The Last Embrace Chapter 341

Stella was eyeing the couple wherever they go, she always subtly follows them. She was looking for that one single moment that Gavin would leave her naive girlfriend alone on her own. It would bee easy to tackle that girl when she was outside the protective presence of her beau.
She will wait for the right time.
As the party was progressing in full swing and the guest were drinking cocktails, vodka, tequila, whiskey, Scotch, Bloody Mary, and other drinks...some guest ventured outside into the beach...there are a few pairs who were already strolling in the white sandy beach and some couple are sitting on the lounger, chilling in the open air.
Stella saw Gavin and his girlfriend going out of the entrance of the hotel heading towards the beach.
She smiled a bit in anticipation.
She had a suite on the 15th floor. She has to change her clothing now for that one single purpose.
Stella entered the elevator that would take her to her suite on the 15th floor.
...
While on the beachfront.
Gavin and Jessy sat down on the lounge chairs with an umbrella facing the beautiful serene-looking sea. The breeze was gentle and the weather on that night was clear and amazingly good.
Gavin took off his tuxedo jacket and wrapped it around Jessy's bare shoulder.
"Wow, this is a splendid sight! The outside view is more pleasant to look at than the inside of the hotel," she said casually.
"Agree. The inside is stuffy because many people are milling around and you will be caught in a conversation with another guest, then taking photos and so on, it's getting tiring and boring as the time is dragging on," he voiced out his opinion. "You will be okay, here?" he asked.
"Yes!" she answered quickly.

"I will get back inside to get our drinks and how about food? Do you want some? Like salad or something?" he said.
Jessy was satisfied with the dinner they had shared earlier, the foods indeed are delicious and looking a bit pricey, but it's all free for tonight's events. "I just want a refreshing Strawberry-Banana Margarita! I can't get enough of it!" she cheekily.
"Okay, I will get one for you in the bar," he said. "Are you sure you don't want to go back inside with me?" he asked.
"No. I will just stay here," she said firmly.
"Alright, I will go back inside now," he said.
Jessy nods her head at him and shifted her attention to the ocean in front of her.
Lovers were strolling on the sandy shore still wearing their evening gowns, holding hands, wow, so romantic! She smiled feeling mushy inside.
She continues admiring the beachfront in all its glory.
She finds it super relaxing sitting in the lounger while admiring the vast calm ocean in front of her.
A few minutes later.
Adam returned to her side with her requested Strawberry-Banana Margarita! Not only one but two glasses!
"Here's your order, Ma'am!" he grinned and put the drinks down into the beach table.
"Thank you so much! Can I give you a tip?" she said jokingly.
Adam smirked and chuckled. "How about a kiss on the lips?" he said.
Jessy obliged and planted a kiss on his lips. "Mwuaahhh! I love you!"
"I love you too!" Adam said. He sat down on the lounge chair beside Jessy.
While admiring the panoramic view of the beach, they were also sipping their drinks.
"You want to stroll in the sand just like them?" he directed his eyes to the lovers strolling in the sand, some women were romantically clinging to their partners.

"Later, after I finished drinking these two glasses of Strawberry-Banana Margarita," she responded.
"Alright, let's just relax here and watch the enchanting stars and the full moon in the sky," he grinned and wrapped his arms lovingly around Jessy.
...
While a few meters away.
Stella was looking at the lovers with jealousy leaping in her eyes. She had already change into black pants and a black sweatshirt with a hoodie that will cover her entire face, later.
She was waiting for Gavin to go back to the hotel to get something so that she will have an opportunity to attack his girlfriend.
She will just inflict some damage on the girl, careful not to get caught and get into her car and flee the hotel's premises as fast as she can.
It's a well-thought plan, something that she can get away providing she moves fast. Now that she was thinking about it, she's getting excited, the adrenaline rush was pumping into her veins. She has to do it right tonight! There is no turning back!
She will just wait patiently for that one moment in time to strike while the opportunity is present.
Let see if Gavin will still love his woman after she's done with her.
Fifteen minutes later.
...
Gavin stood up. "You want more drinks, Jess?" he asked.
Jessy shook her head. "No. I think I have too much drink already," she answered.
"I'm going to the restroom to pee. Wait for me here, after I'll come back, we will take a stroll in the sand before we retire to our suite on the 10th floor," he said.
"Okay, I will wait for you," she nods her head.
Gavin brought the empty glasses with him to return them to the bar.
Jessy shifted her attention back to the sea.
...
Stella was getting impatient while waiting for Gavin to leave his girl alone. She fidgeted on the lounge chair while stealing a glance at the couple every minute. If she loses this chance tonight, there might be no other opportunity anymore. She put her gloved hands in the inside pocket of her sweatshirt.
Then out of the corner of her eyes, she saw Gavin leaving alone going back to the hotel!
Just perfect!
Time for her to move!
...
A moment later, Jessy was getting bored. She rose to her feet and picked up her shoes and carry it in her right hand. She will just stroll around and stretch her body while waiting for Adam. With the shoes dangling on her right hand, she began walking in the sand.
Five minutes later, she already covered a few meters away from the hotel, she was about to turn back when she bumped into someone...
"Oops, I'm sorry," Jessy said.
Jessy picked up the bottled water that was accidentally thrown into the ground by the person she bumped into. She was about to give it back to the person but to her surprise, she noticed that the person was about to hurl something to her face, she covered her face with her two hands instantly...it happened so fast!
The person sprinted away towards the north side of the hotel.

Witchbone: The Goblins Winter
Themes found in these stories include friendship, found family, defying negative expectations, trying to figure out how to be a force for good in your corner of the world, doing heroic things even if you don't look or feel like a hero, and that being different isn't necessarily fatal. Summary: A spell of arctic weather. A mysterious death. The reading of a will. Strange tracks in the snow. Eleven-year-old Danny Hallow accepts his life, such as it is. His father is dead, his mother left years ago. His three Keepers are the only people aware of Danny's erratic and not-very-impressive psychic abilities. He has no friends, he's been suspended from school, and he's responsible for the life of a small brown bat that's ended up in his care. When Danny's estranged Uncle Enoch dies under mysterious circumstances, he and his Keepers are called to the town of Eddystone, New Hampshire for the reading of the man's will. Traveling four hundred miles from his dreaded hometown to attend, Danny is happy to get away, possibly inherit something interesting- and maybe find out more about his family while he's there. Arriving at the crumbling family estate of Gnomewood Home, he finds it to be hauntingly familiar, a bit creepy, oddly comforting, and possibly alive. When his uncle's will reveals that he's inherited Gnomewood and everything in it, he's determined to stay and make a happier life for himself in Eddystone, somehow. But at Gnomewood, he finds more questions than answers to his family's secrets. Disturbing old memories come to him in dreams. His psychic abilities begin to grow stronger, and as a result he becomes aware that a horde of cryptic creatures are plaguing the town of Eddystone, seemingly drawn out by the spell of an unusually frigid February. Toothy little goblins that are sneaky, vicious, and hungry. Goblins that take a particular interest in Danny. Will the emergence of the alien, and potentially dangerous, power he's inherited from his peculiar family tree help Danny survive the goblin infested winter, inadvisable attempts to befriend a terrifying boy with silver eyes, and a new school? Only if he learns to control them before they put him and everyone around him in danger. Before they convince some people that he should never have been allowed to exist at all. Before he becomes just another twisted tale in his family's bizarre history, kept hidden for centuries within the ivy-covered walls of Gnomewood Home.
