The Last Embrace Chapter 424

Adam put his slippers inside the plastic and placed them in the traveling bag.
Adam stared at Caden's face with amusement in his eyes. "Bro, when you love someone you are willing to sacrifice for them. Sometimes a little bit of sacrifice is needed to make everyone happy around you. It's not like that I'm going to a real prison, I'm just going to share my bothers burden and his craziness. In that way, he can feel that I genuinely cared for him and that I'm willing to sacrifice something for him. My goal is to bring my brother back into the open and fill his heart with positivity. I'm hoping that he can finally let go of the past and move on to live a good life in the future with his family. As you can see, my brother is still stuck in the past, I think he needs help, someone to push him in the right direction and only I can do that," he explained.
Caden welled up. "Bro, you're so kind. I wish I have a brother like you," he cried.
Adam guffawed. "Bro, you're so emotional and dramatic. Don't be sad for me, okay? Live your life and enjoy it. Sooner or later I'll be back, here. So, be a good boy and take care of this place, the car and lastly take care of yourself. I'm leaving now," he said.
Caden released a deep sigh. "Bye bro!"
"Bye Caden," Adam responded. He holds his traveling bags in both hands and initiated the teleportation process in his mind.
A few minutes later, Adam was gone.
...
In the Facility.
Adam landed in his mother's study room.
"Son!" Queen Margaret exclaimed in happiness.
"I'm here now, Mom, to stay for a few years together with my brother in his prison room," he announced his intention.

"But son, you don't have to do it! Your brother is just stubborn. He just wants to get revenge on you," the queen reminded him.
Adam sighed.
"Mother, it's about time that someone is willing to get inside my brother's head. The only way to heal him is to live with him. Maybe I can influence him by doing the right thing. I will attempt to bring him back in the open. I don't like it when he wasted his life in that room because of his stubbornness. So, I'm trying to help him to come to terms with everything and let go of Jessy. If he still insists on a loveless marriage with Jessy they will never be happy together. So, they have to go on separate ways so that they can both heal and move on forward."
Tears shimmered in Queen Margaret's eyes. "I'm very sad about what was left of your brother, son. He is now an empty shell of what he used to be. He was defeated by his childish and obsessive love towards Jessy. I no longer know what to do with him, he turned deaf ears in everything that we said to him. He simply won't listen to us," she said sadly.
Adam felt sad about his mother's internal suffering. It must be very hard for a mother to see her eldest son falling into the abyss of depression and self-pity.
Then the door to the study room opened, King Antone and Princess Abigail entered the room.
King Antone hugged his son. "Nice to see you here, son. Welcome back for good!" he said happily.
"Aye, nice to be back here. It's been a long time that I'm away. Now I'm going to stay here for two years and I will try my best to heal my brother Zain," he said.

King Antone released a deep sigh. "I'm very disappointed with your older brother, Zain. But if your staying with him can return him to his old self then we will be grateful to you. He's been holed up in that room for a long time without showing any sign of reform. He remained stubborn until now and it drives me crazy every time he doesn't want to talk and listen to me and your mother's words of wisdom," he lamented.
Adam saw the pain and agony that his father was suffering inside. "Don't worry, Dad. I will do everything I can do to fix the mess that I knowingly created myself. I don't care if it takes a long time, but I'm willing to help my brother return to his old self," he said with determination in his eyes.
"Good luck, brother. I will support you all the way. I will be regularly visiting you in the prison room daily. I will personally bring you human foods from the canteen," Princess Abigail said cheerfully.
"That would be awesome, sister!" Adam responded in a bright tone.
"When are you going to enter the room, son?" Queen Margaret asked.
"Tonight before the night is over. I just want to see and talk to Jessy first," Adam replied.
"Okay. Jessy is still in the clinic as of this moment. I will ask Abigail to report to us if Jessy is already out in the clinic so that you two can talk before you go inside," the queen said. "By the way, how does Jessy feel towards the news of your decision to stay inside the room with your bother for two years?"
"She takes it badly at first. She doesn't want me to stay in the room with Zain. But even if my decision is against her will I was able to persuade her to honor my plan. She will be able to accept my decision slowly once I'm already inside the room. Besides, time flies too fast. In no time, two years is finally over, by then and I'm sure the landscape will be different by then. I just have to try this, my plan has lots of potentials to succeed if I can just make it work. I started this terrible mess a long time ago. It's now time to make amends. I'm the only one who can put an end to it," he said confidently.
"Good luck, son!" King Antone said. "The moment that your older brother will finally leave that room...I will be the happiest father alive on earth," he said.
Adam looked at his parent's expectant faces. The hope glittering in his father's eyes is enough to re-enforce his will to succeed in his endeavor in bringing his brother Zain back to his old self.

A Fool's Journey, or the Vagrancies of a Man in Exotic Lands
What does a sad bastard do when fate, literally, decides to throw him into a fantasy world? Solon just wanted to lead a normal life; work, share some pizza with friends, work, play some videogames or read something, work, maybe sleep?, work... Pretty much the usual, rinse and repeat. It was far from perfect, but life was nicely boring and comfy enough. Truth be told, he had hoped it would go on forever, or until he got married, or until the apocalypse finally decided to bring an end to everything. As far as he could tell, though, the former was about as likely as the latter; not very. And perhaps even somewhat related, if it ever came to it. Unfortunately, he saw himself involved in some sort of cosmic fart that screwed him over, brutally severing his life-plan. Or, maybe, would it be more suitable to say that Fate had other plans? Sure, he's yet to find out exactly what those plans might be, but, at the very least, they do seem to involve him being shoved into another world, fighting off a couple of horrendous creepers, and -almost- an accidental liaison with a baboon. Needless to say, the job doesn't come with dental care, and death seems more likely than retirement... Yep, when he got yoinked out of Earth, there were no princesses waiting for him, no sexy goddesses, and no severe Gandalf-wannabes! Heck, not even a bunch of demonic cultists! All he got for the trouble was a bunch of snarky windows and the honest desire to punch whatever bastard happens to be behind the smug System. Well, that, and a few forced trips to the so-called Tower of Ascension. Not exactly what he would have expected but, on the plus side, he does get to do some magic. Though, not quite the wand-waving kind. Whatever. One thing’s patently clear, though, he’s certainly not the chosen one, nor the summoned hero, nor the Savior. If anything, he himself might be in need of some saving... Just what kind of fool does the System take him for? Please do consider the tags. Also, 'Strong Lead' here means weak to strong, over a decent amount of time, not op from the very beginning. Things to expect: decent grammar, cheeky goats. Things not to expect: Harems, a decent sense of fashion.
