Soul Weapon Awakening, My Weapon Is A Harmonica Chapter 6

At this moment.
After hearing Copperfield's answer, Rose, who was standing beside the awakening platform, couldn't contain her anger when she heard this. She was filled with hatred.
"This person is actually so selfish. At a time when the country needs all the manpower it can get, he actually wants to cower and hide?"
When she thought of this, the disdain in Rose's eyes became even more intense.
Everyone present looked at Copperfield with eyes filled with anger and fury!
"Coward!"
"Did you really follow in your father's footsteps, running away when your country needs you?"
All of this was recorded by the mage apprentices using magical memory spheres and was being broadcast in the major cities of the country!
Because of Copperfield's speech, all the magical spheres were immediately focused on the small town in a remote corner.
As Copperfield's voice fell on the screen.
A wave of shock was instantly stirred up among the people.
"Refusing to join the army? Do you know what this war means for everyone? Don't these people have any sense of righteousness in their hearts?"
"I seem to remember now, this person is the descendant of the general who caused the fall of Titan's capital city, Titan City, three years ago!"
"Like father, like son! How can there be such a selfish person in this world!"
"My father once participated in the war with the magical beasts, and in the end, unfortunately, he became disabled. Now that the country has enlisted, he only wishes he could not be on the battlefield!"
Waves of public opinion exploded in the city-states across the country.
In the midst of the crowd's anger, the public opinion instantly shifted to the side that was disadvantageous to Copperfield.
"How can there be a place to settle down in a bloody battle? This young man will definitely regret his cowardly actions today!"
Even some of the ordinary civilians who vaguely knew the truth of the past but were unable to speak up for Copperfield's father could not help but reveal disappointment in their eyes at this moment.

"In the end, he still cowered? I still thought that he would be able to gallop on the battlefield and rack up several battle achievements, and in the end, wash away the injustice for his father..."
"The once brilliant successor of the Russell Family in Titan City has fallen..."
And the current Copperfield was staring at the general in front of him.
The two of them did not say a word.
In the end, Copperfield endured the ear-piercing curses by his side and sighed in disappointment. He turned around and left without turning his head back.
This kind of departure was difficult. It was not just the huge pressure that had to be borne in his heart.
At the same time, it also meant that Copperfield had chosen an even more difficult and thorny path.
Seeing this scene, Dipsy, who was in the stands, was overjoyed.
"This kid actually dared to refuse to join the army?"
"This time, no matter how powerful that old man Terrence is, he won't be able to protect this survivor in the midst of this public outrage!"
Thinking of this, the knot in Dipsy's eyes dispersed. He stood up and was in a great mood. Not only did he capture the bloodline descendant of the suspected leader of the resistance, the wielder of the Scythe of Death, but.., Copperfield, who hadn't known how to strike, had actually taken the initiative to reveal a flaw in himself.
Dipsy waved his hand and looked at his confidant beside him.
"Give the orders. First, get all the footage Copperfield recorded in the square, and then find the soul master who can modify the footage. I don't need to tell you the rest, right?"
The confidant beside Dipsy nodded in agreement and quickly walked towards the family.
At this moment, Copperfield did not understand the conspiracy that had been launched against him.
In less than two hours.
In the various city-states of Titan, some videos of the young man who had refused to join the army were once again circulated.

