Tamer Of Cosmic Beasts Chapter 55

Everyone was overjoyed after seeing the dead body of Black Dragon. All of them gathered around Akash as he called for his Ancestor Law Enforcement including Haji Tea along with the rest of the Tea and Seth families. The duo of beastmen and the orc arrived as well, Akash took a glimpse at the whole battlefield.
Every spot was covered with the blood and bodies of dead beasts, One-Eyed Wolf arrived at the mountain and stood a little way away from Red Mamba and his people.
Throughout the fight, the wolf had lost around 17000 beasts, leaving only 13000 alive and on the side of Black Dragon, only 2500 dragons survived thanks to their surrender. Akash looked at the two leading beasts on the mountain and asked.
"Do any of you mind if I take all these dead bodies? I was the one who killed Black Dragon, after all."
Red Mamba was the first to reply.
"I don't mind at all, they are all yours."
Akash then looked at the second leader, One-Eyed Wolf, who replied.
"Can you spare the beasts that fought on my side?"
Akash retorted.
"No, I'm sorry."
The wolf flinched.
"I'm sorry as well, but I cannot let you take their bodies."
"Alright then, prepare for another war."
Akash stated dominantly.
Red Mamba didn't wait before he turned his face towards One-Eyed Wolf and hissed. The wolf was not shocked, he clearly saw how this snake had betrayed Black Dragon and sided with Akash. He inquired.
"If you had already decided on your actions from the onset, why did you ask us?"
Akash replied.
"I was giving you face in front of your people."
"I saved you from Red Mamba by sending my own army and yet this is how you want to repay me?"

Said the wolf
Red Mamba chuckled.
"Indeed, ask that moose if you want proof. I was about to kill him, but this young man saved him."
The wolf looked at Shine Moose and the later nodded, after which Akash continued after Red Mamba's words.
"As for your help, I never needed it. That's why I sent all of them back before they could fully climb the mountain, you didn't realize that in the heat of war. But, to show my gratitude, I also sent my own people to help you after Mamba had surrendered"
One-Eyed Wolf was silently staring at Akash, he wanted to fight for the bodies of his brethren but after witnessing the fight between Akash and Black Dragon, he could only feel helplessness.
Akash carried on.
"Answer me one question honestly, would you have been able to win against both the dragon and the snake's army, if we were not here? You should be grateful rather than demanding."
Wolf replied in a voice filled with pain.
"I understand but... I just wanted to give them a formal burial…"
"Oh, don't worry about it, I will just take their cores and other useful body parts. I am in dire need of those, their remaining bodies will be yours to take."
Happiness appeared on One-Eyed Wolf's face
"If that is so, then I have no problems. Thank you very much!"
By the time things were settled, it was already night. The war had lasted longer than half a day. Akash beckoned his whole force to gather.
"Help the injured beasts, then take a nap. Tomorrow as the sun rises, we will collect the cores and any other precious parts of the dead beasts."
The Tea family started healing the beasts who were on the brink of death first, while Akash flew towards the open field. He gestured to the two beasts to follow him and looked to his side, where his people were.

"Haji, Daan, Sacra and Sohrab, the four of you will follow me."
The called ones slowly followed the back of Akash. They went quite far away before Akash sat down on a huge boulder, facing the two beasts while the four vassals stood beside the boulder. Akash started the talk
"My name is King Akash Tagar, I've come here to rule this entire planet and remove those who will oppose me."
Both the wolf and the snake didn't give any expression before the former replied.
"Every second beast and tamer in these lands claimed to rule the entire planet, before dying a painful death. Even though you have extraordinary powers, those empires and kingdom are far more powerful than our dukedoms."
Akash sent a message via the System to the four to take out their weapons, which they did without question.
"Duran, Awaken!"
"Hadda, Awaken!"
"Coronella, Awaken!"
"Jeeth, Awaken!"
After the 4 of them were done, Akash continued.
"You saw these weapons from far, check them and tell me if there is anyone here with weapons of such high caliber."
The two beasts' eyes widened, they could sense the ferocity and bloodthirst coming from these weapons, they couldn't fathom their full potential.
"King Akash Tagar, I will follow you with my beasts."
Red Mamba declared.
"You can continue from where we left off, why did you surrender when you love battles? Is it because you were afraid of my healing powers?"
Akash asked Red Mamba, who replied.
"Hmm, afraid wouldn't be correct word in this case."
"Oh, then what would?"
Akash inquired.
"Helpless."
Akash silently looked at Mamba with an expressionless face as Mamba continued.
"I'm not sure I could win against that evolved form of Black Dragon, but you defeated him in a manner no one would have even considered possible.
What I saw in the eyes of the dragon was not anger, instead it was sheer helplessness and disappointment. After witnessing it, it only strengthened my resolve in surrendering to you. There is a thin line between bravery and lunacy."
"I agree."
One-Eyed Wolf supported Mamba then looked at Akash and said his piece.
"Thank you once again for helping us, we came here resolved to die but your interference turned the tide."
He looked at Red Mamba and thanked him as well.
"I would like to thank you too, for not participating in the battle."
Red Mamba replied.
"I don't deserve your thanks, I only stopped because of this man over here. You are fearless, I'll give you that, but you are still nothing in front of me. I had come here with the intent to fully destroy you but instead, I met this man. Now, I've gained far more than I could've even imagined prior and for that I'd like to thank…"
Akash interrupted.
"No need! Instead, I'd like you to tell me which of you want to take the seat of Black Dragon.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

The Shattered Circle
Aleyr Frostborn has survived a hundred prophecies of her defeat, breaking each one by slaying the champions of light sent to kill her. Amongst the forces of good, her very name is a curse, and with good reason. Beyond her own evil, it is said that so long as she lives, the reign of the Godslayer himself will last: the lich king who the terrified masses call the King in Black. While the kingdoms and empires that surround the blighted lands of the undead lands struggle to survive and beat back the tide of evil, the machinations of the Eternal Kingdom's dark court barely contain the bitter struggles for power between the forces that have made it what it is. With one foretold hero brutally snuffed out, another will inevitably arise. For Aleyr, the cycle only further embitters her towards the gods of good and all those who serve them. But the truth is that her downfall might be something much closer to home than their prophecies, those last dregs of mortality beating inside her own chest. With a thoughtless intersection between cruelty and mercy, she begins a chain of events that threatens to tear the Eternal Kingdom and her own loyalties into shreds. After all, many things can be broken, not just prophecies.
