Mr. CEO Sweet Lover: Little Bundle Of Joy Chapter 6

In the Wang's mansion.
A luxury car drove into the mansion and a man in gloves stepped forward respectfully and pulled the car door opened. Jingyi Wang stepped out of the car.
A butler came out to welcome them. "Young master, you are welcome back home" he bowed respectfully.
Jingyi Wang stopped in his tracks and turned when he noticed Xiao li was not with him.
Where did she go?
Taking a large strides, he walked towards the car and lean over only to see Xiao li still sitting in the car. Her face was gloomy and her lips compressed. Her eyes were bloodshot.
"Hey! Are you not going to get down?"
She did not respond. She seems to be absent-minded.
Jingyi Wang frowned, went around the back of the car to open the other door, and lifted her into his arms, then he carried her inside.
He put her down when they got inside. Xiao li gasped as she swept her gaze across the living room.
The living room is very large and it reminds her of a hotel foyer, not just in the space, but in the artwork too. The floor is polished concrete and the walls white. The walls leading up to the high ceiling decorated with a chandelier light.
At this moment, an elegant woman walked towards them.
She seems to be in her forties. She had a shapely figure and a glossy skin. Her pencil- thin eyebrows eased down gently to her black, beetle's leg eyelashes. She was wearing a white short gown and a brown heels. On her neck was a necklace with three rows of semi-precious stones interrupted in the middle by an open work flower in a gold circle.
Xiao li could not help, but gasp.
This woman is truly beautiful and who in the world would think that this is Jingyi Wang's mother. She looks younger than her age.
"Oh my! Who would have thought that my daughter-in-law would be this beautiful in person" Wang shu exclaimed as she walked towards them. "You are just so beautiful Xiao li" As she spoke, she gave Xiao li a very big hug.
Xiao li could feel the warmth when Wang shu hugged her.
"My daughter-in-law is so cute" she pulled away from Xiao li and cupped her face in her hand.
Daughter-in-law?
Xiao li was seething with anger.
How can she call her her daughter-in-law when she is not even married to her son?
Wang shu looked at the maid who came up to her from her side and handed over a constellation box, and Wang shu gave it to Xiao li.

Xiao li only looked at Wang shu and didn't collect it. She stared at Wang shu, blankly
As she was debating whether she should accept the gift or decline it, Jingyi Wang slipped his fingers into her hand which startled her. She lowered her eyes to look at his hand for a few seconds before raising her head to look at him.
She was fuming.
She was about to pulled her hand from his.
Just as she was about to pull her hand, he tightened his grip.
He nodded at the gift which was still on Wang shu's hand. Xiao li shifted her gaze towards the gift and took it.
Wang shu knew Xiao li was still mad because of what her son did and she was ready to apologize to her.
Just as Xiao li opened her mouth to talk, a deep, cold voice sounded from behind. "This is Xiao li? She is so beautiful"
The man was dressed in a blue shirt and a brown pant. The man looked seventy percent like Jingyi Wang except from his blue eyes which he got from his mother.
"She is just too beautiful, no wonder our son couldn't get his eyes off her" Wang Yong said half-jokingly, half-seriously.
Jingyi Wang was so proud that he got a beautiful wife. He laughed inwardly knowing that there would be so many men who would be envious of him.
Speaking of Xiao li's beauty, she is the most beautiful woman in G city. With or without makeup, she is still beautiful.
Xiao li once thought that her pretty face was a gift from God. Turns out it's a blessing and a curse.
Wang Yong walked over. "I'm so happy that I finally met you" he said, reaching into his pocket, he brought out a red pocket and shoved it into her hand. "My gift might be too small, but please accept it" he said with a sweet smile on his face.
Xiao li glanced down at the gifts in her hand. She wondered why his family are so nice while he is so grumpy and annoying.
Wang shu quickly stepped forward and pulled Xiao li away as she said, "Come. We prepared something for you"
As soon as those two left, Wang shu glared at his son. "You, do you know what you did? Anyways, I can't blame you. It's all my fault for forcing you to marry her"
---
There was an awkward silence in the dining room. Wang shu who has been staring at Xiao li who refused to eat the food they served her was thinking of what to say to break the silence.

