Global Online Survival Chapter 9

'Spirit seed?'
Ye Jun looked at the object in his hand curiously.
It was a miniature version of an octopus; only the size of a fingernail cap, twelve tentacles, dark green all over, which pulsated like a living thing in Ye Jun's palm.
"Spirit seed: a product developed by the multi-brain tribe of the planet Bejamal for the treatment of schizophrenia. Usage: placing the Spirit Seed on top of other objects can enable you to experience stimulations from a different body!"
This thing is kind of like the clones in cultivation novels, huh?
Ye Jun hefted the small octopus and swept his gaze around the raft.
Other than grilled fish, there's a hammer. Should I put it on a grilled fish? It's all cooked up and can't swim anymore!
Possess the hammer? The heck would that feel like.
Ye Jun's gaze finally landed on the slender torso at the prow of the ship.
This thing…
Human-looking…
It should move about as well as a real person…
What else is more suitable than this thing to be a clone?
But, this thing looks like a woman…
Ye Jun subconsciously glanced around. There wasn't anyone else at sea anyway.
Then, he flicked his fingers and the small dark green octopus drew an arc and landed on the silicone doll.
The little octopus instantly turned into a green light and merged into the doll's body.
In the next second, Ye Jun's head was slightly dizzy; he then saw himself sitting across from him, staring back with a blank expression.
'It worked!'
His body was right in front of him, directly in front of him.
He had just turned into a silicone doll!
Ye Jun shook his head, coming back to his senses, returning to his body once more.
The feeling of being able to see oneself was too weird!
With a thought, Ye Jun controlled the doll and made it stand up.
The doll—which looked a bit like a certain beautiful female celebrity—stood up with lifelike motions and stretched itself at the prow of the ship.

Following Ye Jun's thoughts, it spun three circles left and three circles right…
As expected of premium goods, it was human-like; it would almost be like a real person if it wore clothes and was controlled by Ye Jun. Billions of geeks would buy realistic humanoid robots if they could do that, even if they spent their family fortune.
It's really just…
It's so seductive…
"Ahem…"
Sidetracked!
Ye Jun controlled the doll and jumped into the sea.
Like a dolphin, it moved smoothly in the water.
The doll was inanimate and swam in the water anyway it wanted, without restriction or pressure.
Ye Jun controlled the doll to swim further down and explore.
He wanted to see how deep it was.
The ocean represented vastness and grandeur to humans; it was synonymous with mystery.
Even though Bluestar's technology had advanced to the point where they could explore space, they were still unable to see the entire ocean.
The sea was infinite and the depth was terrifying!
Ye Jun controlled the doll to go down as if he were constantly diving, and even though he didn't need to breathe, the light continued to dim as the seawater squeezed around him, still afflicting him with heavy oppression that made it hard to breathe.
It was mostly dark underwater when he was a few dozen meters deep.
Ye Jun dived down hundreds of meters in one go and finally touched land.
It was a good thing the doll was solid. It would have been crushed if it were inflatable.
The immense pressure of the sea made it hard for light to reach those depths; the place was pitch black all around.
Ye Jun fumbled around on the ground for a while, feeling a few shells and coming across a few fish, but it was impossible to see what was around him and what the environment had to offer.
Looks like it's time to head back and find something that glows before coming down again.

Ye Jun was about to rise to the surface when suddenly, a silver light illuminated the underwater world.
The surroundings appeared before his eyes.
The rugged seabed was covered with dark green moss-like algae and some strange-looking shrubs.
Now and then, colorful, oddly shaped fish wove their way through the shrubbery.
That was the deep sea world. No matter the plants or the animals, none of them looked normal; all were oddly shaped.
Ye Jun then saw clearly where the light source was.
He froze at once!
There was a giant electric ray ten meters or so ahead.
An ordinary electric ray with one or two meters would be the top, but this one was at least seven meters long.
Electric currents were pulsing in arcs on the back of the electric ray; it was a silvery glow that illuminated the underwater world.
That giant sea creature was also looking at Ye Jun with the same frozen gaze he had.
It seemed to be wondering why Ye Jun hadn't been knocked down by its electric current when even a shark would twitch if it met the electric ray.
It seemed that its intelligence wasn't enough to wrap around the fact that silicone was an insulator.
Sensing a threat, the electric ray charged over again.
Zizzi…
All the fish within twenty meters of the surrounding area belly-flopped in an instant and sank to the bottom.
Ye Jun also felt a jolt of fear.
Even though silicone was said to be an insulator and it wasn't his actual body, it would be an absolute lie to say he wasn't scared at the sight of the brightly pulsing arcs of electricity.
Ye Jun forced down the fear in his heart and fiercely grabbed the electric ray's tail with both hands!
Zizzi…
The startled electric ray twisted frantically, trying to throw off the enemy on top of him; the electric discharges flashed with a surprising crackling sound.
Ye Jun held the electric ray in a death grip.
He could have let go of a wild monster that big.
Besides, it was just a clone, let alone an insulated one.
The creature obviously didn't expect that there would be enemies unfazed by electricity in that world.
Even great white sharks would try to flee whenever they saw it.
The electric ray was provoked into attacking with electric discharges even more wildly.
The powerful current left several charcoal black spots on the doll's body.
Luckily, the fight was happening underwater; otherwise, that clone might have actually been burned off.
The electric ray stopped moving after a while.
Using up all of its electricity also took away its strength; the creature lay on the bottom of the ocean, motionless.
Ye Jun estimated that the sea giant would only last five minutes at most on a two-hour charge.
It was useless without electricity.
Filled with joy, Ye Jun tugged the electric ray's tail with one hand and controlled it to float upwards.
He knocked the animal a few times to make sure it was out cold as he made his way over to the surface. He then safely hauled it over to the raft.
He then ended the ray's life with a few hammer blows.
"Killed sea monster, electric ray boss (level 5). First player to kill a monster boss, reward +10 Lightning Affinity, +1 Level, +50 Strength, +10 Speed, +10 Endurance. Would you like to announce this?
"Announcement!"
An announcement floated through the world channel: player Ye Jun (death mode) has successfully killed the sea monster electric ray boss (level 5), becoming the first player to kill a monster boss, reward +10 Lightning Affinity, +1 Level, +50 Strength, +10 Speed, +10 Endurance.
The world was instantly in an uproar!
I'm still fu**ing starving, and you're already killing bosses?
Are we still playing the same game?
