Suddenly, I Can Duplicate Money Chapter 9

"Hello?"
Yun Hao has been staring at the hand being offered to him for a few seconds now, or more specifically, he was looking at the white band tied on the woman's left arm.
"...Hello?" The woman started to blink her eyes a couple of times as she looked at Yun Hao's classmates as if she was asking what was wrong with him. And without even a slight pause, one of Yun Hao's classmates answered.
"Ah! Don't mind him," he said, "We just tagged him along because he looked hungry, don't bother with him. It was only us five you girls were talking with."
The one sitting behind Yun Hao, Yin Fen, was initially a bit perplexed that one of the girls chose to sit in front of Yun Hao instead of one of them. He thought that the most beautiful one in the group was walking to the seat in front of him, but alas, she was walking to Yun Hao's.
"He is our classmate, you see. But he is poor." Yin Fen said, casually waving his hand as if it wasn't a big deal, "It's charity, charity. We have a lot of money to spare, we can even buy this restaurant, so it's not a big deal."
"I… I see," the female cultivator awkwardly bowed towards Yun Hao as she stood up from her seat, slightly pushing and scooching behind her friend who was sitting beside her. Of course, she still took one final glance towards Yun Hao, who seemed to no longer be looking at her.
She approached Yun Hao because she thought that out of all the boys that they were meeting today, Yun Hao looked like her match. He looked like the brooding type, not to mention his muscles felt like they were shouting that he trains hard every single day. And it didn't hurt that he was also the best-looking of the group.
As a newly awakened Cultivator, the boys at her school had started avoiding her, in fear of being squashed. But it was different with Yun Hao-- but once again, her hopes were crushed as Yun Hao was not part of the mixer today.

With the thoughts of a girl going through the hormonal thoughts of adulthood targeting Yun Hao. The said target seemed to be completely oblivious of the looks that were being given to him. As soon as Yun Hao saw the white armband, the huge scar hidden by his hair instantly throbbed.
Is it fear? Yun Hao thought. Has he developed a fear for Cultivators? Or was it rage?
No. If there was an object for his rage, it would be his best friend, Long Yazhu, as well as Angela.
Perhaps it would be wise for him to become a Cultivator as soon as possible. This world was just one colossal boxing ring…
...and he didn't fear anyone in the ring. Fighting was all he has ever known, and doing that in the real world as a puny human would just lead to him making a fool of himself. With Cultivators roaming around, he can never win again.
Yun Hao let out a long and deep breath as he shook his head. It was truly decided then… He would be walking in the Path of the Dao.
He will--
"..."
Yun Hao's thoughts of glory were then disrupted by the sound of spoons clanging beside him. He turned his head to the side, only to see their part of the table already filled with food. They were already merrily eating and talking with each other.
Seriously? Yun Hao thought. Is this what his classmate whispered to the waiter before the girls arrived? Not to serve him any food on his part of the table?
And he was right. Yun Hao could hear his classmates trying to hold their breaths as they take side glances towards him. He already knew his classmates would find a way to bully him one way or another, but this is just creative, he thought.
If it was the him of yesterday, then maybe he would have already attempted to murder these little young masters. But alas, he was a rich man now. Rich people should not be so petty, he thought, shaking his head and letting out a light sigh before raising his hand to call for a waiter.

"..."
"Pft."
15 seconds. That is how long Yun Hao's hand has been raised, and yet none of the waiters even bother approaching him. Some were even blatantly walking behind him as if he didn't exist at all. The only waiter that was respectful to Yun Hao was nowhere to be seen as well.
Yun Hao's eyes started to twitch as his breath started to get heavy.
'Okay,' he thought. Maybe he wasn't as calm as he thought he was. His hands, which had not hit anyone since last night, were starting to itch. But before his hands could have a mind of their own, the female cultivator that was in front of her earlier raised her hand.
As soon as she did so, one of the waiters that had been completely ignoring Yun Hao quickly rushed towards her.
"Yes, master?" The waiter said, his tone filled with respect as he bowed towards the female Cultivator.
"Give him a menu."
"...Eh?"
"Give him a menu," the female cultivator repeated, her tone becoming colder the second time, "Now."
"A... at once!" The waiter was at a loss as to what to do first as he looked at Yin Fen. But since it was between him and a cultivator, the waiter quickly made his choice to go and fetch the menu.
But before he could walk away, he felt a slight pain on his wrist. He quickly looked back, only to see the young man he was refusing to serve grabbing his wrist.
"There's no need for a menu," Yun Hao said as he shook his head, "I will order everything in it."
"S… sir?"
"I will order two of everything on the menu," a small smile slowly crept on his face as he let go of the waiter's hand, "I am a bit hungry. And since my benevolent classmates are kind enough to offer me charity, I would not let this chance pass by. Please."
"O… okay!" The waiter left in a panic as he felt his wrist still throbbed from the pain, not even waiting for Yin Fen to stop him.
"S… shameless!" Yin Fen quickly stood up, "Yun Hao. You are shame--"
"It's fine, friend," Yun Hao once again let out a sigh, "You said you can buy this restaurant anyway, why not pay for everyone's meals while you're at it?"
"What!? What the fuck does it have to do with--"
"Amazing!"
Before Yin Fen could even finish his words, the people that have been closely watching their table for any upcoming drama started to clap their hands.
"Thank you for treating us to our meal, young man."
"You're really great!"
"Did you hear that everyone? This young master here is treating us all!"
"W… well, okay then?" Yin Fen could only sit back down as his pleas were drowned by his ego. With all the people looking at him with awe and adoration, he just bowed his head, smiling at the people that were cheering for him.
Yun Hao, on the other hand, was laughing menacingly in his mind. This would surely cause him trouble in the future… but since he had money now, he was sure he could solve it somehow. He would just bask in the glory on his way to sweet victory today.
For once, he was winning against his classmates.
"..." The female cultivator could not help but squint her eyes as she looked at Yun Hao, who was obviously trying to hold his laughter.
'Maybe… this man is evil?' She thought.
Yun Hao then noticed that the female cultivator was looking at her, and without meaning to, perhaps due to his internal happiness…
...he winked at her.

Wander West, in Shadow
BOOK 1 COMPLETED A young wizard journeys west, through dark forests and dangerous lands, searching for something. Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.
