Chapter 213: Master Yu Returns Home And Is Enraged

The entire hall was engulfed in silence.

Nearly everyone forgot this was the mourning hall.

No one expected even the indomitable Song San would get injured.

“Master San!” Song San’s men rushed over.

But Song San waved them off.

He straightened his body and lowered his eyes, slowly pulling out the arrow.

He threw it on the ground with a clatter.

He looked at Su Huiqing, the expression on his handsome face unchanging.

Yu Shijin instinctively glanced at Su Huiqing, his hand tightening around hers. His face was very grave.

He relaxed with relief when he didn’t detect any signs of heartache in her eyes.

His expression gradually warmed. He looked toward Song San and blocked his view of Su Huiqing. His voice had a hint of warning as he said, “Master San, I will remember your good turn today.”

Song San couldn’t be bothered to take notice of his imperious manner. “No harm done. It’s just that this assassin happens to be one of my men.”

With the wave of a hand, he allowed a nurse to lead him away.

His lowered eyes were dark.

Su Huiqing looked up and commanded the chief detective. “Prepare yourselves. We will return to the International Association immediately.”

Yu Shijin tightened his grip on her arm as he gazed sharply at her. “No, I still have to investigate a case.”

He would not return until he had fully investigated this matter concerning her.

“Chief detective, go and prepare.” Su Huiqing ignored Yu Shijin.

Chief detective knew that Yu Shijin was powerless before Su Huiqing. He gave Su Huiqing a proper military salute before going to prepare the private jet.

Yu Shijin pursed his lips, his voice somewhat low and raspy. “Who is your true boss?”

Chief detective didn’t know what to say. He thought: I just want to preserve my life!

The private jet was quickly prepared.

Su Huiqing didn’t manage to gather any evidence, but Qu Yan and the gang had successfully obtained quite a bit of useful information.

The three of them boarded the plane, all wearing baseball caps.

Chief detective’s eyes flashed. “Are you the ones who secretly infiltrated the embassy and impudently left behind the signature ‘Number One Thief was here’?”

Gu Li just smiled at the chief detective cheekily.

Yu Xiangyang pulled off his cap and twirled it in his hand.

Qu Yan just plopped down casually on a chair and started playing video games on her cell phone.

Chief detective was speechless. Ms Su was surrounded by a bunch of perverse folks.

They dared to treat the embassy with such nonchalance!

Su Huiqing took over the information gathered by the trio, before opening her laptop and sending a message to Chi Yue: Get me all the information you can find on Mountain Cat.

Chief detective observed her. He could feel the coldness exuding from her fingertips as she typed on the keyboard.

Yu Shijin leaned back on his chair, his eyes half-closed.

His mouth was slightly pursed, the angles of his lips sharp and harsh.

Chief detective stood there impassively. But he was smirking inside as he thought: Yu Shijin had met his match!

Just as the private jet was about to take flight, a person decked out in the military attire of Country M appeared. “This is a thank-you gift for Ms Su from our commander-in-chief. He wants to thank her for saving his life.”

Chief detective was stunned. He glanced at Su Huiqing. When did she save the commander-in-chief of Country M?

Su Huiqing just replied indifferently, not even lifting her head. “Accept it.”

Without any hesitation, the chief detective instructed his man to accept the gift.

The plane came to a stop at the International Association airport.

Su Huiqing had applied for half a month’s leave and didn’t expect to return now. But since she was back, she would be going to school.

Just as she turned, Yu Shijin gently held onto the corner of her sleeve. His voice was low. “Where are you going?”

His tone sounded rather pitiful.

Su Huiqing heartlessly shook off his hand before accepting a helmet from Qu Yan and putting it on. Just before boarding the car driven over by Su Zhi, she said, “I will come visit you tomorrow.”

Chief detective cleared his throat. “Boss, the Old Master is looking for you.”

Yu Shijin slowly turned his head and tucked his hands into his pocket. He said very regally, “Then let’s go.”

Chief detective followed behind him and suddenly thought of something. “Boss, you arranged for Chi Qing to enter the training grounds previously, for the sole purpose of letting him protect Ms Su, right? What should we do now?”

It was clear Ms Su didn’t wish to see Chi Qing…

“You don’t need to bother about that.” Yu Shijin’s eyes darkened.

It was already 3am in the morning.

The airport lights made his face look very washed out.

Chief detective thought about it for a second longer before pushing aside his concern. Ms Su was so capable, plus she had those three formidable buddies… did she really need protection from anyone else?

Yu Hongchang didn’t go back to sleep after knowing that Yu Shijin was back.

The lights in the study were all turned on.

Yu Shijin entered and immediately headed toward the lamp. He looked over it before going over to Yu Hongchang and bowed slightly. “Grandfather.”

“Grandfather? Do you still treat me as your grandfather?!” Yu Hongchang smacked the table.

Damn. Chief detective carefully took a step back.

Yu Shijin remained very calm. He stood before Yu Hongchang with arms crossed, his posture poised and regal. He replied casually, “Of course.”

“If you still treat me as your grandfather, send this thing back! And this Ms Su—cut all ties with her!” Yu Hongchang pointed at the lamp. He couldn’t help feeling angry as he looked at his grandson’s stubborn manner!

Especially when this grandson of his made such dramatic moves over the past few days, and only had minimal results to show for.

But the consequences of Yu Shijin’s actions were enough to drive him to panic.

Chief detective’s heart stopped when he heard Yu Hongchang’s words.

Doomed.

Why did Yu Hongchang have to mention Ms Su?!

He tried his best to signal the Old Master with his eyes, but Yu Hongchang remained oblivious.

In the end, the chief detective had no choice but to cautiously take one more step back…

Yu Hongchang never expected that the moment those words left his lips, the atmosphere in the room felt like it had suddenly been plunged into ice.

Even though Yu Shijin’s expression remained the same, and he was even smiling—the smile looked somewhat vicious in the chief detective’s eyes. “Mmm, Grandpa, say it again. Cut my ties with her?”

With that, he turned and left.

Yu Hongchang was patting his own chest in relief. He was about to say something when he suddenly noticed that the chief detective was still around.

He immediately cleared his throat and said sternly, “In that case, you must protect Ms Su. Tell her that the International Association is not as simple as she imagines. It is not that easy for a commoner to become the Head Mistress of the Yu Family.”

The corners of the chief detective’s lips twitched. Who was protecting whom?!

But by the time he lifted his head, Yu Hongchang had already left.

Meanwhile, at Yu Shijin’s house, the servants received news of his return.
