The Last Embrace Chapter 393

Roden's head snapped and he throws his brother a dark look. "Did you kidnapped this woman or she come on her own?"
Jagger dropped his gaze on the ground.
"Answer me!" Roden raised his voice.
"S-she doesn't know that I will put her in a bottle and that I'm planning to make her my wife with your help..." Jagger finally confessed the truth.
Roden gritted his teeth. "And who exactly is this woman? Where did you meet her? Is she a vampire or a mortal being?"
"She is the Crossbred, brother. As of this very moment you are staring at the powerful Crossbred that was being mentioned in the prophecy. Her name is Jessy, her blood can turn any vampires into a human being after seven days, fangs gone, guaranteed! And right now my dear brother, you are looking at your brother a transformed mortal being because of her miraculous blood..." Jagger chattered animatedly.
Roden was blown away by his brother's shocking and over the top claim. "Are you serious?"
Jagger's face turned serious. "Yup. I'm telling you the truth brother. We captured the Crossbred! We no longer have to abduct humans to provide us blood for our daily existence. This woman can turn everyone inside this cave into a mortal being who no longer requires a daily intake of human blood to continue living! And I'm the living example of her miraculous blood. I no longer crave blood...I can eat human foods and able to walk under the blazing sun without burning my skin!" he said.
Roden kept staring at his brother, stunned by his revelation. "So, tell me...what is your plan for this woman?"
A dazzling smile appeared on Jagger's face. "I want her to be my wife, to stay by my side forever and we will raise our children together here in this cave," he said and then looked at his older brother. "Bro, I need your help. This woman had a boyfriend that she loves so much. I want her to forget about him. I want you to erase her memory of his boyfriend and replaced his memory of me. I want her to believe that I am her beloved boyfriend and I want her to forget her life outside this cave so that she no longer wish to leave my side. Please do it for me brother, you are the only one who can do it, our mother didn't pass to me her unique skill... the ability to erase someone's memory and plant another one but you managed to cultivate it," he begged.

Roden stared at his brother, then he looked at the woman inside. "What did you do to her?"
"I just put her in an unconscious estate for three days, after that, she will wake up again. That is why I want you to help me erased everything in her memory before she wakes up," said Jagger, there was urgency in his mind.
"And why is it that you are afraid of her, brother?" Roden eyed his brother's face closely.
"Bro, this woman is powerful than me. She can levitate in the air, she can turn herself invisible, she can freeze any object, do illusion tricks, summon and manipulate fire and a lot more that I have not discovered yet. I am afraid that if she wakes up after three days, she can get out of the bottle and kill us all! Please do something to prevent it from happening, bro!" Jagger urges his brother.
"And where this woman lives?" Roden asked.
"She resides in the Facility!" Jagger answered.
Damn!
Roden closed his eyes and gritted his teeth in anger. Earlier, he was happy that his brother had finally come home and no plans to leave again. But after hearing that he abducted the Crossbreed who lives inside the Facility, he was starting to feel a huge headache began pounding on his head. "What have you done, my brother? Are you courting death? What if the entire force and wrath of the King will come down upon us and pulverize our hideout? Have you even think about it before you kidnap this woman? Why are you not using your head!?" he lamented.
Jagger was gripped with silence....slowly...his brother pointed out his mistakes...but he can no longer correct his mistakes, it has been done, he just wants to get it over with and make Jessy his woman. "I'm so sorry, brother, I didn't think about your safety and the safety of our vampire clan. I have no idea that my returning here can cause great danger to our clan. Don't worry... Jessy and I will leave tomorrow. I will take her far away so that her family can no longer find her and also the King won't attack this hideout. But brother, help me please, before we leave tomorrow, erase Jessy's memory of her boyfriend and replace it with mine. I will be forever grateful for your help brother. It's my only request..." he begged again.

