The Last Embrace Chapter 434

One week later.

Jessy has been wanting to visit Capt. Mercado. She was thinking about what is the military's plan for the vampires residing in the Facility. The last time she saw the captain he showed her the order from General Smith ordering the military to cease attacking the Facility.

So far it's been peaceful.

But somehow it's the kind of peace that does not last long.

They would be very lucky if the humans will suddenly forgive and forget all the vampire race.

No, they won't.

That is why she needed to see Captain Mercado again, maybe this time she needs to come up with a solid plan on how to secure the safety of the remaining vampire survivors living in the Facility and Habitat.

All the blood transfusion that she had undertaken all these years will turn to nothing if one day they will all perish under the enemy's hands.

That cease order given by General Smith is too good to be true. She was wondering what is the General is planning nowadays? Would they initiate a surprise attack to the Facility? and if yes...when and how? The more she thinks about him the more she wanted to meet this General.

She can't just sit idle in the clinic...fantasizing that if only life is easy just like blood transfusion then everything would be okay.

The more she thinks about their current situation, the more she wanted to see Capt. Mercado and discover what are the military officials are planning to do with the Facility.

Tonight at 8:00 in the evening, she will go to the city and see Capt. Mercado. She wants to know if there are new orders given to launch an attack on the Facility. If such order exists she has to know when it's gonna happen so that she is ready to defend the vampire's fortress.

So far so good, the peace they experienced in the Facility is like a silver lining, it gave them a little bit of space to breathe.

But she wants to be a few steps ahead of the military people. She just can't wait for their action and react later.

She got to know their plans in advance, it's the only way to protect the Facility and the Habitat.

She looked at the doctor. "Doc. I will do a blood transfusion until 8:00 tonight. I have some important errands to do outside. We will resume blood transfusion tomorrow with the usual schedule from morning until midnight," she said.

"Okay, no problem," the doctor answered.

She was lying in the bed with a calm face, but deep inside she was busy planning her next move. She needs to locate the home address of each of the military officials and visit them on their homes in the middle of the night and read their minds, she had to do it. Even if she had to kill the President of the country she won't hesitate in doing so. If killing those officials can guarantee safety to her clan then she won't hesitate to annihilate anyone. But as long they weren't planning to destroy the Facility, she will leave them alone.

She only wanted peace for everyone but if she can't get it, she might unleash hell to anyone who stood her way.

Her main focus is the survival of the vampire clan living in the Facility and Habitat, the rest is secondary.

...

One hour later.

Jessy exited the clinic and meet her mother in the canteen for dinner.

"How are you daughter?" Sarah asked.

"I'm fine as usual, Mom," she responded, smiling.

Sarah asked, "Have you seen, Adam lately?"

Jessy smiled radiantly. "Yes, only once, we talked for a few minutes."

"Ah, I see. That's good. How is he doing in the prison room?"

"He's doing fine in there. I will visit him once a week now that he's already alone in there," she winked at her mother.

Sarah gently patted her daughter's shoulder. "That's good. One year isn't that long though. I do admire Adam's willingness to sacrifice his freedom for two years so that you can obtain your freedom and help make his brother come back to life. Other people would be selfish and would not do such a thing. I must admit, Adam won me over with his good intentions."

Jessy smiled radiantly, she's more than proud of Adam's selfish attitude.

After eating, the women exited the canteen and went their separate ways.

...

Jessy went to visit Hannah in her room. When she entered the room, Queen Margaret was holding her grandson in her arms while Princess Abigail was attending to Hannah in the bed feeding her some kind of vegetable soup.

"Hello Mother and Abi!" she greeted the women cheerfully.

"Hello, Jess..." Princess Abigail replied.

Queen Margaret smiled at Jessy. "Hi... daughter," she said.

Smiling, Jessy went to her friend's side. "Hi Hannah," she greeted her.

"Hi Jess, thanks for visiting," Hannah replied.

"How are you doing? How's the transformation from being a vampire into a human being? How do you feel now?" Jessy asked.

"Not bad. I find the human food delicious and tasty, and I'm no longer craving for blood," Hannah enthused.

"That's awesome! You are no longer dependent on blood to survive," Jessy said. "Welcome to the human world my friend!" she grinned.

"Thanks for your blood, Jess. Your blood makes all this possible. I'm forever indebted to you," Hannah said teary-eyed.

"Don't mention it. Anyways, I'm going back now to the clinic to resume blood transfusion. I just want to make sure that you are doing well. You take care of yourself. Bye girls..." she said and turned around to exit the room.

"Bye Jess..." the women replied in unison.

...

Jessy walked casually in the hallways heading towards the clinic.

She entered the clinic and lay down in the bed, then the doctor began the process of inserting the needle in her veins.

The recipient settled in the next bed and the blood transfusion begins.

...

Two hours later.

By 8:15 in the evening, Jessy was already done with the last blood transfusion for the night. She exited the clinic and strolled in the silent hallway towards her room.

Once inside the room, she went to her closet and picked up her black ensemble which consists of a black jacket, black blouse, black shoes, and her black sling bag.

Done donning the garments on her body and tying her hair in a ponytail, she's ready to go.

Jessy transformed herself in her invisible form and initiated the teleportation process in her mind.

A few seconds later.

Jessy landed in the living room of Capt. Mercado's house.

Since it's still early in the evening, the kids were still wide awake and playing hide and seek in the living room.

She went upstairs and search the room. She found the teenagers in the room studying. She went to the couple's room, but the captain and his wife weren't there.
