The Last Embrace Chapter 308

Jessy entered the clinic with her stomach full. She smiled broadly while the doctor and his assistant were staring at her with their mouth agape.
"What's is wrong, Doc?" she asked and without further ado, she lay down in the clinic bed.
"D-did you just come back, Jess? Are you okay? Are you hurt?" the doctor bombarded her with questions while inspecting her body looking for some wound or something.
"I'm fine, Doc. I'm sorry I'm late. Please don't worry about me. I'm not hurt or anything, let's get started with the blood transfusion," she said in a calm voice.
"Are you sure you're okay? I want to run a physical check-up first just to make sure you aren't hurting anywhere on your body," the doctor was still hesitating to proceed with the blood transfusion.
Jessy smiled. "No need, Doc. I'm okay, no wound and no pain. Believe me, I'm perfectly alright," she continues smiling at the physician wanting to put him at ease.
The assistant exited the room and went to the other room to ready the recipient.
A few minutes later the assistant returned with the recipient.
The doctor looked at his assistant. "Go now and inform the royal couple and the parents that Jessy had already returned," he said.
The assistant left the clinic immediately.
He went to the study room and inform everyone that Jessy was finally back in the Facility, unharmed.
"Your highness, Jessy is back in the clinic and currently undergoing blood transfusion with a recipient as of this moment," he said to the king.
A huge relief washed over them, everyone rose to their feet and rushed out of the study room to see Jessy in person.
They went to the clinic to see her with their own eyes.
There she is...
Jessy was lying in the clinic bed, she smiled brightly at the people who were looking at her outside the clinic.

Not satisfied, King Antone, Queen Margaret, Adam, Hector, and Sarah crowded inside the clinic to see her up close.
"My daughter!" Sarah sobbed emotionally while hugging her daughter tightly. "Are you okay?" she asked between tears.
Jessy nodded her head. "I'm okay, Mom, please don't worry about me. Am not harm in any way," she assured them. She was smiling while looking at her father, at the royal couple and Adam.
"Jessy, you got us worried!" Hector told his daughter.
"I'm sorry Dad, I will explain everything after I'm done here in the clinic," she said to her visitors.
Jessy and Adam locked eyes for a few seconds, then he smiled brightly feeling happy to see her again.
King Antone urged everyone to vacate the clinic. "Guys, enough for the visit. Let's get out of here and wait for Jessy in the study room," he said to his companions.
Everyone departed from the room feeling relieved to see that Jessy was not physically hurt.
They went back to the study room, their mind was ripe with speculations on what exactly happened after Jessy and the enemy disappeared from the Facility.
...
Back in the clinic.
Jessy was thinking of Jagger.
How is he doing right now? How will he cope alone in the treehouse?
She pushed the thoughts of him out of her mind, for now, she needs to think of a concrete alibi. She's not ready yet to reveal to anyone that she saved the enemy's life because she wants to know where the 'other brother' lives. If they will know of her plan they won't agree to it, considering that the enemy already killed forty of the king's men, he has to die!
It was such a complicated plan and she was hoping that they won't find out of Jagger's whereabouts because they will kill him for sure the moment they will see him.

She wants to catch the bigger fish! The killing and revenge have to end at some point in time, she can't allow these horrible things to keep going on for a long time. She wants to put an end to the long decade of hatred...vengeance and killing between the good and bad vampires have to end.
The conflict between these two clans had run deep already, resulting in many deaths in the past.
It's either forgiveness or death, all has to end, either of the two factors will suffice, and she has to do her part.
She has to do it her way.
...
Back in the forest, inside the treehouse.
It was late in the afternoon when Jagger has finally awakened from his slumber. He felt his body weakening, what's wrong with him?
He inspected his wound, it already healed, so why his body felt so weak? Was he ill? Is he getting sick? It's weird because he doesn't usually get sick. It's the first time he felt like this, his body feels so heavy and he can barely move his arms.
What the f*ck is going on!?
He was panicking inside.
What if his enemy will suddenly arrive in the treehouse? He's powerless to defend himself, he will be a goner for sure. The only consolation he had was that he made the treehouse invisible to the naked eye.
He looked for Belle inside the treehouse, he didn't see her even her shadow was nonexistent, she left him! Did she poison him or something before she left? He remembered that she fed him again with her blood.
He suddenly felt sad. She already escaped and abandon him. Maybe they will no longer see each other again. He wanted to cry in sadness. He can't understand why he becomes emotional all of a sudden. If only he did not feel ill and sleep for too long she won't be able to escape, now he already loses her future bride and it's all his fault.
A moment later.
He was frowning when he saw the earthen jug and the coconut shell in the floor and there were two clusters of ripe bananas as well, then he noticed that Belle left her jacket and wrapped it around him, he inhaled her scent from her jacket and snuggled with it imagining it was Belle. Did she expect him to eat this human food? Had she forgotten already that he was a vampire and only feed on blood? Although he ignored the human food that she prepared for him, he does appreciate her effort, he felt glad that during his vulnerable state she didn't kill him even if she already had all the chance to do so, instead of killing him, she continues to feed him with her blood.
All this time, she treated him with kindness over and over again, yet he repaid her with cruelty. He starts feeling guilty all of a sudden.
He stared at her jacket.
A silly smile was plastered on his face, Belle intentionally left him her jacket, she cared for him a little bit, even though it's just a tiny bit of affection deep inside his heart he feels happy knowing she cared for him.
As much as he wants to stay awake, he can no longer fight sleepiness from overcoming his senses, he can no longer fight his eyelids from shutting down. He was thinking maybe he will become stronger again later when the sun already set on the horizon and the night will take over the land.
Once again, he drifted into a deep sleep.
