The 4th guy was brought inside the room accompanied by the police officer.
The moment the police escort was already out of the door, Jessy freeze the guy instantly.
Time for mind reading, Jessy rose to her feet and walked to the side of the guy and placed her hands on his head.
Thirty minutes later, she began talking...
"This guy is a construction worker who got laid off from his job just three weeks before he becomes one of the hostage-taker. He has no other violation before the hostage-taking situation. It seems he was desperate and wants to earn 500 thousand dollars to feed his family of three. That's all!"
Jessy unfreezes the guy and was taken out of the room.
After the guy was taken out, it was the 5th guy's turn.
Jessy conducted the same process with the 5th guy.
Thirty minutes later, Jessy was done reading the guy's memory.
"This guy is jobless, homeless, and has no family. He is an immigrant, not a native to our country. He got involved with carnapping and stole things from several stores across the city. That's all."
The 5th guy was taken out and Jessy asked for a break.
There are five more guys left. Jessy wants to finish reading their minds before the night is over.
Inside, Oliver's car.
"You want us to go back to my apartment and order home delivery or eat dinner in the restaurant several blocks ahead?" asked Oliver.
Jessy opted to go to Oliver's apartment. "Let's go to your apartment. I need to close my eyes for a few minutes then eat diner and go back to the Police Station to resume mind-reading," she answered.
"Alright, you're the Boss!" Oliver said and started the engine.
They arrived in Oliver's apartment at 9:00.
Jessy went straight to the living room of Oliver's abode and closed her eyes to sleep for a few minutes of rest.

Oliver ordered foods to be delivered in his place, then went to his office room to make a detailed report on what transpired inside the investigation room in the police station.
Thirty minutes later, the food was delivered, and Jessy's eyes opened up the moment the smell of delicious food drifted into her nostrils.
"Wow! I dream of foods in my sleep!" she exclaimed.
Oliver arranged the foods in the center table along with the plates, fork, and spoon. "Since I can't ask you what to order I decided on my own, I hope you like the dishes I ordered," he said and began putting foods on his plate.
Jessy smiled. "Wow! Seafood hot pot ramen, grilled pork loin with chimichurri sauce, and hot chicken wings! I'm starving!"
"What are you waiting for? Eat!" Oliver said while munching on the spicy chicken wings.
Jessy beamed brightly and began putting foods on her plate.
The partners savored their meals with gusto.
Time went by too fast and they finally finished everything in the platter.
"That was delicious! The ramen was hot and spicy with the just the right savory taste that I love," Jessy muses.
"We can order it again next time," Oliver suggested.
They put away their trash in the kitchen and cleaned their mess.
"I'm well-rested and well feed, let's go back now to the Police Station to finish what we started," said Jessy.
Oliver looked at his partner. "Your mind-reading skill is very useful, partner," he commented.
Jessy nods her head. "Yeah," she agreed. "You want me to read your mind and see your memories?" she teased him, grinning.
Oliver smiled. "Ah, no need. I got nothing to hide. Save your energy for the next 5 guys waiting for you in the Police Station. Speaking of the station, I think we should head back there, because tomorrow, you will be busy guiding others to find the missing cadavers hidden purposefully by that serial killer," he said.

"Okie Dokie," answered Jessy.
They exited the apartment, got into the car, and drove to the police station.
Jessy and Oliver went inside the investigation room to wait for the # 6 guy.
After a few minutes of waiting, the guy in handcuffed was taken inside.
Jessy freezes the guy after the police officer left the room. She placed her hand on the guys head and began the process of reading his mind and memory.
Thirty minutes later.
Jessy was done with the guy.
"This guy is working as a mechanic. He got a nice job and a nice family, the wife is pregnant with their first child but it seems he is not satisfied with his salary so when he was offered the 500 thousand dollars, he accepted it and become one of the hostage-taker. He committed no other crime before the hostage-taking, so this is his first-time major offense. That's all!"
The 6th guy was taken out from the room replaced by the 7th guy.
After freezing the 7th guy, Jessy resumed her work.
Thirty minutes later.
"This 7th guy should never be allowed to get out from his cell and should be imprisoned forever. He is an expert in making bombs, improvised bombs, that's it. He loves when things explode and he loves making explosives and loves experimenting with things related to wires and mechanical stuff. He was involved in three bombings in three different cities throughout the country in the last three years. That's all," said Jessy.
The 7th guy was taken out of the room replaced by the 8th guy.
Jessy freezes the 8th guy and gets down into the business of reading his mind and scanning his memory.
Thirty minutes later, she gives her verdict.
"This guy is just an ordinary guy. A lonely guy, living a world of his own, and then one day he meets and befriended a man online who radicalized him and feed bad things in his mind and eventually poisoned him. That's how he becomes one of the hostage-taker. It's his first-time offense. Nothing follows," Jessy said.
The 8th guy was taken out and replaced by the 9th guy.
Jessy freezes him and entered his mind, scanning his memory.
Thirty minutes later...
"This 9th guy is our guy," Jessy looked at Oliver. "He is the leader of the hostage-takers occupying the hotel. They planned to blow up the entire hotel and took several hostages with them and flee from the scene. He was in regular contact with a guy online. Then they always meet in person in one of the bars nearby. They are part of a terrorist group that regularly carries atrocities in the city all over the country such as bombing, kidnapping, hostage-taking, and human trafficking. I want to meet the other guy that he was regularly chatting with...in his messaging app. If we can catch that guy we may be able to find out the source of their funds and their supporter," she explained.
Oliver stared at Jessy in awe. "Awesome! I hope you won't grow old and won't die, Agent X. Your mind-reading capabilities is what exactly we need in hard cases like this," he blurted out.
Jessy smiled. "I want the 10th guy in! Let's get this over with, partner," she told him.
Oliver gave her a thumb up sign and pressed the button below the table.

... And My Skillet
A long time ago, a child was born under the great blue sky. Many a Dwarf grumbled at the auspicious event, tugging furtively at their beards at this ill omen. A year later as the expedition had begun digging into the virgin hills of their new home, the grumbling of the doughty mountain people rose to a disbelieving furor when the yearling passed over the ritual offerings that would determine his lot in life. Instead, the as of yet unnamed child crawled over to a skillet fresh out of the fire and begun picking at the rock bread, unconcerned with the heat. Shouts turned into laughter, frowns lifted into craggy smiles. Upon placing a handful of the bread into his mouth, the infant’s face grew so grim and stony not even the eldest of the present Dwarves could match him. There was a durable ore within this babe, of that the Lore Keeper was sure. Yumly Ironhand was thus named, the beginning of his great tale immortalized on the rune walls of his clan’s history. “It’s pronounced Yoom Lee and no, rock bread isn’t a misnomer.”

Absolute Power of the Imagination
(Hello this is a story that I'm making and is basically just my fantasy of what it would be like to be a human with god-like powers and the MC is going to have my personality so you are reading some of my desires.) Everyone has at least once thought what it would it would be like to be GOD but only so many people have actually thought about it deeply and this story is going to be through my thoughts as what it would be like to be a god-like being that was once human (because it would be no fun to read or write what it would be like to be GOD since there are no obstacles as the definition of GOD.) (I'm writing this because my new favorite novel "Michael Ammers: My OP leisure life" has been dropped or is on a really long hiatus.
