Chapter 136: Have You Heard Of The Miracle Doctor?

Su Huiqing put on her pyjamas and accepted the call.

It was Ning Wenjun. He politely expressed his wish to apologize to Su Huiqing.

The image of that aloof figure holding an umbrella suddenly appeared in his mind.

Ning Wenjun tightened his grip around the phone, before lifting his eyes. “Has it been delivered to Master Yu?”

He understood Su Huiqing’s earlier words.

She had indeed resolved the vendetta between Ning Wenxue and herself.

But she had no intention of letting the Ning Family off.

The person beside him bowed and answered, “We have just dispatched someone to deliver it.”

Ning Wenjun’s expression shifted slightly.

He massaged his temples. “Tell that bunch of Ning Family folks that this will be the last time I am cleaning up their mess for them.”

The person standing beside him nodded in silence.

Looking at Ning Wenjun’s grim face, he couldn’t help sighing. The Ning Family had indeed dragged the Young Master down with them.

Ning Wenjun’s cell phone lit up again. It was a message from Chu Xuning: Brother, I risked my life to get this information from Yu Xiangyang. Ms Su is only interested in rare herbs now. Don’t blame me for not telling you this.

Su Huiqing was very busy this entire week. She had to concoct a potion for Number One Intelligence Agency, attend classes and spare some time to go on the film set.

Commander Chu was leaning against the bed rest, while the doctor was monitoring the instruments by his side. He asked as he made some notes, “Commander Chu, are you really not going to tell the Young Master about your health condition?”

“No need.” A mild shake of the head.

At this point, Old Master Yu came in with Su Huiqing in tow.

When Old Master Yu first came to Green City, it was Commander Chu who welcomed him. On the surface, the two families didn’t seem to interact much, but privately, they had a very good relationship.

“Is this the Su Family’s young lass?” Commander Chu looked at Su Huiqing with a grin.

Old Master Yu was shocked at his comment.

He glanced at the “young lass” before quietly turning away.

If only Commander Chu knew that this “young lass” was the miracle doctor who could treat his illness! Would he still dare to call her that?!

“Commander, you should rest and take good care of yourself.” The doctor adjusted his spectacles before adding respectfully. “It is best if you can inform the Young Master soon.”

Commander Chu was very calm. “Tell me how much longer do I have to live.”

The doctor glanced at him. “The tumor is already pressing against your nerve. According to its current rate of absorption, in less than two months…”

“Are you using the wrong medication?” Su Huiqing stuffed her hands in her pocket as she interrupted the doctor.

The doctor was momentarily taken aback, but quickly regained his composure and retorted angrily. “Who is this foolish little girl? What nonsense are you spouting?!”

Su Huiqing just smirked.

“This thing is not right.” She casually walked to the side of the bed. She picked up an empty medicine bottle, whose contents had just been injected into Commander Chu. “Commander Chu should be taking a nucleic acid inhibitor, not an activator.”

The doctor’s face grew stern. “Commander Chu, if you don’t explain what is going on now…”

“Shh…” Su Huiqing pressed her finger against her own lips before smirking at the fuming doctor again. “Don’t get so riled up. Let’s just send this for testing. Everything will be revealed then.”

Old Master Yu trusted Su Huiqing and always listened to her. Without another word, he subdued the doctor.

Su Huiqing usually couldn’t care less about such matters. But she chose to intervene for Chu Xuning’s sake.

Commander Chu’s pupils dilated. “Old Master Yu, you…”

Su Huiqing pulled a chair over and sat before Old Mr. Chu. She reached up to take his pulse.

After that, she lifted her eyes to look at Commander Chu in an aloof manner. Her voice was cool and crisp. “Commander Chu, have you heard of the miracle doctor?”
