Chapter 220: Something Happened

Downstairs, Yu Xiangyang was nearby talking to Teacher Ye.

Teacher Ye was trying to persuade Yu Xiangyang to be his disciple. He was holding a stack of documents and speaking very sincerely. “With your talents, it’s a pity if you don’t study to become a potion maker. Could you tell me the reasons why you don’t want to learn from me?”

Yu Xiangyang looked away from the laboratory with raised brows. He glanced at Teacher Ye. “No major reason. I just don’t like the surname Ye.”

“You don’t like the surname Ye?” It was the first time Teacher Ye heard someone say that. His brows shot up in astonishment.

The surname Ye was a big deal in the International Association.

The family was second only to the big three.

This was the first time he heard someone claim they didn’t like the surname Ye.

Yu Xiangyang grunted, his expression mild. Teacher Ye couldn’t see the air of malevolence which had gathered around his lowered eyes.

“Come look for me if you change your mind in the future,” Teacher Ye said reluctantly.

Yu Xiangyang stuffed his hands in his pockets and gave Teacher Ye a charming smile.

He then turned and left.

Just as he turned, there was a sudden boom and screams erupted.

Yu Xiangyang paused and looked in the direction of the potion building. As there were very few potion makers, they only took up the third level of the building. The origins of the explosion was that laboratory.

He knew that Su Huiqing was at that laboratory preparing the potion for her promotion.

Yu Xiangyang’s heart sank when he didn’t spot that familiar figure coming out of the laboratory. Without thinking twice, he dashed in.

Teacher Ye was momentarily stunned before he also started to run up to the third floor.

The entire third level was filled with smoke. The ceiling lights swayed amongst the thick ash. One of the students grabbed Teacher Ye’s sleeves in a panic. “Teacher Ye, Ms Dugu is still in the potion room!”

“Ms Dugu?” Teacher Ye’s face changed. “Go in and save her first.”

He calmed himself down before charging in to rescue her, ignoring his student’s persuasions to stay.

“Why have you come in here?!” In a panic, he noticed that Yu Xiangyang had also barged into the potion room. Teacher Ye dodged a piece of falling rock, his face ashen.

Under such circumstances, he could not see Yu Xiangyang’s dark expression.

Yu Xiangyang had already located Su Huiqing. He said peevishly, “Since you have all come in only to save Ms Dugu. It’s up to me to save Ms Su.”

Teacher Ye didn’t have time to bother about Yu Xiangyang’s tone of voice.

The reason behind the explosion in the potion room, all injuries or fatalities suffered, as well as any implications for the Dugu Family—he had to answer for it all.

This explosion had happened too suddenly.

No one expected such a brazen act to be committed within Monster University.

Luckily during this period, there were not that many people in the potion room. There were only three.

Qu Yan and Gu Li had also hurried over. Gu Li was still holding his books when he saw Su Huiqing beside Yu Xiangyang. Their faces immediately turned grave.

They never imagined that Su Huiqing would be injured.

There were no signs of injuries on her, but she was unconscious.

Even Yu Xiangyang had no solution, and could only bring her to the hospital.

Apart from Su Huiqing, Dugu Wu and another boy were also there.

At the hospital, nearly all the doctors rushed to Dugu Wu’s side in the emergency room.

Quite a number of people had also come over from the school.

Teacher Ye was also there, but he was really helpless in such a situation. The Head of the Dugu Family was a well-known tyrant and no one dared to cross him.

Even the principal tried to avoid him.

Su Huiqing and that boy were left in their beds by the corridor.

Yu Xiangyang pounded on the wall and dragged a nurse over to Su Huiqing’s bedside. Gu Li dug out his gun and pointed it at her head. His eyes were vicious. “Go and get a doctor here to save her.”

Teacher Ye and the other students were totally shocked by their violent and domineering behavior.

But the trio did not care at all.

This was not the time to bother about niceties.

The most important thing now was Su Huiqing’s condition. Nothing else mattered.

As Yu Xiangyang watched them arranging the medical apparatus, he took out his cell phone and made a call.

Su Huiqing usually never hid anything from them.

He also knew that Su Huiqing had some extraordinary friends with special abilities. He contacted Xie Zhengyuan directly as he had no other way to contact those friends.

