the tavern, his face still seemed to have some traces of anger.
Clyde calmed down the unwillingness in his heart. After all, the strength behind the nobles of the world was formidable, and all sorts of forces were intertwined. It wasn't something a small mercenary group like him could provoke.
Seeing Copperfield come, Clyde instantly returned to his usual heroic smile.
As if nothing had happened, he smiled at Copperfield.
"Little brother Phil, what's the matter?"
"I want to ask Leader Clyde, do you know where the Star Dew Grass grows in the outskirts of the Magical Beasts Mountain Range?"
Copperfield said faintly.
"Star Dew Grass? isn't that a herb that only a one-star soul master would need?"
"Little brother Phil, you can't be..."
Clyde looked at the black-robed youth in front of him with a face full of shock.
"My current soul power is indeed at that of a one-star high-tier."
Hearing Copperfield's reply, Clyde's heart trembled violently. At this moment, the fluctuations in his heart that had been belittled by Cavendish this morning were insignificant.
"You're a one-star?"
Before this, Clyde had always thought that Copperfield's soul power was close to that of a two-star mid-tier. It was only due to his extraordinary talent that he had displayed such powerful strength. However, after he had obtained the truth, he felt a strong sense of disbelief.
He racked his brains, but he still couldn't think of how a one-star soul master could have such a terrifying aura. When he first met Copperfield last night, Copperfield's body seemed to have returned from hell with a strong aura of death, it was still flashing in Clyde's mind.
Clyde shook his head under Copperfield's somewhat puzzled gaze before he spoke awkwardly.

"I'm sorry, Little brother Phil. I was daydreaming about the Star Dew Grass."
"After all, the Star Dew Grass is a rare treasure in the eyes of our mercenary group."
"Coincidentally, I know the location of one of the grasses. It's located at the outskirts of the Crobal Mountains, near the Thunder Bluff."
"And our purpose for this trip is precisely the Thunder Bluff. When we discovered that Star Dew Grass, it hadn't matured yet, but it should be about time it matured now."
Copperfield nodded. He took out a Tier 2 magic crystal from his soul ring, which he had obtained from slaying the snake-shaped magical beast, and spoke indifferently.
"I need that Star Dew Grass. I don't need anything else from this trip. In addition to the Tier 2 magic crystal in my hand, it should be about time we set off."
Clyde was in a bit of a dilemma. It wasn't that Copperfield had given him too little, but that the value of Star Dew Grass really wasn't that high. The Magic Crystal of a Tier 2 magical beast, especially the one Copperfield had taken out, was obviously taken out from the body of a magical beast not too long ago, the soul power contained within was extremely abundant and of high quality.
However, Clyde was helpless against Copperfield, so he bitterly smiled and accepted it.
To Copperfield, it was nothing more than taking what he needed. He didn't like to owe others, that was all.
...
In the afternoon, after the interlude, the members of the giant dragon mercenary group finally embarked on their journey into the Crobal Mountain Range.
Everything was quiet outside the Crobal Mountains, but not long after the team entered the mountains, a small-scale monster attack fell on the dragon mercenary group.
The attackers were three tier 2 magical beasts, the Green Leaf Snake. This kind of magical beast was not common in the outer regions of the crobal mountains. Although the level of the magical beast was not high, the sharp teeth of this magical beast contained a lethal poison. This kind of lethal poison could be deadly even to an ordinary tier 3 magical beast.

