“Is he still a child? He can’t even look after his own things and needs you to clean up his mess for him. You can help him now, but can you help him forever?!” Yu Shijin’s eyes hardened. “He can’t even handle such a small matter, but needs you to step up. He has poor judgment and no leadership abilities. If not for you, he’s as good as a useless bum!”

He might or might not be referring only to Chi Qing.

Su Huiqing kept silent.

“Master Yu, these people appeared out of the blue.” Chief detective couldn’t resist speaking up. “Ms Su probably didn’t know this matter had something to do with Assassin God. So she came here not because of him…”

Yu Shijin suddenly lifted his head.

He fixed his dark eyes upon the chief detective.

After half a second, he dashed into the rain.

Behind him, the chief detective wanted to pass him an umbrella, but he completely ignored that.

By the time he left the front gates, there was no one out there at all.

All traces of her had gone. It was like she was never here.

She always had that ability.

No one could find her if she didn’t wish to be found.

In a daze, Yu Shijin stood affixed to the spot for a long time. Even when the chief detective and gang caught up with him and shielded him with an umbrella, he remained unresponsive.

“Master Yu, let’s go back in to bandage your wound first.” Vice chief detective noticed the blood trailing down his forearm.

“Call Chu Xuning.” Yu Shijin ordered calmly instead of replying to him.

Someone immediately took out his cell phone and called Chu Xuning.

Chu Xuning already received news of the attack. The moment he got the call, he said, “Master Yu, I will arrange for alternative accommodation for you.”

Yu Shijin placed the cell phone by his ear and said in a low voice, “No need. Check if the Su Family has any properties nearby.”

Su Huiqing woke up early in the morning.

The movie “The Victor” was only lacking the female lead. Filming started immediately now that she had been confirmed for the role.

Director Lu also accommodated the fact that she was a student.

Startled, the makeup artist reprimanded with a stern face. “Do you want me to do your makeup or not!”

Su Huiqing continued to ignore her but just looked coldly at Lu Yun. “Who did this?”

Frightened, Lu Yun shook her head.

With her low status, she was already used to such matters.

“I asked you who did this?” Su Huiqing calmly repeated the question.

No one could oppose Su Huiqing when she spoke like this.

Lu Yun stammered a reply.

Su Huiqing nodded and pushed back her chair before heading toward the logistics department.

The people there were discussing something, and on seeing Su Huiqing approach, they didn’t quieten down but instead spoke up even more loudly, as if they purposely wanted her to hear their words.

“I wonder how many people she seduced to get this… and she’s still so young…”

“She puts on so many airs. Even the director has to wait for her. I wonder who is backing her.”

“You guys better lower your voices. Otherwise, she might make life difficult for you.”

“Pfft, she’s already so shameless, how can she be afraid of what others say?!”

Su Huiqing didn’t speak up but just asked Lu Yun a question, before taking up a cup of piping hot water.

She poured the water onto the man who had been chattering non-stop!

Everyone just stood there staring at the girl, whose hair was still in the middle of being styled. With one hand in her pocket and the other holding a cup, she stood there with a cold and ruthless smile on her lips!
