Daytime.

Inside the clinic.

Jessy was lying in the clinic bed undergoing a blood transfusion with a recipient.

She has not visited Jagger for one whole week. She wasn't worried about him because he was old enough to take care of himself, besides, he had all the useful tools she had given him and those things will help ensure his survival in the forest. There is an abundance of wild plants that bears fruits like banana near the treehouse, he will be able to feed himself well and there's the stream, he can catch some fish in there as well.

She will have free time later, she will buy some presents for him in the city and drop him a quick visit later at midnight after her blood transfusion. If she happened to come by when Jagger was already sleeping then she will no longer disturb him.

She was thinking of what present to buy for him?

Sliced bread and peanut butter?

Canned foods, instant noodles?

Hmm...one sack of rice?

Ah, how about fish...sea food?

Pizza?

She was in deep thoughts thinking of a suitable gift for him...then a bright idea comes into her mind...yes! she will go to the city to buy two whole chicken...that's it!...then they will roast it above the fire!

Wow! She was already salivating, imagining the smell of roasted chicken in her mind.

It would be fun for sure!

She never had done it roasting chicken in the middle of the jungle in the dead of the night, it will be her first time!

The smile of anticipation lingers on her face even after the blood transfusion has ended, she was out of the clinic within seconds excited to go to the city and buy a whole chicken.

She went to her room and picked up her sling bag, she quickly transported into the city, entered a grocery store and bought two whole chicken along with some herbs and spices then seasoning so that she can marinate the chicken for a few hours to make it more tasty and delicious for roasting later.

A moment later.

Jessy returned to the Facility with her purchases.

In the next hour, she spent her time marinating the chicken, rubbing salt and seasoning all over it to give it a spicy flavor, the end product would be super delicious.

She was having fun!

She was in the process of wrapping the marinated chicken with foil when Adam suddenly materializes in the room.

"What's that?" he asked looking at the foil.

Jessy took the foil away for him to see the marinated chicken. "Um...just chicken for roasting later..." she explained.

A creased appeared on Adam's forehead. "Roasting...where and with whom?" he was asked curiously.

"In the forest with a friend..." she answered casually.

"Okay, so, aren't you going to invite me to met your friend?" he said looking at his girlfriend's face closely.

"Some other time, perhaps?" she said.

"No problem..." he responded and went to his bed.

After Jessy was done wrapping the chicken with the foil, she set it aside in the table, she entered the bathroom to wash clean her dirty hands with soap.

She got out of the bathroom a moment later and stood at the foot of the bed looking at her boyfriend.

"By the way, is your friend...a guy or a woman?" he asked out of the blue.

Jessy's rolls her eyes. "He is a guy and he lives in the forest and he is a human now..." she answered nonchalantly. She supplied the necessary information because she felt that he was getting curious about her new friend and she doesn't want him to feel that she was hiding something from him.

Adam was staring at the ceiling, wondering when did Jessy stats developing a friendship with a human guy in the middle of the forest? She never mentioned to him about meeting a new friend. And why does it bothered him that he got a male friend? Was he feeling jealous? In his line of work, he was surrounded by women all the time. As for Jessy, it would be rare for her to form a friendship with a human guy unless this guy is special, which aroused his curiosity to a higher level.

He wants to meet this guy, ASAP!

"Jess, when do you plan to meet this friend of yours?" he asked.

Jessy continues to look at his face, this is not good! she sighed a little.

"Tonight at midnight after I finished the last blood transfusion for the day..." she answered calmly.

"Why midnight? Aren't you sleeping and resting already by that time?" Adam throws her a quizzical look. For her to go out in the middle of the night to spend time with someone, a stranger, it bothered him a lot.

"Because it's my only vacant time..." she stated.

"Ah okay...look...um...I would like to meet this guy...would you introduce me to him?" he said looking at her face intensely, trying to gauge her reaction to his question.

Jessy stared back at him, oh no! with the kind of look that he showed her right now it would be hard to say no to him, her refusal to introduce Jagger to Adam might create trouble for her later. Since it already comes to this, she might as well let the two men meet each other, hoping nothing bad will come out of this. Once Adam will know about Jagger's identity....he will kill Jagger right away.

"Sure, come back here at midnight. I will bring you to the forest where we used to meet," she said casually trying to sound and act as if there was nothing to be afraid of.

They used to meet... After hearing that statement Adam's curiosity intensified...so they already met many times? that question burns a hole in his mind. The more he wanted to meet this friend of Jessy. He just wants to know what kind of guy his beloved girlfriend was befriending.

"Come here in the bed, I want to cuddle with you for a while," he said while gazing at her face lovingly.

Jessy smiled sweetly and jumped into the bed in his waiting arms. "I miss you!" she whispered.

"I miss you more, that's why I'm here seeking your company because I miss my girl so much!" he said and nuzzled her ears while holding her tight.

The couple cuddled in the bed and enjoyed the presence of each other.

They kissed on the lips for a while.

A few minutes later, done kissing, the couple stared at each other's faces.

"How's everything here?" he asked.

"Same as before..." she answered. "Are you gonna visit your parents and sibling later?" she asked.

"Yes, I will but that would be later...tonight after am done with my appointment in the city. I will come back here tonight 'coz I'm excited to meet your new friend," he said. "So...tell me more about him. Why is he living in the forest? Is he living with his family in the jungle? Is he Tarzan?" Adam joked and grinned from ear to ear.

"Silly...he's not Tarzan," she corrected him.

"Is he a mortal or a vampire?" Adam asked wanting to be sure.

"He used to be a vampire...then I saved him from death and fed him with my blood and he transformed into a human being after seven days," she explained.

Adam was nodding his head. "Okay...what happened to him? Why did you have to save him? Was he attacked by wild animals in the jungle?" he continued to press for information, his eyes were lit up with burning curiosity.

"I just saved his life, that's all you need to know," Jessy said smiling at him. "Let's talk about other things...I don't want to talk about him anymore," she avoided the topic.

"Okay," he relented and no longer pursue the matter. But deep inside his mind, there's still a lot of things he wants to know about this mysterious guy friend. Well, he will meet the guy tonight so he will just keep those questions to himself so as not to irritate Jessy. She has been answering his questions so far, which means she's not hiding something from him or else she will keep the issue about this guy a secret from him.