She could feel the burning anger in Xiao li's eyes.
After a few seconds, Wang shu cleared her throat and said, "Xiao li, we are very sorry for what our son did. It's actually our fault. We wanted him to get married to you since you guys have slept together, but we never knew you were getting married. Please, do forgive us"
Xiao li did not respond.
She suddenly realized why they were so nice to her. It was because they knew that they were at fault and they wanted her to forgive them. No wonder, they didn't look so surprised when they saw her.
Thinking of this, Xiao li's eyes turned cold and dark.
Tears fell from her eyes when she suddenly remembered the way Liu wei looked at her and his words. Her heart clenched in anger.
If it wasn't for this man and his family, her wedding would not have been ruined.
She glared at them. "What can your sorry do now? Can it change what you have done?" she huffed.
Wang shu's heart ached when she saw her crying. She picked up a tissue paper and lean over the table to wipe Xiao li's tears, but Xiao li stopped her. "Don't! Do not pretend as if you all like me"
Wang shu's hand immediately stopped mid-air. She was stunned and retracted her hand.
Xiao li continued. "I don't even know who you are and why you are doing all of this. Your son ruined my day and made me look like trash to everyone. Do you know how disappointed my parents would be right now?" she said, still crying.
She wondered what kind of people they are. Although, they look so rich and she knows a poor person can't afford to live here, even to own these workers. They look so powerful.
Wang shu said in an unhappy voice. "Child, don't be mad at us. We know we can't change what has happened to you and nothing can change it, but I hope you can forgive us"
Xiao li looked at them. "What do you want?" She swept her gaze across the living room. "Why do you have to come and ruin my life. I know it was my fault for entering your son's room that night. I was just so stupid for drinking that night. I know I can't change all of that too, but why?..." she cried bitterly.
Will she continue to live with him? She doesn't feel any love towards this man and she can't live with someone she doesn't love.
Her heart still belongs to liu wei. He is the person she truly love and she was hoping that he can forgive her.
"I'm so sorry child that you have to face all of this-"
But before she could finish her statement, Xiao li got up from the chair and yelled, "I want to leave this place now! I can't live with people like you. You are all disgusting and evil. Most especially, your son. I can't believe you are both supporting him-"
"Enough!" said a cold voice which sent chills down her spine. She stopped talking immediately and was forced to sit down.
She pursed her lips, pushing the food in front of her aside angrily. She refused to eat
"It's better you eat. There are lot of food here. Eat as much as you can" said Jingyi Wang from the side.
Actually, Wang shu prepared a lot for her daughter-in-law. This was meant to be a welcoming party and also to apologize to her for what their son did.
After a few minutes, Jingyi Wang wiped his mouth with a napkin and stood up as he said, "Mom, dad, I will bring Xiao li to the room to change her dress" he put his hand under Xiao li's arm and pulled her into a standing position and walked her upstairs.
Wang shu sighed heavily as she watched them leave the dining room. She didn't blame Xiao li for getting mad at them and she was not even angry, because she knew that it's her fault.
She should have checked the information about Xiao li very well before trying to make her son take responsibility for what he did.
'Even if Jingyi Wang did not ruin her wedding, her wedding would still be ruined because as soon as Liu wei finds out that his bride had slept with another man, he would definitely cancel the wedding' Wang shu thought.
As soon as Jingyi Wang brought Xiao li to the room, he turned to close the door and said, "This would be our room for only tonight. I will tell the maids to get you a new dress and I'm sure you won't be comfortable in this wedding dress"
As soon as he turned to face her, a hand landed on his face forcefully which made his head turn to the right.

Beyond the Bridge
There are many worlds, many multiverses, and you can move between them via the Federation's Bridge network - magical gateways to other worlds. The world dubbed "C'thon" by its inhabitants - or Gamma-Theta-Nu-649, if you ask the Federation's bureaucracy - was deserted when the Federation found it. The "civilized" races had all died out centuries prior, and the wilderness had grown downright feral in their absence. Now, the lonely Federation outpost of Bridgetown is under constant threat from the hungry wildlife, malicious fey, territorial goblins, and wandering undead that surround it. The town's distance from the Federation's centers of power means that it gets precious few of the resources that it needs to stay safe and afloat. Enter the Guild of Adventurers, a plucky and disparate crew who do the Federation's dirty work in exchange for coin. One team, the first of many, crosses the Bridge to C'thon looking for fame, fortune, and (if they're lucky) the answer to a newly-discovered Prophecy. They'll get much more than they bargained for, although first they need to avoid being eaten by the local wildlife. Updates weekly on Wednesday. Chapters will be as long as they need to be for them to work, which means they can vary. If anything drops below 2500 words, I'll post an extra chapter if I have one ready. [PS: This is not a litRPG, but I do borrow heavily from TTRPGs for inspiration, and the general setting and storyline is from a TTRPG campaign I'm running.] [PPS: This is my first attempt at writing long-form fiction. I'm not trying to make a great piece of literature or have a multi-novel overarching plot, but hopefully it'll still be a fun story - let me know what you think in the comments.] [PPPS: Cover image is from a free-download wallpaper by Tyler Edlin; I do not own it, and will take it down immediately if requested.]