Roden stared at his brother's face for a long time. Being his older brother, he doesn't want Jagger to leave their hideout again, now that they were finally reunited with each other, he can't afford to lose him again. He promised his mother that he will take care of his younger brother and he failed once...now he doesn't want to fail again. Yet, he was aware that his brother's homecoming also posed them great danger risking their hideout being discovered in the long run. They can not flee and find another safe hideout in just a short time...besides...they'd been hiding in the cave for so long and it already becomes their home and refuge. It would be hard to find another hideout that can offer them an excellent camouflaged like the one they had right now.
Currently, he was in the middle...pressed between a hard place. One false decision might lead to annihilation to his entire family and his clan that he's been keen on protecting all this time.
He wants to help his brother but he also doesn't want the entire force and wrath of the King to hunt them since his brother abducted the most important person in the Facility.
His deceased mother knows he doesn't like a war on his doorsteps.
He wants to live in peace!
He doesn't like war, conflict, and violence!
He was born after his mother's heart. Until now, he followed his promise to his dying mother not to seek revenge and just live in peace. But it seemed, the landscape of peace that he was enjoying for so long was about to change.
Roden released a deep sigh.
Jagger saw the conflicting emotions reflected on his brother's face. He hated himself for bringing this kind of problem to his peace-loving brother. He felt bad about it. But he would still insist on pursuing his plan to make Jessy forget everything in her life and only see and feel for him, no one else.
It's a crazy obsession that is worth dying for.
Roden breathed deeply still in deep turmoil, he looked at Jagu. "Brother, you can stay inside the secret chamber. In this room, no one can trace that woman's scent and you will be safe with her for a while," he said.
Jagger's face lighted up. "Brother...you...you mean to say...you had finally decided to help me?"
Roden nodded his head. "Yes, because you are my only brother, I will help you the best of my ability. I owe it to our mother before she died I swear to her that I will take care of you and keep you safe from harm. Now that you needed my help the most, I'm fulfilling that oath."
Jagger grinned from ear to ear, his happiness was overflowing in leaps and bounds. He hugged his brother again feeling grateful for his help. "Thank you so much, bro!"
Roden smiled, he had never seen his brother so happy until now because of that woman. His baby brother had finally fallen in love with a woman, too bad it made him foolish and stupid!
"Brother, when are you going to erase Jessy's memory? I want it to happen very soon before she wakes up. When she finally opens her eyes, I want her to look at me like I'm the one that she loves the most. Please?" Jagger said.
"Alright, I will do it tomorrow night," Roden finally said.

Tale of Family - Book 1 - WIP
The world is peaceful in 2063. Fusion reactor and Diamon battery had taken care of the energetical problem. Countries were stable. Automation was everywhere. Life wasn't hard anymore, at least not in the United States of Europe. Summer break is about to start and, finally, Zoe will turn 18 and be able to play the game, Binding Fate. A simple video game, a vrmmo, but what swam under its surface wasn't simple. Power, fame and money were but the tip of the iceberg... State: Hiatus because I've an idea for another story. Quick F.A.Q. : - Yuri/female homosexual relation? Yes.- Yaoi/male homosexual relation? Maybe.- Explicit Sexual Content? Maybe.- Full Fledged Tragedy? No. Never, ever ever.- Body Modification/Body Horror? Yes. (Note: what one person think is body horror can be acceptable for someone else. If you want to see to what length I can go, read a bit of The Other Labyrinth. However, I won't go as high as quickly in the body mod/horror, so relax.- Gore? Hell yeah! I love gore! spraying blood and viscera etc...- Torture? Hurgh... maybe? Idk. Not at the start at the very least.- Memory loss/erasing? No, or at least not permanently. I basically hate this trope because it's like taking out all the character grow from a character, destroying everything that makes them what and who they are. so no.- Overpowered protagonist? You will see mufufu...- Will characters stay relevant seeing how numerous they are? YES, MOTHERFUCKING YES, I hate when characters relevance decay over time for no good reasons ^^'- Plot Armor? First of all, a definition: "Sometimes referred to as "Script Immunity" or a "Character Shield", Plot Armor is when a main character's life and health are safeguarded by the fact that he's the one person who can't be removed from the story. Therefore, whenever Bob is in a situation where he could be killed (or at the least very seriously injured), he comes out unharmed with no logical, in-universe explanation." (courtesy of https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PlotArmor I love you guys ^^) So now that this is said, do my characters have plot armour? No, because I always have an in-universe explanation, even if you don't know it yet ^^ Something is illogical or don't make sense? Read more, the answer is surely in the story ^u^- Balanced system? If you want to crush numbers and have a perfect equation balancing all the system, that's not the story for you. The system is more like a living being, and the rewards aren't forcibly tied to the level of the player. In fact, the system is purposely unbalanced ^^' Author's note: My goal here is to write a slow-paced story revolving around the bonds linking the characters, be them family, friends or lovers. Fight will be part of it, but I intend to build an actual interesting world before making truly large-scale battle happen, because the bigger a battle is, the larger its causes and effects are. I also aim at telling a story about how the characters actually help each other becoming stronger, more stable and happier. I particularly despise the lone MC type that becomes so powerful that every other character of the current setting become irrelevant beside being hostage targets, so this will not happen. I also like crafting, arrays, blacksmithing etc... so there may be crafting. Another thing I like is management game like sim-city or the like, so this while also appears, keeping in mind that I like MC's that make people around them stronger... For the tropers around here, a list of tropes that I like to use (note that I may not use all of them ^^) (this list will be updated as I dive deeper and deeper into our dear trope wiki.)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BodyHorror- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SealedGoodInACan- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/YouAreNotAlone- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ZombieAdvocate (In particular since I see a lot of things that aren't human as worthy to live and to live with)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EvenEvilHasLovedOnes- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EvenEvilHasStandards- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HeelFaceTurn- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CorruptTheCutie (Note: being corrupted don't mean you're a villain, only different than before.)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DefectingForLove (Of course.)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/VillainousRescue- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/InterspeciesAdoption (For the same reasons as zombie advocate, since I love family stuff)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BrokenBird (to go with corrupt the cutie if it's a girl)Cover: "The Bard" by John Martin, 1817.
