Everyone was waiting agonizingly for the next hour, eager to know what transpired after Jessy and the enemy disappeared.

A few minutes later, their waiting finally comes to an end. A smiling Jessy finally entered the study room, her calm demeanor show as if nothing happens.

She addressed everyone in the room.

"Hello guys, as you can see I'm perfectly alright, I'm not hurt and not wounded and my body parts are intact, so everyone please stop worrying about me," she started her speech in a positive tone.

"Let me explain everything...While impersonating our King together with my puppets above the Facility, we were busy slaughtering the bats I have no idea that the enemy was already behind me and plunged his spear in my back, thankfully I had shielded my body long time ago protecting it from any types of weapons or objects. Though I felt the impact of his spear rammed into my back it didn't touch my skin. Then he activated teleportation and we both disappeared. I found myself together with the enemy in a forest, with towering trees and lush vegetation. The enemy was bleeding heavily due to the King's spear...as I watched him... his life was fading away from his eyes...he begged for me to bury his body 'coz he doesn't want his body to be eaten by hungry vultures in the forest, I told him to answer my question first if I'm satisfied with his answer I will bury him properly. I ask him if he has back up while launching an attack to the facility, he told me that he is a lone ranger and uses his black magic to manipulate the bats by commanding them to attack the Facility..."

Jessy paused for a moment and then resumed her storytelling while everyone was silently listening to her tale.

"Guys, the enemy was the leader of the savage vampire that we had massacred in the cave while we rescued the human captives. He comes for revenge and fails miserably. I watched while death slowly took over his body, he finally died. At first, I decided to just abandon his dead body there and not honor my promise. But in the end, I changed my mind and start finding a good place to bury him. I placed his dead body a few meters away while I start digging his grave, to my surprise when I was about to place his dead body in the grave, his body disappeared then I noticed a few hyenas nearby, they were watching me hungrily, that's when I realized that they already have gotten hold of the dead body. Before they can devour the dead body completely, I had a fierce fight with more than ten hyenas and defeated them all, I burn all the hyenas with the fire in my palm, and finally, I was able to bury the dead body to its final resting place. I got exhausted, so I rested in one of the trunks of the tree and has fallen asleep, then I wake up this morning and return home...that's all!"

Jessy looked at the faces of her listeners, waiting for a reaction or something...

"Well done, Jessy! And Welcome back!" King Antone said.

The king's acceptance of her tale without any trace of doubt... filled Jessy's heart with relief.

Sarah stood up and hugged her daughter tightly. "I'm so happy you're back safely, daughter, for me that's the only thing that matters to me," tears of joy were flowing from her eyes.

Jessy rubbed her mother's back.

Hector enveloped his wife and his daughter in a bear hug.

Everyone was still asking her some questions and Jessy answered them all satisfactorily.

Adam and Jessy were glancing at each other, without saying anything the whole time they were inside the study room.

The small crowd finally dispersed and returned to their respective routines for the day.

Jessy went to her room in a hurry expecting Adam to be there. And she was right, he was there sitting in her bed. She catapulted into his waiting arms.

"My God, you got me so worried sick, Jess!" Adam said. "I and the others were looking for you all night long all over the forest, but we can't find you. I'm so worried after knowing that the enemy plunged a spear in your back and you vanished alongside with him without a trace, that scared the shit out of me!"

Jessy smiled.

"You shouldn't be, what is the used of my power if I can't protect my self against my enemy? Besides, the enemy was already wounded gravely, he can no longer harm me. The only thing he can do is die in peace," she lied again.

Adam claimed her mouth for a searing kiss.

They shared a passionate kiss for a few minutes. Adam's fear and worries finally evaporated into thin air.

He tore his lips away from her mouth reluctantly. "I want you to rest for a while, forget the blood transfusion, just sleep and rest. I will watch you while you were sleeping," he said.

"Fine, as you say so. I will only sleep for three hours, then you should wake me up because I want to do blood transfusion until midnight tonight," she said.

"Alright, I will wake you up after three hours."

Jessy inspected his haggard face. "You lack sleep as well, why don't we sleep together?" she offered.

"Okay, that sounds better," Adam said and wrapped the blanket around their form and smile affectionately at each other. He planted a kiss on her forehead. "Sleep well my love," he murmured and wrapped his arms around her body lovingly.

Jessy answered him with her sweet smile. "You too," and she closed her eyes to sleep.

Fifteen minutes later, the couple had fallen asleep together on each other's arms.

Three hours later.

The couple finally awakened from their satisfying slumber.

They stared at each other for a minute more

Adam was feeling grateful to see Jessy again, after a torturous night of not knowing where she was after she disappeared, he just wants to spend more time with her. "Wait here, Jess. I will get food from the canteen so that we can eat lunch here in silence," he said.

Jessy smiled brightly. "Wow, I like that! Lunch in bed. Yes please!" she planted a kiss on his cheeks delighted with his offer of pampering.

Adam smiled, spoiling his woman and feeding her was his goal for the day, he left the room in his invisible form with the smile of happiness still lingers on his lips.

A moment later, Adam returned with the take out foods from the canteen, it was all Jessy's favorite dishes.

They start eating their meals in comfortable silence.

Thirty minutes later, they finished eating everything and they were more than satisfied with the fullness of their stomach.

After a few minutes rest.

"I have to return to my place now, Jess. But I will come back tonight before midnight so that I can sleep by your side. I want to spend more time with you tonight," Adam said.

"That's awesome! I can't wait!" Jessy said and hugged him tightly looking forward to spending the night in his arms.

"I love you!" he said and planted a kiss on her lips.

"I love you too!" she replied.

Adam smiled and was gone in sixty seconds.

Jessy took a quick shower before going back to the clinic to resume blood transfusion.