It was also because of this that most of the Green Leaf Snakes preferred to stay in the dense forest deeper in the Crobal Mountains. The energy in the body of a high-level magic beast was more attractive to this kind of poison.
If the poisoned person did not receive treatment within half a day, the lethal poison would enter the heart meridian along with the flow of the blood, which will cause death.
The three Green Leaf Snakes hung on the tree trunk. The green protective color on their bodies perfectly fused their bodies with the branches and leaves of the trees. When the main group had already walked forward, they suddenly attacked the mercenary group members who were close to the back. Like three green lightning bolts, they shot toward the mercenary group members under the tree.
Very easily, the venom from the sharp teeth was injected into the bodies of the three mercenaries. Instantly, the three pale-faced strong men fell to the ground.
Faced with an attack, the members of the dragon mercenary group immediately attacked in anger. As expected, the three snakes were quickly beaten to death by the group.
This made the members of the dragon mercenary group, who were preparing to go deep into the Thunder Cliff, even more cautious.
After the three snakes died, the team's pharmacist quickly helped the three poisoned members treat their wounds and expel the poison from their bodies. Only then did the three of them turn the situation around and save their lives.
The only thing that made the members of the mercenary group feel regretful was that the Green Leaf Snakes were different from most magical beasts, the energy in their bodies was more used for producing lethal poison than for their own cultivation. This was also the reason why these snakes could only be classified as tier 2 magical beasts.
Because of this, the mercenary group did not obtain soul crystals from the bodies of the three snakes.
Although they felt regretful, they could not do anything about it. This kind of thing was not uncommon in the mercenary life. Under the sneak attack of the three tier 2 magical beasts, it was already fortunate that no one was injured or killed.
As the group of people walked towards the Thunder Cliff in a grandiose manner, there were quite a number of ignorant tier 1 magical beasts that showed up to die along the way. This was normal for the outer regions of the crobal mountains. Magical Beasts that were tier 2 and above, under normal circumstances, would not move around in the outer regions.
Perhaps it was because the journey was too long, some of the members of the dragon mercenary group began to chat casually.
"Did you see that new black-robed youth make a move?"
"Could he really be a relative of the leader and ran into our mercenary group?"
"You can shut up. When the leader hears what you said later, he will definitely have a 'daily training' with you."
When he heard his friend mention 'daily training', the mercenary's face could not help but flash with a trace of fear. After his leader made mistakes, he would rarely be like most mercenary groups, cutting the rewards of young members to punish the members, instead, he would 'amicably'carry out 'daily training'with this member.
He did not know about the others, but he only knew that after he participated in the 'daily training' the last time, all his strength was drained. He only managed to recover after resting in the base for an entire day.
"Moreover, the leader said that they are here to help us hunt the Berserk Thunder Bear. We can deal with these small fries."
Copperfield, whose soul power was different from ordinary people, could naturally hear the mercenaries' discussions about him, but he did not care about them.
His goal was only to find the Star Dew Grass and officially achieve the power of a two-star soul master.

Re:Hammer
Your average Reborn Game System story, similar to The Gamer and Solo Leveling. Written for fun rather than novilization like the others, so it is smaller and less intense. It is set in an AU Warhammer (based on a slightly modified version of Warhammer Fantasy's End Times. (Modified because the real setting was a catastrophe. There will be no exploding moons or beating the God Of Indulgence because they overindulged, and no Slaans fucking off to space. People shall use their brains and not just "lol cuz I can" bs like Todbringer thinking the end of the fucking world was the best time to go persue you interracial Yaoi rivalry with a Beastlord). So you might notice names and events but don't expect it all to go the same way. And the Main Character is not the only Player in this game~ Sequel found here. https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/26444/rehammer-the-hammering

The Eternal Vigil
The year is 2220, a time when governments and nation-states are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Instead, all prominent parts of human society are now organizing around the commands of three great Artificial Intelligences, owned and operated by the world's largest corporation. World peace has been achieved, and the very word 'politics' has disappeared from people's lips. Religion has largely disappeared, replaced in some parts by worshipping of the great AIs, but mostly substituted by a devotion to material goods and faith in the market. There is now a general consensus that the best form of government has been found. No, it is not democracy, nor is it autocracy or oligarchy. Instead, it is technocracy - rule by the learned, the intelligent, and the skilled. And who are more learned, intelligent, and skilled than the great AIs? Exactly, no one. The AIs will correct some market failures once in a while, but shall otherwise let the market be free. After all, the freer the market, the freer the people. Some may question how society advanced to this stage, but that is all they will do - question. Because they will not find answers, for history is no longer taught anywhere. After all, it is not a practical subject. One cannot get a decently paying job with a history degree. Society doesn't have any time for people to idly ponder about the past. No, this is a practical society of practical people: engineers, doctors, lawyers, developers, managers, bankers, soldiers, and the such. My name is Aiden Scivit and I used to be one such practical man: minding my own business, doing my job, with the faith that hard work will always be rewarded by the market...and that politics and philosophy were things thought of by idly people who leech off society. But this all changed, and here is my story, my history. Just because the stories of ages long past have been erased, does not mean that a brand new beginning cannot be created. The story is already finished but I still need to do some editing so a chapter should be released each day for a month. It is a bit political, as you can probably tell by the introduction, so there is that (it will low-key read like a philosophy dump 10% of the time, so really it's like Atlas Shrugged but liberal and worse lol). Also, I actually wrote this in grade 10 as part of my MYP Personal Project, and recently touched up on it for online publication. Finally, if you find the writing style passable and are interested in my other works, check out the one in the link below. It is a fantasy set in the Ancient Greek world, and is completed and uploaded in full: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/35099/the-oresteia-modernized
