The Last Embrace Chapter 164

Jessy landed in the center of the warehouse and carefully dropped the sleeping Aston on the floor along with the bag of money. She roamed her eyes around the warehouse, the kidnappers and the girl were still frozen.
She looked around for Captain Mercado and his men, she found them staring at her, with more or less thirty military officers huddled together in the corner...all their firearms were pointing at her.
She saw colored blue dots in her clothes more like a tiny flashlight crisscrossing all over her body...Holy shit!
Snipers!
Lol...she nearly has forgotten that she and the military officers were enemies!
Sigh...
Well...
"Surrender Crossbreed!" Captain Mercado's voice echoed inside the warehouse.
Jessy released a deep breath. So, they want her to surrender, eh? Has she done something wrong to them?
She looked at the people around her, they were only frozen but the bullets can still pierce their bodies...so...she must get out of the warehouse and play with the boys.
She looked at the frozen girl and the frozen leader of the kidnappers...she's done her part to help everyone! Too bad, the military officers aren't kind enough to give her even a tiny credit for her contribution, but anyways, for them, she's still the enemy, she can't blame them though they were just following orders and doing their jobs.
She massaged her temple...
So they want to have some fun...eh? she just hopes that after they will have their fun she can still hold back her temper and not harm any of them.
Well---?
Party time!
"Follow me outside guys!" she said and rose above the air passing through the roof and landed outside-near the entrance of the warehouse, the door of the warehouse opened and the men came out pointing their guns at her.
Captain Mercado stared at the crossbreed. "Surrender or you will die!" he said.
Jessy took a deep breath. "I won't surrender because I have done nothing wrong today!" she shouted, smirking at them.

Captain Mercado looked at his men and gave his command. "F-I-R-E-E-E!"
It starts raining bullets from the sky...not really from the sky but the military officers' weapons.
The sounds of the bullets being released were like the sound of the machine guns being fired continuously...deadly...deafening...terrifying!
Prttttttttttt!
Whsiingggggg!
Booommmm!
But to their surprise, the crossbreed was still standing still...smirking even...!
Their eyes widened the more when they saw the bullets they released from their weapons were suspended in time...frozen as well.
Not a single bullet hits the crossbreed!
"Sir, our bullets are useless!" said one of the officers.
They all looked at the Captain for further instruction.
Captain Mercado and Jessy locked eyes.
"Are you done with your fun, Captain? You are so mean! after helping you and your men... is this the fitting reward you will give me? I'm so disappointed with you...you are much worse than those kidnappers I froze inside the warehouse," Jessy said. "You guys really love messing around, huh?" she said.
The captain did not reply, he was trying to gauge what will the crossbreed do next.
"I want to have some fun too, Captain! May I?" she grinned from ear to ear.
Captain Mercado's eyes widened in alarmed...what she's planning!?
"I will count 1 to 10, if your men won't get out of the way I will start releasing the bullets and they will rain on your men's head, and no one will be standing alive after I released the bullets...what do you think, Captain?" Jessy said, still smiling, her eyes were sparkling with amusement.
The soldiers scrambled out of the way...
Jessy sighed.
Damn!
Stupid Humans!
They are the worst kind among the living species on earth!
Unfortunately... she's half-human too!
She rose above the air and positioned herself about to release the bullets into the soil in the ground.
She waved her hand changing the position of the bullets, instead of facing her, the bullets were now facing the solid ground beneath her then she waved her hand releasing the bullets from being frozen and the bullets zoomed down into the ground hitting the soil in high speed.

