Necromancer: Divine-Level Summoning Chapter 38

"The source of that aura should be around here!"
Keaton had long sensed the rich dark elemental power. Although he was not a bona fide Dark Elemental Magus, he was after all still a Necromancer.
To a large extent, Necromancy and Dark Magic were just two sides of the coin.
As a Necromancer, Keaton could naturally sense what a Dark Elemental Magus could.
"There might be something good there. I've discovered a pattern. The richer the dark elements around a region are, the greater the possibility of producing some advanced magic materials!"
Hurley's eyes lit up when she heard the words. This trip had brought her too many benefits, and she was unwilling to leave such a treasure land so easily.
"Then let's hurry over. If we delay any longer, there will be more changes!"
Although she was normally very timid, under the temptation of rare magic materials, she still gathered her courage and expressed that she was willing to follow and search those precious herbs with Keaton.
Keaton nodded. During this period of time, he had unknowingly become the leader of the trio.
Although there was no nominal acknowledgment, in reality, Keaton's current opinions could already determine the direction of the entire group.
As such, the three of them headed towards the source of the dark element aura.
The aura that existed here was actually very different from what a pure dark element aura would be like.
This dark aura was also suffused with many other elemental powers that were within the region. This was also the reason why the denser the dark aura, the more spirit medicines would be born!
If one wanted to accurately describe this dark aura, it would be more appropriate to use the term chaotic aura to describe it.
Feeling this extremely concentrated chaotic aura, the three of them felt a chill all over their bodies. It was as if there was a huge piece of ancient ice placed in front of them!

However, this chill was different from the pure cold. This chill could penetrate a person's body and directly affect one's soul.
Before long, they arrived at a dark pool.
This pool of water was so dark that it was like the endless night sky, incomparably deep and lofty.
However, as the pool was located on the ground, looking at it gave people the opposite effect instead.
One would instead have an instinctive sense of fear as though they were looking down at the abyss!
"Have you heard of this saying? When you look into the abyss, the abyss is also staring at you!"
Keaton slowly turned his head and looked at the two girls beside him with a strange expression.
Being teased by Kedan, Samira immediately retreated a few steps backwards.
Even so, she covered her mouth with her hands, determined not to make a sound!
Hurley was also shocked by Keaton's words, but after thinking for a while, she understood the meaning behind the words.
Keaton was giving them a warning. At this moment, they had already entered the center of the Fallen Sky Lake region and arrived at the treacherous Smokefall Plains!
Perhaps something terrible would happen after that. With Keaton's scary words, they would be able to maintain a little clarity of mind in the face of what might happen next.
After a series of explanations, Hurley finally managed to persuade the poor frightened Samira to come back.
The three of them walked in a line towards the black pool staring into the deep lake water!
The water in the pool was dark, its depth unknown.
Small bubbles slowly floated up from the bottom of the pool, bringing with them a chaotic and foul aura.
With the continuous support of the chaotic energies provided by the Black Pool, the surrounding chaotic aura reached a peak.

It made Keaton and the other two feel a deep sense of fear.
On the other side of the Black Pool actually stood a black stone house, with its door tightly shut.
On the east side of the Black Pool, a cyan colored tree was growing diagonally. Among the branches of the tree, there were a few shiny black fruits that were hanging on it, emitting waves of the fragrance of a ripe fruit.
"F*ck! This is the legendary Elemental Spirit Fruit!"
Looking at these tempting fruits, Keaton and the other two opened their mouths wide in shock.
As everyone knew, the color black would be formed when all colors are mixed together.
[TL Note: I really had to search this to be sure, but it seems like if you mix the primary colors in a certain proportion you will get black.]
The same concept applied towards elemental power. When all the elements gathered together, the color that appeared was the black color that represented chaos!
"An Elemental Spirit Fruit can raise my Rank twice!"
Samira spoke out in shock. That's right, the effects of Elemental Spirit Fruits were just so violent and direct.
There was only one effect, and that was to allow the living beings who consumed this spirit fruit to obtain a vast amount of mana!
With their current Rank, if Samira were to eat this spirit fruit, she would instantly rise from a Rank 4 magus to a Rank 6 magus!
Furthermore, this was not all the energy the Elemental Spirit Fruit contained.
The fact that she could become a Rank 6 magus did not mean that the power of the Elemental Spirit Fruit was limited to that. In fact, the power contained within the fruit was sufficient to allow her to reach Rank 7 actually.
The reason why she could only reach Rank 6 was because her body could only absorb so much energy. A large portion of the Elemental Spirit Fruit's energy would be filtered away to protect her fragile body.
Thud thud thud!
Sarmila walked towards the Elemental Spiritual Fruit in a daze. However, at this moment, Keaton, who was standing behind her, rushed in front of her and pulled her back.
"Don't go over there. Since this thing is so precious, we're definitely not the first to discover it. Look at that stone house over there. It's obviously man-made."
The greed in her eyes disappeared upon hearing his words.
Keaton was right. How could there not be any defensive measures around such a heavenly treasure?
Since that house existed, it meant that someone must have found this spiritual object and built a house to guard it.
This also explained why Keaton and the others did not discover any demons once they had arrived at the Smokefall Plains!
This meant that the strength of the owner of this stone house was far beyond that of ordinary demons.
However, at this moment, Hurley, who had remained quiet the whole time, had already walked towards the cyan colored tree.
As Keaton was occupied with stopping Samira, before he could notice, Hurley had already reached in front of the fruit tree.
And just as Hurley reached for the Elemental Spirit Fruit….
A burst of aura that was powerful beyond imagination suddenly shot out from the stone house by the pool!

Between Worlds
(This is a reupload of Sexy Space Babes, as it's easier for me to reupload the series in a new format rather than go back and re-insert the old chapters that were taken down while the first book was on Kindle Unlimited.) Jason had thought about punching a Shil’vati. Who hadn’t? Not only had the aliens conquered Earth with almost trivial ease, the seven-foot purple amazons also had the audacity to start running the planet better than Humanity ever had. He'd never do it though. He was a reasonable guy, just trying to get by under his new feminine overlords. Wasn't he?

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
