Chapter 207: Moving Into The Yu Family

Of course, only Yu Shijin himself knew if he was seeking her for an answer, or because he was worried about her.

All of the Su Corporation people knew Yu Shijin.

In particular, Xie Zhengyuan and several others had worked with him before.

“Didn’t she tell you?” Xie Zhengyuan shot Yu Shijin a meaningful look. “She has gone to Country H.”

Yu Shijin stood there, tall and poised before them. That chiselled face was impassive, but his brows seemed to have furrowed just a little at Xie Zhengyuan’s words.

“Thank you.” He thanked Xie Zhengyuan before turning to leave.

After he left, Su Zhi looked at Xie Zhengyuan with a vexed expression. “Qingqing told us not to tell anyone about her going to Country H, especially… Mr. Yu. Why did you do that?”

“It’s fine.” Xie Zhengyuan sighed. “There are some things which you don’t know about.”

Doctor Luxe was at Unknown Island.

As a result, Xie Zhengyuan was well aware of everything that happened at Unknown Island.

Although he didn’t say anything, he had his suspicions about Su Huiqing’s identity.

Most people didn’t know about Chi Qing’s exile from Unknown Island. But it created an uproar among the higher powers, second only to Country H.

He believed that Yu Shijin would never harm her.

Yu Shijin led his men to the airport, not even bothering to pack.

“Boss, the border security of Country H is stringent. People are allowed to enter, but not allowed to leave.” Chief detective brought him a cup of warm water.

Yu Shijin accepted the cup with one hand, while pressing his forehead with the other. He said simply, “Purpose.”

“Capture Su S.” Chief detective had hesitated in answering when he noticed Yu Shijin’s sickly pallor.

“Capture?” Yu Shijin smirked. “Have the arrangements at Country H been made?”

Chief detective nodded. “Nearly all completed.”

Yu Shijin drank the water before slowly closing his eyes. He didn’t open his mouth again.

Seeing that, the chief detective quietly left.

Meanwhile…

The Yu Family residences.

Dugu Wu and the Dugu Family matriarch arrived at the Yu Family residence.

“Madam Yu, we have had many misunderstandings in the past. I have brought you some gifts and hope that you will forgive us.” The Dugu Family matriarch waved and had her men carry a box in.

The box was opened.

It was filled with expensive and rare items.

Ning Baokun’s eyes lit up.

She was Yu Shijin’s mother, but in reality, before Yu Shijin returned, she was basically a nobody in the Yu Family. The Dugu Family matriarch’s high status was something she could only covet from afar.

Now, the Dugu Family matriarch was not only treating her so politely, she had even personally brought her such expensive gifts.

This was also the first time Ning Baokun would be visiting Yu Shijin’s lodgings.

The furnishings were classic and elegant. It was luxurious but low-profile.

Dugu Wu’s heart pounded.

The Dugu Family also had a house like this, but it had been locked up by Dugu Heng. No one was allowed to enter. She never expected for the Yu Family to have given something like that to Yu Shijin.

She followed behind Ning Baokun and the Dugu Family matriarch, scheming all the way.

Yu Shijin had already left the International Association by then. Only the servants were left behind.

And the servants were not exceptionally hospitable toward those three ladies sitting on the sofa.

“Where’s Shijin?” Ning Baokun asked.

Someone answered with lowered eyes. “The Young Master has gone out and won’t be back for some time.”

“Gone out?” Ning Baokun frowned but didn’t appear too concerned. She just glanced at Dugu Wu. “Although Shijin is not around, you can move in first and get used to the place. You have to stay here in future anyway.”

Dugu Wu lowered her head, pretending to be bashful.

Things were thus settled. Ning Baokun had the servants lead Dugu Wu upstairs to choose a room.

She immediately picked the bedroom opposite Yu Shijin’s.

“It has just been newly renovated.” Ning Baokun was all smiles as she had the servant open the door. “Little Wu, look. This pale blue furniture set, is it the one that you liked? Also, these clothes. They are all tailor-made by international designers. It looks like Shijin has already prepared everything.”

Dugu Wu and the Dugu Family matriarch were also somewhat surprised.

“Madam, this is the room which the Young Master has prepared for Ms Su.” One of the servants finally couldn’t resist speaking up.

“Who is this Ms Su?!” Ning Baokun cried out angrily. “Throw away all the clothes and everything else in here! Move Ms Dugu Wu’s belongings into this room immediately!”

In her heart, the Yu Family and the Dugu Family had a marriage contract.

Dugu Wu had a high status and was very obedient. She was everything she wanted in a daughter-in-law. As a result, she naturally sided with her.

As for this Ms Su, whom she had never heard of before, she had utterly no regard for her.

All the servants were stunned.

Ning Baokun was definitely capable of kicking them out of the Yu Family.

Satisfied, Ning Baokun turned and held Dugu Wu’s hands. “You just stay here and wait for Shijin to return.”

Dugu Wu was delighted when she saw her belongings slowly taking over the room.

Everything here was exquisitely made.

She silently resolved to marry into the Yu Family no matter what. Whether it was for the sake of her position in the Dugu Family, or for her future.

“Auntie, you mentioned that Master Yu was recently taken ill. How did he go out on his own? Should we go find him?” Dugu Wu noted the look that the Dugu Family matriarch gave her. A sick person was at his most vulnerable.

“Well, I don’t know where he is…” Ning Baokun looked at Dugu Wu’s concerned expression and frowned. She seldom saw Yu Shijin and usually had no idea where he was. “I will go ask the family head later.”
