Done with her daily quota of blood transfusion, Jessy in her invisible form teleported into Captain Mercado's home to continue spying on him.

She wants to see this Colonel Brown and what he will do with regards to the remaining vampire now that she knows that their existence was no longer a secret, the military officers knew about the vampires hideout, it's the 5k human workers in the outer dome that prevented them from penetrating the vampires hiding place recklessly, that was before and yet the humans can no longer be used as shields because they can also be used as collateral damage by some twisted psycho military officials.

The surviving vampires are heading for doom unless she can make the first move to eliminate all the military officials who would dare to destroy the vampires' last frontier.

She will make the first move before they can execute their evil plans.

She landed in the backyard at the back of the house, it's still early evening around 6:00.

She entered the house and saw the rest of the family getting dressed up. Are they going to go somewhere? Family bonding?

Where?

Well, the only way to know where is to trail them wherever they will go.

Captain Mercado padlocked the house and the rest of the family members waited outside in the driveway while he gets the car out from the garage.

The whole family entered the vehicle excitedly.

Captain Mercado steered the car into the street exiting the neighborhood.

Jessy hovered in the air trailing the car from behind in her invisible form.

After thirty minutes of traveling, the car stopped in the parking area of the nearest mall.

"Ah, so they were just going into the mall, just a family bonding," Jessy said to herself.

She was hesitating if she will continue following the family inside the mall. In the end, she decided to follow them, it's been a while since she last visited the mall, she can do a window shopping of her own, just admiring stuff here and there.

The shopping mall was 6-story high. Just like any other mall it displays and sells everything from groceries, household products, computer and gadget accessories, beauty products, men, women and children's clothing and etcetera.

The family went inside the grocery store and brought household consumptions such as vegetables, groceries, meat and poultry products. Then they went to the children's clothing section and brought several clothes for the children. Done with the shopping, they entered the video arcade and the children were having fun playing a different array of video games, Jessy doesn't like the noise though, it's deafening inside the arcade.

She noticed a teenager throwing ball into the basketball hoop, she smiled in amusement and used her power to play a prank on the boy, as the teen kept throwing the ball onto the hoop he can't shoot the ball no matter how hard he tried, the ball would just go the other way even if he throws it at the hoop with precision...he's getting pissed off as minutes passes by because he normally perfected all his throws and it's his favorite game in the arcade, then why he can't do it right now? What's wrong with him today?

Jessy laughed silently upon seeing the frustrations on the teen's face, she finally decided to stop playing a prank on the poor boy. Enjoy your game dude, she said as she stops manipulating the ball. Finally, the boy's succeeding throws landed all into the hoop, his face broke into a triumphant smile.

Jessy surveyed the other games available in the arcade to kill time.

A few minutes later.

Thankfully, the family was done in the arcade and they all go out and brought ice cream in the nearby stall.

Dang! Jessy was salivating on the ice cream...too bad she can't take any.

The family moved on to the 5th floor of the building, there was a skating rink in there. Captain Mercado's two teenage children begged their dad for permission to skate even for just thirty minutes. He finally obliged. The teens went inside the skating rink she can see rejoicing in their faces.

Captain Mercado, his wife, and two children proceed to the 6th floor to buy something there.

As they were nearing the store of their interest, Captain Mercado and his family passed by a woman holding a toddler in her arms while talking animatedly to another woman near the railing. The toddler aggressively holds on to the stainless railing while the mother continues to talk with her friend.

A few seconds later...

"Helppppp...my babyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!"

A loud terrifying scream broke in the 6th floor as the woman who was holding the toddler watched in horror as her baby plunged below... then her body went limp as she loses consciousness, her friend was able to catch the falling woman before her head hit the ground.

Jessy moves fast in split second and swooped down rushing towards the toddler.

Woshhhhhhhh!

Captain Mercado felt a gush of wind passing near him, he runs into the railing and looked below...
