The Last Embrace Chapter 433

Jessy went to her room and transformed herself into her invisible form. She needs to see Adam and be with him for even just a few minutes. She's been wanting to thank him personally 'coz he's the one responsible for making Zain changed his mind and finally setting her free from their sham marriage.
Done transforming herself into her invisible form, she initiated the teleportation process in her mind.
A few seconds later, she landed inside the prison room and saw Adam lying in the bed.
She made herself visible and run to his side.
"Adam!" she called his name.
"Jessy!" Adam's eyes widened upon seeing his ladylove running towards him. He stood up swiftly and she catapulted into his arms.
"I miss you so much!" she starts kissing his cheeks.
Adam kissed her back on the lips. "I miss you more!"
"How are you doing here?" she asked.
"Fine. I guess my sister keeps you updated in my daily activities, am I right?" he said.
"Yeah, sort of. Maybe she just wants me not to worry much about you. But I needed to see you with my own two eyes. Now, I can finally say that you are doing fine during your confinement here. Zain finally announced to everyone that our marriage was no longer valid and we are going our separate ways. I'm so happy today! Thank you for making it possible!" Jessy beamed in elation.
Adam feels happy for her. Two of his goals have been met. He is a happy camper inside the prison room.
"Why can't your brother let you go sooner?" she pouted.
"Because it's our arrangement from the very beginning. I have to obey it, especially that he already complies with the other end of the bargain. I'm very happy that you are finally free from him. My brother left this room and going to start raising a family of his own. By staying here willingly, I solved two problems! This made my day," he said happily.

"But your brother is so mean!" Jessy snorted.
"Shh...don't hate my brother for it especially that I'm also willing to do it. It's my way of telling him that I'm sorry for taking you away from him," he defended his actions and reasons.
"But I was never his in the first place," she grumbled.
"But in his mind you are. It was drilled on his head and he grows up thinking you are his soulmate, so yeah, that's how it is. But anyways, we shall not talk about the past anymore. You are single now and no longer a married woman. I'm genuinely happy for you!" Adam enthused.
Then Jessy smiled brightly. For all his sacrifices she should at least not start a debate with him. It dawned on her that Adam is already alone in this prison room. Which means she can visit him anytime? Just perfect! Fantastic!
"Since, your brother is no longer here. Can I visit you here, every night?" she asked eagerly.
Adam was still weary because his brother might visit him anytime and seeing Jessy inside the room during his confinement might trigger the old wound he was trying to heal.
"Jess, I think we should avoid seeing each other frequently. My brother's heart still healing. I don't want him to think that the moment he sets you free, we are already entangled on each other's arms. I want to avoid that kind of scenario," he explained.
Jessy's face was marred with a sad expression. "B-but...what about us?"
"Just wait patiently for one more year and after this...we will be free from everyone else. I just want to repair the rift between me and my brother first. Once, he was completely over you then we can resume our normal routine. Okay?" he asked for her support and understanding.

Not wanting to make things complicated for Adam, she smiled sweetly at him. By cooperating with him and not giving him a hard time, it will help him a great deal.
Even though it's hard on her part not seeing him now that she's already a free woman, but if her support can give him solace then she will do as he says. "Okay, fine. I will cooperate with you. But I shall visit you here at midnight at least once per week. Don't worry, I won't' stay long on your side. I just want to see you from time to time," she declared her case.
Adam shook his head and sighed. Jessy will always do things her way. "Alright, once per week only," he relented.
Jessy's face erupted into a dazzling smile. "Yes! Thanks, that you agree with me. Once per week is enough for me!" she hugged him tight not wanting to let him go. She wanted to fill that longing in her heart by savoring their togetherness.
Adam hugged her back and kissed her forehead lovingly. "Don't ever find another lover now that you're finally a free woman, okay?" he warned her.
Jessy looked into his eyes. "And if I do?"
"I will skin him alive!" he gives her a menacing look.
Jessy giggled. "OMG! You're scary!" she laughed.
Adam's facial expression soften. "I'm just kidding..."
"Of course, I know you are just joking," Jessy whispered. "Don't worry, I won't find another lover. My heart only belongs to you! So, rest your mind at ease, okay?"
"I will. Thank you, Jess, for supporting me in this cause. It's important for me that my brother and I can have closure. And it's the only way I know how to soften his heart," he continued.
"Yeah, I got you. So, let's just stop talking about your brother and just embrace each other while we still have time," she said.
Adam and Jessy lie down in the bed and embrace each other.
A few minutes later...sounds of voices can be heard outside the door. Jessy immediately transforms herself into her invisible form and teleported into her room the moment the door opened and she saw Zain entering the room.
Dang! That was close!
Jessy landed inside her room, she walked towards the bed and lay her body down. Well, despite the little hiccup due to Zain's sudden appearance in the room, she was still happy and satisfied that she was able to spend a few precious minutes of her time with Adam in the prison room celebrating her happiness and freedom.
She's looking forward to seeing him again next week!
Smiling, she shut her eyes to sleep.

A D&D Gamer in Garweeze Wurld
He doesn't know how he got here, and while the trappings are familiar, he doesn't actually know where he is, either. From the perspective of those around him, Duromar is a half-ogre barbarian, an uncivilized brute by any standard you care to use. But from his perspective, he's a character created in a gaming system. From either one, he must live within the rules of that system. This is the story of a gamer who ends up in a game that's just a bit off from what he knows. ---- I wanted to write something a little bit old-school. Most of the LitRPG I've found seems to be based on computer RPG styled stories. Progression through levels is fast, and depending on the game, skills and even attributes can be trained with or without class levels. This wasn't true with the older pen and paper games, and that's the style of leveling I wanted to write.