Copperfield in the images was roaring furiously in the sky. While everyone was expressing their strong desire to join the army, the young man's face was nervous, as if he was filled with fear towards the battle at the front line. Beads of sweat dripped down his cheeks non-stop, his hands and feet were trembling uncontrollably. All the scenes were highlighting the cowardice of the young man.
The scene changed. It was about before Copperfield entered the square, he looked longingly at the statue of Eden Cavendish. It was as if he was filled with admiration for the heroic family that saved Titan City back then.
Then, on the awakening platform, when the harmonica soul was awakened, Copperfield's face was filled with disbelief. Then, he was in a daze. He perfectly displayed the appearance of a down and out young master who could only rely on his father, with no ambition himself at all.
...
There were many videos like this that were edited by the Cavendish family.
In the various city-states, there were even many soul masters that the Cavendish family had bribed. They disguised their identities and blended into the commoners. With the images in front of them, they evaluated Copperfield, guiding the resentment of the commoners around them.
"As expected, he's a useless rich young master, only able to use his father's identity to intimidate others when his father was still in power."
"I heard that when Titan City was still in existence, he often used his father's rank as a general to bully the commoners and commit all kinds of evil."
"What can he do even if he's forced to join the army? Drag his companions down? Do they still expect such a coward to fight against the Magical Beasts?"
"If such a coward is my teammate in the fight against Magical Beasts, I'm afraid I won't be able to return from the battlefield."
"Don't let me meet him in the town. Otherwise, I'll fight against the scum of this country every time I see him!"
Such words were quickly spread throughout the city-states.
Copperfield's name was also thoroughly branded with a bad name that was difficult to wash away.
Countless commoners were cursing Copperfield while watching the video.
Copperfield was probably unable to show his face in any of the towns. Otherwise, it wouldn't be too much to say that everyone was shouting at him.
Eden sat within his clan, listening to his eldest son Dipsy's report with satisfaction.
"This time, the Russell Family is completely finished."
"And us Cavendish Family didn't even pay the price of a single soldier. Hahaha."
Eden could be said to be elated. The haze that had been placed on him by Patriarch Russell time and time again had been swept away. He was extremely satisfied with his eldest son Dipsy's actions this time.
At this moment, Rose, who was standing in the Clan Hall, was looking at a magic ball that was playing Copperfield's image after being edited.
Rose frowned. She didn't understand why her brother would attack a sinner's descendant who had awakened a useless soul. In fact, this method of sabotaging him seemed a little despicable in Rose's heart.
But soon, Rose's thoughts were pulled away by the guards' shouts.
"Miss, the Young Patriarch has ordered the commander of the Resistance Army of the World's descendant to be sent to the capital. You will be in charge of this operation."
Rose nodded and walked towards the convoy that was escorting the prisoners.

Adagio of the Enlightened
The Elders will tell you the stories and lore. Of our ancestors, their deeds, and of the foes of yore. They will praise to you the chariot, and how it flew to the stars. How it stole the sun's light and slew the night’s roar. The Shamans will tell you the tales of their wisdom. Their wars on schism, and the unlettered world of ours before. Perhaps they will sing you the songs of what our clans' ancient customs tore. Poems of how our ancestors took what the discs had offered them, the manna and the mundane, and made it more. The kings will tell you of the follies, the sins, and the anecdotes of all our ancestors' wrongs. They will curse to you their names, the Ender of Fate and the Ruined Song. How they had dug up the hearts of the discs, euchred its relics, and blasphemed its prophecies, with oracles withdrawn. But they will only tell you the legends, recount the myths, and sing the allegories washed ashore. The Elders, the Shamans, and the kings can only retell what the storytellers of their own time had voiced. What they have read in books or heard in the minstrels' songs they adore. They don't know what really happened. They were never there. They can't tell you how our ancestors slew the angels from the sky, and sent them back to where they belonged. How they poisoned our minds, and made our people slothful and feeble, with the reforms they had undergone. But I can.I can tell you how the Ender of Fate severed destiny's strings, weakened them, and weaved them to our feeble flesh and souls.I can tell you how the Ruined song razed the heavens with her blood-stained melody, and reshaped our hell into utopia, with the deaths she deplored.Because I was there. I can tell you the truth, with my virtue strong. ----> Disclaimer: This will be a slow-burn, character-driven, non-harem, slice-of-life web novel with cultivation and kingdom-building elements. Real science is done on the edge of knowledge. If done correctly, you really are not certain of the outcomes. If done incorrectly, people can get hurt. This is the story of a researcher tossed across reality. Current update schedule is entirely sporadic, but I do commit to not dropping the story. I'm aiming for 1 small chapter a month at the moment.

Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!