Whewww it's over!
She turned around and faced the Captain and his men.
"Guys, please no more games, okay? I'm tired, I'm feeling sleepy, I want to go home now and sleep!" she yawned and covered her mouth with her hands.
She walked straight towards the entrance of the warehouse in a casual manner.
"Where are you going?" the captain asked.
"I will unfreeze everyone inside...you and your men must be there to handcuff those kidnappers," Jessy said, then she sighed and face the officers. "Please don't attempt to hurt me again, I might get angry and you won't like it if I get angry, you understand guys?" She didn't wait for their replies...it's useless...no matter what she does she will always be branded as their enemy, she just walked ahead and went nearer to the kidnappers.
Then she faced the men in uniform. "If you guys want to go home...then let's finish it tonight!" she said.
"I will unfreeze them now...three people at a time... ready your handcuffs!" she said and she suddenly disappeared from their sight.
Jessy was now in her invisible form.
She doesn't like to unfreeze all the kidnappers at once, there might be confusion and then total panic...pandemonium... and somebody might get hurt and get hit by bullet unintentionally.
She will just unfreeze three people at a time.
She began unfreezing the three kidnappers near her.
Next...she unfrozen another three on her left side and so on.
The rest of the kidnappers were already unfrozen and were in a state of shock on what happened to them.
They just looked at each other...with horror in their eyes.
"What the hell happened!? "
They were asking questions to each other, yet no one can answer them.
The last person for Jessy to unfreeze is the leader of the kidnappers and the girl.
She unfreezes them both at the same time.
The uniformed men gathered around the leader and handcuff him.
Captain Mercado approached the girl and took the blindfold from her eyes. "Are you okay, Miss?" he asked.
The girl roamed her eyes around the men who surrounded her, she was able to identify the men in handcuffs were the kidnappers and the men in uniform is the military officers who save her, she began sobbing in happiness, great relief washed over her, she was free at last!
"I wanna go home! Please take me home officers!" she said between tears.
"Okay, we will bring you home, please stay calm, you are safe now," Captain Mercado said.
"Yes, please, thank you!" there was much enthusiasm in her voice.
"Did the kidnappers hurt you?" he continued to ask her.
The girl shook her head. "No, they did not hurt me," she answered.
"Good!" he said.
The captain stood up, then he heard a whisper in his ears. "I will unfreeze the men outside Captain, send some people there..." then the voice disappeared.
The captain signaled a few of his men to go outside 'coz there still some kidnappers there who are still frozen.
Jessy waited for the men to come out and when they did, she automatically unfroze the kidnappers outside the entrance of the warehouse.
Jessy rose in the air.
She's done.
Whewww!
What a night!
Jessy saw the kidnappers were already loaded into the vehicles and will be taken back to the military camp.
Captain Mercado instructed his second in command, Arnold to bring the girl back into Colonel Brown's office.
"How about you, Sir?" Arnold asked.
"I will stay here for a little while, I need some thinking to do," he said.
"Okay, Sir." Arnold saluted and the rest of the men piled up inside the vehicle.

Peerless Hegemon
Warning: Can be quite tearjerking and depressing (or so others say). If you are weak to that and hates that kind of thing, then this story is not for you === Ye Feng lived two lives in one lifetime. First, he basked in the light of Righteousness, becoming an idol of peace and justice. Second, he trod the mired path of the Darkest Path, becoming an object of fear and death. One lifetime, Two Identities, countless experiences, still without purpose. A meaningless existence. An empty husk. In his selfishness of wanting to fill the void in him, he became the catalyst that destroyed Reality. He now controlled everything, ultimate power, uncontestable by none. But he cast it away, to be reborn anew. With a new name and a family, his goal was to understand, his place. To understand how to no longer feel empty. With his family consisting of a Reincarnated Twin Sister and Parents with inscrutable pasts, his desire was not that of grandeur. In this lifetime, he wishes not to hold power, not to gain eternal life, nor control of everything, he only wishes to live, and hopefully look at sunrise with a smile on his face. === Disclaimer: The story focuses on the Main Character’s emotional and personality growth. He is someone who is, obviously OP in some perspectives but almost crippled in others. He is not soft and does not spare anyone because it is “Bad” so expect that there would be genocide and some bloody encounters. I want this instead of just the MC’s search for life and its complication. Where Philosophy and values exist. A story where every action has proper consequences, and not everything can be conquered with a single punch (unless it can be, no need for an unnecessary complication if it can be avoided). Further Notes: This is a story that will gradually increase in word counts and become Chunkier as it progresses and will almost never be below 2000 words, but if the word count will only lengthen the chapter at the expense of a finished tale, it could and would be cut off before 2000 mark), give it a try, it won’t disappoint (I hope). And if by chance that you like it, giving a good Rating and Review will be encouraging to me and possible readers. Schedule: Monday and Friday If you want to read ahead and/or support me to creating this story, you can do it through my Patreon (link below the next chapter button.)