Meanwhile, the Dugu Family matriarch just received news of Dugu Wu’s injuries. She immediately flew over on a helicopter.

“Where’s the doctor?!” She smacked the table. “Where is that brain specialist who was here earlier?! If anything happens to my granddaughter, I’ll destroy this hospital!”

At her words, armed guards standing behind her pointed their weapons at everyone.

“He has been directed to go save another student.” One of the nurses spoke up fearfully.

The Dugu Family matriarch only cared about Dugu Wu. “Get him back to save my granddaughter!”

The team immediately paged for that brain specialist.

Within seconds, all the famous doctors in the International Association were summoned.

There was no way Su Ruohua could be kept in the dark about Su Huiqing’s situation.

But the Su Family was some distance away.

It was also impossible for her to make use of a helicopter like the Dugu Family. As a result, Su Ruohua arrived much later than the Dugu Family members.

“Qingqing…” She tried to be strong, but she just couldn’t remain calm when she saw her daughter in that state. Trembling, she held Su Huiqing’s hands. “Xiang… Xiangyang, what happened to Qingqing?”

Su Zhi and the other Su Family members were also there, all of them with grim faces.

Su Huiqing was more or less their everything.

“Auntie, don’t worry.” Qu Yan patted Su Ruohua on the shoulder. “Xiangyang said that there is nothing wrong with Qingqing’s pulse. We also didn’t find any major issues with her body. She only suffered some minor injuries.”

If there weren’t any major issues, why was she unconscious?

Su Ruohua could no longer hear what anyone else was talking about.

She just stared unwaveringly at Su Huiqing, her eyes full of tears.

Su Lun and her had never allowed Su Huiqing to suffer any injuries before. This was the first time she was looking at Su Huiqing lying before her. Su Ruohua slowly regained her composure, but the way she just sat there stoically looked somewhat scary.

Dugu Heng hurried over after receiving news of the incident and saw Su Ruohua sitting there coldly.

And the bedridden Su Huiqing.

“What happened?” Dugu Heng narrowed his eyes, which were full of a sharp light. “Where is the doctor?!”

“Doctor?” Su Ruohua wiped the tears off her cheeks. She said mockingly, “Aren’t all the doctors in this hospital busy saving the Young Mistress of the Dugu Family right now?”

Without waiting for Dugu Heng to answer, she turned and said, “Make the arrangements. We are changing hospitals.”

All the doctors in this hospital were controlled by the Dugu Family.

She had no choice but to switch hospitals.

“Change hospitals? Which other hospital is better than this?!” Dugu Heng held her hand, his face looking somewhat grave. “Go notify the director of the hospital. I want to see the doctor here within three minutes.”

With Dugu Heng’s authority, a bunch of doctors immediately rushed over.

Time seemed to pass extremely slowly as the doctors checked Su Huiqing over.

Su Ruohua leaned against the wall, her eyes fixed upon the ceiling lights.

Dugu Heng was on the phone.

Yu Xiangyang had already located Xie Zhengyuan.

The doors were soon thrown open. A doctor in a white lab coat took off his face mask. His face was grave. “I suspect that the patient is showing signs of being brain dead.”

Su Ruohua, Yu Xiangyang and the rest were completely thunderstruck.

Dugu Heng had just lit a cigarette, which he dropped on the ground in shock.

Silence descended across the entire waiting area outside the emergency room.

Until the sounds of the lift door opening.

A tall, erect figure emerged, cell phone in one hand and jacket in the other.

This man.

Dugu Heng’s pupils dilated in surprise. He never expected to see this man here. “Dugu Yusheng?”

Dugu Yusheng didn’t look at him but just went over to Xie Zhengyuan’s side. He asked in a low voice, “How is she?”

Xie Zhengyuan had acted very quickly. After receiving Yu Xiangyang’s phone call, he immediately contacted Doctor Luxe, who then contacted Chi Yue.

No one expected Dugu Yusheng to be the person who would show up. And so quickly. However, he had never doubted any one of the people by Su Huiqing’s side. “The doctor looked her over and suspects her to be brain dead.”

“Brain dead?” Dugu Yusheng gave a lazy smile, but the smile didn’t reach his eyes, which remained pitch-black.

He ignored everyone else and just took out his cell phone to make a video-call.

“Where are you?” He asked in that deep voice of his the moment the call was connected.
