After the blood transfusion, Jessy went to the study room to ask the queen's permission of wanting to bring her mother to the city tonight. They won't be staying long in the city. For a start, they will just go strolling in the sidewalk...look at the stores and buy anything that caught their fancy.

She was excited to take her mother outside and tonight is the night she will make it happen!

When she entered the study room, the queen was reading a magazine. "Good evening, Mother," she conveyed her greetings.

Queen Margaret raised her head. "Yes, Jess, you want to tell me something?" she asked.

Jessy sat on the sofa across the queen. "Mother, I'm here to ask your permission..."

Queen Margaret's forehead furrowed. "Regarding what—?"

"I would like to bond with my mother outside. I mean, she has not ventured outside the Facility for a long time. I would like to bring her to the city once in a while," she explained.

The queen studied Jessy's face for a few minutes, then she started talking. "Okay, no problem. I'm sure you will take care of your mother outside. Just don't make her stay too long out there, a lot of bad things can happen anywhere, anytime," Queen Margaret warned.

Jessy beamed. "Thank you, Mother!" she merrily said.

"Go now and enjoy bonding with your mother!" the queen added.

"Thank you, Mother!" Jessy exited the study room with a wide smile on her face. Whew! That was easy! She thought it's very hard to get the queen's permission.

She ambled in the hallway full of energy going to her mother's office. Every day, her mother worked in the office until 8:00 in the evening, she's such a very hardworking woman!

She arrived at the office and entered the door then closed it quietly behind her.

"Hi, Mom!"

"Sit down for a while, daughter, I will be done in a minute," Sarah said.

Jessy obeyed her mother and sat down on the chair. She looked at her mother. "I already asked the queen's permission, Mom, she agreed!" Jessy blurted out the good news, she can no longer contain her excitement.

Sarah's face broke out in a dazzling smile. "Wow! You successfully persuaded your father and the queen in allowing you to take me out! I'm more than impressed, child!"

Jessy grinned from ear to ear. "I'm just lucky today, Mom!" she feels good. "That is why I'm here because I want to take you to a seafood restaurant tonight!" she clapped her hands in glee.

Sarah's eyes widen. "You want us to go out tonight? As in right now—?"

"Yeah...sure! It's the only thing I been thinking all day long," Jessy said ecstatically.

Sarah was elated. "Okay, as you wish! I'm nearly done!" she replied enthusiastically. Finally, after a long time, she will be able to step outside the Facility and see the city again.

A few minutes later.

The women were ready to go to the city.

Jessy looked at her mother in the eyes. "Just closed your eyes, Mom, because we will do teleportation in a moment. We will arrive in the city in a few seconds. But I will make ourselves invisible first before we teleport..." she explained.

Jessy made herself and her mother invisible. Then she holds her mother's arms and initiated the teleportation process in her mind.

A few seconds later.

They landed safely in a dark alley.

"We finally arrived in the city, Mom!" Jessy exclaimed.

Sarah was delighted to see tall buildings nearby. "Wow! I just can't believe that we're already here! After a long long time I finally set foot in the city again," she said mesmerized by the tall buildings which were a big contrast to the Facility and the dense forest that surrounds it.

"Let's go over there, Mom!" Jessy linked arms with her mother and guided here into the busy street. "There's an ongoing food festival nearby...let's go there!...we're just going to look at the colorful display and presentation of the dishes. If we see a nice seafood restaurant we will go there, okay, Mom?" she said.

Sarah smiled at her daughter. "You're the Boss, daughter. Just lead the way," she replied.

Jessy grinned and planted a quick kiss on her mother's forehead. She's determined to make their outing today a memorable and entertaining one.

They passed by a food cart that offers different types of ice cream flavor.

"Let's buy ice cream, Mom, I'm craving for one!" Jessy enthused.

Jessy bought Creamy Mango Ice Cream for her and Butterscotch Ice cream for her mother. Not satisfied she bought another flavor which is an Avocado and her mother opted for Strawberry Ice cream.

A minute later, they went through different booths in the food festival, admiring the plentiful mouthwatering dishes displayed appetizingly for everyone to see.

"Mom, let's go to the next booth, they seemed to offer a variety of seafood dishes!" Jessy steered her mother to the next booth.

There was plenty of seafood dishes on display. There were clam, crabs, fish, lobsters, squid, and shrimp tempura dishes. The tantalizing aroma of the dishes assailed the nostrils of everyone who passes by on that booth.

Jessy paid for two platters of spicy crisp shrimp tempura, grilled squid, two bowls of scallop with pasta and two extra-large refreshing lemon ice tea.

They waited for their order to be served on their table.

A few minutes later, their order was delivered to them by the waiter.

"Let's eat, Mom!" Jessy said in a cheerful mood.

Sarah grinned. "Oh yeah!"

Mother and daughter feasted on their sumptuous seafood delicacy.

Thirty minutes later, they finally devoured everything on their plates.

"Wow! That was super tasty dishes!" Sarah raves, all smile while caressing her full stomach.

"I'm glad that you love the seafood dishes that I have chosen for you, Mom. You want to visit the other booth that sells sweet and desserts over there?" she pointed to the booth across.

"Let's go!" Sarah said.

They rose to their feet and sauntered towards the sweets and dessert stalls, they were admiring the colorful display on the table.

"Let's buy one box of cheesecake and one carrot cake and bring them home, Mom," Jessy suggested.

Sarah nods her head.

She was about to get money from her sling bag when all of a sudden, there was a commotion happening a few meters away from where they were standing, sounds of guns can be heard, people began running everywhere and shouting in panic and fear, then Jessy saw three people slumped on the ground and she saw blood!

"Oh shiit!" she gasped in shock.
