The Adventures Of The Young Master Chapter 330

"Are you ready to die?" The ancestor wanted to end this as soon as possible and said, "Let's not waste our time and just let me kill you."
"…" First Cloud's face turned deadly white. She looked at her comrades, and all of them were looking at her, as if asking what should they do. Then, she used all the strength left in her body and release a giant and thick yellow barrier that covered her and the group.
This was a last ditch effort of First Cloud. For now, she was planning and thinking all the possible ideas to flee from this monster. She needed to think fast or else it would be them who'll die here without a burial.
Retreating for now was the best decision. After all, they didn't expect a variable of this level! Perhaps, she had been too careless and all.
"Do you think it'll be enough to protect you?" The ancestor laughed and released a sword arc from the sword she was holding, "Or you're thinking of buying time to run? Either way, you have no choice but to stay here until I take all your lives."
"Boom!" The sword arc vibrated and shook the barrier First Cloud created. Then, it revealed vague and small cracks.
"Cracked at the first hit..." First Cloud couldn't believe it. This ancestor was way too strong for them to take on!
"Boom!" Then, First Cloud was thrown away like a kite without a string down to the ground in a violent manner.
"Time to kill you four, first." Seeing that First Cloud was helpless on the ground, the ancestor looked at the scared other clouds and said.
"Run!" Third Cloud knew that a deadly strike was about to come. Thus, he ordered everyone to flee as soon and fast as possible.

Then, millions of sword arcs appeared out of the void and slashed their ways to the other clouds.
"No!" The scared clouds shouted and activated all their defensive treasures. They had no time to flee thus this was the second possible choice. Only, their survival wasn't sure.
However, the expected death of the clouds didn't come as the sword arcs suddenly stopped from its track and froze. Soon, they disappeared like they were not there to begin with.
The clouds were confused what's happening. Thus they turned their heads to find clues.
"Finally, you have come out. I thought I need to slay everyof your child just to make you come out." The ancestor smirked.
"Fellow Daoist, you have crossed the line there. That's why I came out." Then, an old man appeared out of the void. He appeared normal with his shoulder-long white hair. He was releasing an aura that was capable of deterring every beings of this world, "You are bullying my children, Fellow Daoist."
"Master!" The clouds were instantly overjoyed when they saw this man appeared. Their nerves relaxed finally as they stood to his side.
"Don't worry, my children. I'll take care of this for you." The old man nodded and comforted them.
"I crossed the line?" Reverend Ancestor sneered and said, "Look who's talking. You are the one who ordered your kids to attack my academy, knowing that it didn't do anything wrong to you. So who crossed the line here?"
"We have asked for the item nicely. And that's what can we do the most." The old man coldly said, "Fellow Daoist, the item we are asking is an item that should be kept in the long darkness. Should it see the light once again, you don't know what will happen."

"That's true, the item should be kept in yhe darkness. That's why we are doing it right now." The ancestor answered.
"No, that isn't enough, Reverend." The old man shook his head and said, "There's a high chance that the item will see the light in your academy. So, getting it from you and keep it in your stead is the best idea. Let's not get this further, our children have already suffered. I am just asking for that item, and we will immediately leave and no longer bother your academy."
"Keep dreaming." The ancestor snorted and said, "The item has been tasked by Chaos Origin to be taken care of by the academy. You have no say here."
"Chaos Origin was too careless for someone who reached the very most peak of this world." The old man shook his head and sighed, "Very well, if we can't ask you that nicely, then we have to take it by force. The fate of the world relies on this, so I can't just let you take care of it. With the weakened power of the academy, I know that you'll not even stand a day when that item rampages."
"So much blabbering. Fight if you must." The ancestor spoke in a cold tone and gripped her glass sword revealing another batch of millions of sword arcs.
---
"What item are they talking about, Master?" In the spectators side, many people heard this and the youth were very curious about this item that they were battling for.
"It is an item that said to be suppressed by Chaos Origin in the past. That item is very sinister and he needed to use all his strength just to seal it. He also tasked Reverend and several ancestors of the academy not to ever touch this item and don't let it get to a light. Furthermore, there are circulating rumors that the disappearance of Chaos Origin Progenitor has something to do with that item." His master answered with a serious tone.
The disappearance of the progenitor had created a hot debate between people. Some were saying that he died from old age, and some were saying that it was because of the item and several thought that he was just hiding and reclusive because of and tribulation.
Either ways, the progenitor didn't appear in the public for millions of years now.
The student couldn't help but gulp a mouthful of his saliva. This information were too much to take and he needed to digest it slowly. Then, he realized that the cultivation world was more cruel than he thought.

Sturmblitz Kunst: Becoming a Dissident for Martial Arts
"I don't care what you read in some old, dusty tome. You can spend decades chasing an outmoded cultivation method that'll probably lead to a faux-breakthrough trap from the Emperor that turns you into a walking impurity tumor, or you can give me a couple months and I'll teach you how to punch through someone's head." - Zelsys "Sevenfold Storm-conqueror" Newman, Founder of the Newman Family The world at large has just begun its recovery from the nigh-apocalyptic War of Fog. Catastrophic environmental damage and gaping power vacuums stir the cogs of history into motion in the absence of open war, eternally greased by the blood and sweat of ambition. A small duchy in the North of the country now stands at the precipice of upheaval as the burgeoning powers of the new era clash within its borders... Meanwhile, as the survivor of a now-extinct cultivator family struggles for survival in a world that cares not about his social status, the very embodiment of his escapist coping mechanisms forces him to pursue the fantasies of self-determination he had never dared act upon.

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
