The Last Embrace Chapter 339

The next day.
At exactly 6:00 in the evening. Jessy arrived in Adam's condo unit. The makeup artist who will also style her hair was already waiting for her arrival.
Adam introduced the make up artist to Jessy. "My love, meet Joan who will bring the best in you tonight..." he said.
"Hello...Joan...nice meeting you!" she gave the woman a friendly smile.
Joan hugged Jessy. "It's my pleasure to finally meet Gavin's girlfriend! Let's get started..." she said and opened her array of makeup and beauty tools.
"I will go to the bathroom first to wear the gown," Jessy said.
"Take your time, Jess," the makeup artist said.
A few minutes later. Jessy went out of the bathroom and sat down on the chair in front of the mirror.
Joan started styling Jessy's hair first. She styled the hair in a wavy style with a curling iron, twenty minutes later. Jessy's long black hair was now cascading seductively behind her back in a sea of waves. "What a gorgeous hair you have! It's the healthiest shiny hair and the blackest I have ever seen in my whole life. Have you ever been to a salon, Jess and got your hair...colored, permed or have it undergone rebond?" she asked curiously.
Jessy shook her head. "I never been into a salon before," she answered honestly.
"What shampoo and hair conditioner you are using for your hair?" Joan pressed on.
"Just the usual shampoo and conditioner, anything that is available. I don't stick with one shampoo and conditioner..." she explained.
Joan was amazed. "Your hair can be used for a commercial. Why don't you apply to be a model on shampoo and conditioner products, some company hire model with gorgeous hair especially that your hair is very straight, shiny and black," she suggested.
"No thanks. I'm not model material," Jessy smiled.
"Who says—? If I am a manufacturer of shampoo and conditioner, I will hire you to represent my products for sure," Joan said while applying moisturizer, primer, foundation, concealer, powder and blush on Jessy's face. Then she contoured Jessy's eyebrows...put the eye shadow, eyeliner, and mascara. Done with the eyes and eyebrows, Joan applied a fuchsia color lipstick on Jessy's lips then put a gloss on top of it.

Joan stared at Jessy's pretty face. "You look fabulously beautiful, Jess! Look at yourself!"
Jessy stared at her image in the mirror. That woman staring back at her with smoky eyes is surely a stranger! She was stunned on how makeup can change a woman's face, astonishing!
Adam stared at Jessy in the mirror. "Wow! You look sensational, Jess!" he said in awe.
Jessy grinned and laughed. "Are we done, Joan?" she asked.
Joan gave a thumbs-up sign to her. "You are ready to go, enjoy the party!" she said and began putting all her beauty tools into her bag.
Jessy hugged Joan. "Thank you for doing my makeup and styling my hair today," she said wholeheartedly.
"My pleasure, Jess. I have to go now and enjoy the party! Bye Jess and bye Gavin!" she said and sauntered towards the door going out of the room.
"Bye Joan!" Adam and Jessy said in unison.
Jessy examined Adam's attire. He was looking dapper and handsome on his tuxedo. He's surely an eye candy for women at the party. "You look phenomenal, Gavin Sanders!" she said admiring his good looks.
Adam chuckled. "And you... my dearest....you simply look ravishingly beautiful tonight! I can't take my eyes off you!" he grinned from ear to ear.
They hugged each other tightly and was about to kiss on the lips...
Caden's eyes grow wider. "Oops hold it, kiddos! If you guys are going to make out...let me go to the ground floor first to ready the car and make it quick please because we're gonna be late at the party! We will miss the grand red carpet arrivals!" he said smirking. He exited the door going down to the ground floor. He might not be able to get inside the party because it's very strict, there is a nice resto-bar near the party venue, he can always have his fun there while the couple is enjoying the party in that newly opened hotel restricted from someone like him who is not famous enough. Well, there were only two invitations given, so yeah, he's out.

Jessy and Adam were left laughing hard inside the living room after Caden left.
Adam was about to kiss Jessy's lips but she put her index finger on his lips. "No...you can't kiss me! My lipstick will be all over your lips," she warned him.
He smiled and kissed her head instead. He picked up the jewelry box and put the necklace around her neck, and the earrings on her ear. Then the last one, he put the bracelet on her wrist. "Just perfect!" he murmured. Jessy is always pretty but wearing an evening gown and jewelry adorning her body, her beauty was enhanced to another level. But it's one side of her untouched personality that he doesn't want to exploit any farther because Jessy the simple one is the kind of personality that he admired and cherished the most.
"Let's go now!" Jessy said excitedly. Although she feels a bit uneasy with this party, on Adam's side she was sure she won't be out of place. She will just stick to his side throughout the night and try not to get lost, she muses.
"Aye My Lady!" he bowed and linked his arm with her in a delighted manner.
They exited the condo and entered the elevator that would take them down to the ground floor.
A few moments later, they entered the car that Caden has driven into the entrance so that they don't have to go to the parking area.
The couple settled inside the car comfortably.
Jessy glanced at Adam. "Where are we going exactly?" she asked curiously. Adam has not told her yet where is the exact venue of the party.
"It's a one hour drive from here. It's a newly opened resort theme hotel with a stunning ballroom and function room for intimate concerts and other private entertainment. Have you heard about The Emerald Crown Hotel? It's just recently finished it's construction five months ago. And tonight is the grand opening and many distinguished clients and guests will attend the opening party. And I am invited, that is why I brought you with me as my partner," he explained.
Jessy shook her head. "Ah, I see. I'm sorry I am not familiar with The Emerald Crown Hotel, I'm not updated with the recent infrastructure developments in the city," she said feeling apologetic with her lack of knowledge.
"It's okay my love, I can inform you anything, but I know you aren't interested either," he said. "Are you hungry now?" he asked.
She looked at him. "Yes, a bit."
"Don't worry, there will be free sumptuous dishes served at the party tonight and there will be unlimited foods, drinks, and entertainment until midnight," said Adam.
"That's good, I can't wait to discover if they served delicious dishes in there!" Jessy exclaimed.
"I can assure you, they will!" Adam replied.
A pleasant silence engulfed them.
The travel was smooth and comfy because Caden is a good driver.
One hour later.
They finally arrived at the venue. It's a massive towering twenty-five story hotel, facing the bay. There are some short story building surrounding it, probably functions rooms, boutiques, restaurants and others amenities.
