The Last Embrace Chapter 194

Jessy wasted no time, she searched Hannah everywhere in the middle core where the vampires were being housed, nothing, she can't find her anywhere...she will try outside the Facility...she teleported outside in her invisible form and hovered above the dense forest and began searching for Hannah in the surrounding areas.
She was scared of her sudden disappearance, especially that she's pregnant!
At this hour, she should have been sleeping soundly in her room and not wander around, it would be stupid for her to venture outside the Facility alone and pregnant. It doesn't sound good at all that before Hannah disappeared in her room she dreamed of her horrible death it made her even more gutted to find her!
Where are you, Hannah!?
She went deeper down into the forest searching every nook and cranny of every tree just to find what she was looking for.
Nothing!
No sight of Hannah.
Everything in the forest is sleeping, it's too quiet!
She was thankful for the full moon above, it throws some light over the forest no matter how blurry it is when she was down combing the ground.
She advances in the distance, scanning the trees looking for a figure of the pregnant woman, trying to smell her scent, she can't locate her scent!
Where could she be?
Although Hannah has a vampire power, enemies are lurking in the dark, danger always awaits everyone in the darkness of the night. The danger during nighttime is far greater compared during day time.
She rose again in the air...she went higher and higher above the trees...she can see the structure of the Facility and the Habitat...they were getting smaller which means she already covered more than a hundred miles to find Hannah.
Still no sign of her.
She's getting frustrated!

She zoomed farther away then went lower down into the forest. Her nose would alert her of Hannah's smell, even a small scent will do, that would be enough to guide her to trace the pregnant woman's whereabouts.
She had spent nearly ten minutes in that place, trying to feel Hannah's presence in the surrounding areas.
No sign of her!
Time to move on to another place.
She advances...hovering up in the air looking left and right and went down again into the forest to continue looking for her friend.
She must find Hannah before day time comes. The longer Hannah stays outside the Facility the more she will be in danger.
She left the lower part of the forest and went up higher...this time the Facility and the Habitat can no longer be seen at this distance.
In front of her were mountains...and more towering trees.
More wide spaces and areas to check on Hannah!
What the heck!
The farther she strayed away from the Facility the more it's harder to find her.
But the intense feeling of wanting to find Hannah was burning feverishly in her veins. She can't give up on finding her! She will try to search for her at the back of the first mountain that appeared on her vision. If she still can't find the pregnant woman there...then she will re-evaluate her plans.
She will try to search that mountain over there looming on the horizon. If she's not there then she will go back to the Facility and inform the royal family, then she will continue searching for her tomorrow morning.
Jessy zoomed right into the mountain top...then she heard a sound of trickling of water...that's when she saw a stream below...she slowly descended into the stream...and there she saw a silhouette lying near the big rocks...the moon was shining brighter and illuminated that area where the immobile figure was lying...hear heart was beating faster in her rib cage...the scene looks the same in her dream... as she took a closer look at the figure...she felt a sense of relief washed over her, now that she had a clearer view of the thing, it's not a human body...but that of a big bear! It's already dead!

Thank God! It's not Hannah!
She looked around her.
No one was around the area—but wait—she saw shadows lurking behind the trees! She can sense their presence but they cannot see her.
Who are they?
She hovered closer towards the big trunks of the trees.
That's when she saw them!
About ten of them.
Their looks were scary and their face gaunt, very thin-looking incapacitated being...and they are vampires!
They were huddled together and moving out of the place.
Out of curiosity, she followed them from behind wanting to know where they're going.
After fifteen minutes of following them, the vampires entered the entrance of something...that looks like a cave, the cave's mouth was partially hidden by wild bushes and plants, to outsiders who aren't familiar with the place it's impossible to discover the cave's existence.
The cave was situated at the foot of the mountain where dense wild bushes and wild plants occupied the entire area.
Jessy zoomed right inside the cave...
The vampires were going deeper into the cave...and inside there's a stream of water passing through.
Then the vampires entered the wide area of the cave that looks like a clearing. More vampires sitting idle huddled together...men, women, children, and old alike...Jessy began doing head count...about fifty of them including the ten vampires she followed inside.
They gathered around a bonfire.
Their faces were gaunt...their cheeks were shrinking...they looked so thin...they have this vacant stare on their faces as if they were already staring at the shadow of death waiting on their doorsteps.
She knew why they were looking incapacitated.
They were lacking blood to sustain the needs of their bodies to keep living!
A vampire who looks like the leader of the group stood up, he looks frail as well.
"Did you find something outside the cave!?" he asked his men.
The men shook their heads with sadness in their eyes.
"We found a bear in the stream but it was already dead, besides the blood of that bear emanated a horrid stench on it...we waited for another to come along but we aren't seeing any bear at all so we just go home as we are afraid that the day will start soon and the sun will catch us," the leader of the men responded.
The leader of the vampires sat back on the ground wearing a gloomy expression on his face. "This won't do, if we can't find something to sink our fangs with we are all going to die here," he said with profound sadness in his eyes.
Jessy was shaking her head while watching the poor conditions of the vampires.
They will die if she won't do something to save them but she had to remind herself that finding Hannah is her top priority!
She left the clearing and exited the cave.
She hovered in the air...above the trees...and took one last look at the mountain below where the vampires where hiding, she teleported into the Facility back into Hannah's room.

Right as Rage
Only 15 years have passed since the miscreant god, Villi, stole magic from the gods and gave it to mortals. In response the mortals seem to be doing their best to squander this gift. Vakdragnar's curse manifests when he loses his temper. It has driven everyone he’s ever cared about away from him. Out of options and money, he travels to the city of Tirough and quickly finds himself on the wrong side of the law. He is persecuted despite his intentions to do good. And if this curse is truly a part of him now, what if they’re right? **************************************************************************************************** Right as Rage is a story I’ve been excited to write for some time now. I hope everyone is as excited to read it. This story is going to be told over several arcs, with each arc containing 7-12 chapters, and an interlude or two each. This is a story of two old men trying to free from the shackle of their destiny set in a future only to await their impending doom. This is a story of a dead god, and of a storyteller, trying to break from the bonds of the past. And as their stories go, one of them will face the events that unfold in their distant past, as the other one will unveil its mystery predicted by its future. Is it a mistake to challenge fate, after all? *** The world-building is set upon on the universal scale, with dungeon and old-style fantasy. It has a progression that follows with the consistency of a dungeon setting, although it's not what you call a dungeon, but a function of a crystal. There's a lot to take in this novel, but that's all within my intention. I have always enjoyed challenging conventional ideas. The cover is not mine, it's just temporary.
