On the other hand, since the mission was not in any way related to her safety and of the clan then she should not meddle in human affairs, as long the mission doesn't endanger her and the whole vampire clan then it's already beyond her control.

She stared at the photos of the girls one last time and put back the files into the brown envelope. She teleported back into the captain's house and returned the brown envelopes into the table.

She was about to go back to the Facility and sleep the night away...

But her conscience is nagging her mind, at the last minute she has a change of heart.

Damn! She can't get the girls' faces out of her mind!

She exited the master's bedroom and teleported into the garage area. The captain's car was not parked there.

She teleported into the military camp in the outskirt of the city in her invisible form, there she found Captain Mercado wearing civilian clothes talking to Colonel Brown in his office. Above the table, she finds two black attache case, probably stuffed with 5 million cash each? she was just wild guessing...

The hands of time on the clock hanging on the wall is pointed at 1:00 AM.

Colonel Brown was talking...

"I'm currently waiting for my friend's call. He and his wife have been worried to death thinking of the safety of their daughters. The moment the kidnappers contact him and give the address of the secret location...then you will bring along the ransom with you. My friend is willing to pay the ransom money as long the girls will be kept alive and be released the soonest possible time," Colonel Brown said.

He paused for a minute catching his breath, the look of worry was plastered on the colonel's face, one of the girls is his goddaughter.

"Captain, I want you to act according to the kidnappers' demand, give them the money, my priority is to secure the girls' safety first before you hunt the kidnappers and then retrieve the ransom money afterward. It's easier to catch and chase the kidnappers when they already freed their captives. Catch the kidnappers alive or shoot to kill without mercy if they don't surrender. Just keep yourself and your men alive throughout the operation."

"Yes, Sir!" Captain Mercado said.

"How many men you will bring with you?" Colonel Brown asked.

"I handpicked 20 elite men under my command for this operation, Sir! They are expert in hand to hand combat, they are excellent snipers and their agility is incomparable...they're eager for some live-action...," Captain Mercado answered.

"That's good!" the colonel said. "Captain Mercado, if you can bring the two girls alive and retrieved the money... you and your men will be rewarded soon, I will work on your promotion right away," the colonel said.

Captain Mercado was silent. He was not thinking or looking forward to the promotion and the monetary reward after the mission was finished, he just want to rescue the girls alive, return them safely to their parents and capture the kidnappers dead or alive while making sure no one will get hurt among his men.

He was sure the kidnappers are also prepared for the worst, they won't give back their ransom money without giving a fight, it's gonna be a bloody hunt and chase between the kidnappers and his men.

The Captain's phone starts beeping...he received a text message.... his friend had forwarded to him the address of the secret location.

The secret location is a two hours drive away from the city in an abandoned warehouse.

Colonel Brown forwarded the text message to the captain's phone.

Captain Mercado read the text message twice from his phone and then called for his men who are waiting outside the room to enter the office and carry the black attache case.

The two men wearing plain civilian clothes entered the office and the captain ordered them to bring with them the attache case.

"Men, get the attache case, inside is the ransom money," the captain said.

"Good luck Captain!" Colonel Brown said.

Captain Mercado and his men execute the hand salute on Colonel Brown and hastily left the room.

Jessy watched the colonel's face overflowing with tension and worry...

Then she left the room to follow the captain and his men heading towards the parking lot of the military camp. The captain and his men boarded the black van and a few minutes later the vehicle was now moving towards the guardhouse, the guards on duty opened the gate and the vehicle went speeding into the highway.

Jessy was hovering above the vehicle.

She will just watch Captain Mercado and his men live in action and she was interested to see how can they rescue the girls. Then see with her own two eyes if the kidnappers are willing to release one of the girls once they already got the ransom money or they will do some hocus pocus against the military officials who are the ransom bearer.

After done watching the men in uniform in action she will go back to the Facility to rest and sleep.

Inside the moving vehicle.

Captain Mercado forwarded the address of the location to the leader of his men waiting for his instruction on their respective vehicles 2 miles from the city. He gives them further instruction to just conduct surveillance of the location, stand alert and do nothing, they don't want to alert the kidnappers of their presence... those hoodlums might panic and kill the girls...it's something that he can't afford to happen, two innocent lives were at stake here...he has to make sure the operation will succeed with no casualties involved especially on his team and this can only be achieved if the kidnappers will feel at ease knowing that their demands were met without resistance from the victims side.

If the kidnappers only want the money then they will not harm anyone as long their demands are met, hopefully, that is the case. He and his two men will be the sacrificial lamb in this mission if worse come to worst only a few people will get hurt and the rest will be safe. If the kidnappers will act violently towards the ransom bearer then he is more than ready to go down with them.
