Chapter 212: Taking An Arrow For Her

Right after dodging that first round of attack, Yu Shijin had already commanded the chief detective. “Go and get things back online.”

“Boss…” Chief detective remained unmoving, still holding his weapon.

His duty was to protect Yu Shijin, who was in serious danger now.

Yu Shijin glanced at him. “Ms Su is here.”

Chief detective was clearly stunned. He had no idea how Yu Shijin knew she was here.

But he no longer had any hesitations, and just turned to leave.

He and everyone under Yu Shijin held the same wholehearted trust and respect for Su Huiqing.

With Ms Su here, he believed that the boss’s safety was guaranteed.

Yu Shijin held his chest. He felt out of breath after dodging those earlier bullets.

He placed his hand on the staircase and steadied himself, before gazing down at the scene. It was chaos.

Just as he was about to duck down, that arrow was suddenly shot down by something else.

He immediately knew Su Huiqing was here.

However, the thought that came to his mind was not relief.

Yu Shijin’s eyes darkened. He took out his own weapon from his coat pocket. His bow was custom-made and of the smallest model. It was specially designed to be easily portable.

As he armed his bow, his eyes were filled with rage.

He did not need her protection.

No matter what, he was able to protect himself.

Did she realize she could easily expose herself like this?

But she was that kind of person.

She would protect all those she cared about, without any reservations.

Yu Shijin had armed his bow. Blood would be shed.

A sudden click and the entire hall was lit up again.

The doors were thrown open. A troop of soldiers rushed in and surrounded Mountain Cat and his men.

With the lights turned on, Su Huiqing narrowed her eyes and turned to look straight at Yu Shijin.

Yu Shijin was keeping his bow, an unreadable expression on his face.

“Mr… Mr. Yu…” The acting president was still very shaken.

He was closest to Yu Shijin.

He naturally knew the assassins were targeting Yu Shijin.

Even his voice was trembling.

Song San also descended the stairs, his manner very elegant.

He was also staring at Su Huiqing.

No one could tell what Song San was thinking now.

Meanwhile, Su Huiqing was completely oblivious to him. She continued to look at the person before her, at his unusually pale face. Her heart sank. Wordlessly, she reached out to feel his pulse.

Her eyes were clear and tranquil.

However, Yu Shijin grabbed Su Huiqing’s hand instead. He stared into her eyes. “I won’t die that easily. I would have long been dead if it’s so easy for me to succumb to assassinations.”
