The commander did his best to make it sound like their country is doing something incredible. His voice sounded desperate as he explained himself to Wallace.

"Isn't it? We will surely defeat them once we learned everything about their powers… The other nations may become a sacrifice during this time but we have a good intention! We will avenge all the magicians that will die in this war and perhaps we can even attack their home planet once we settled everything here!"

The commander finished his speech as he looked at Wallace. He's trying to weigh whether his words are effective to this person.

However, his lies were too obvious.

The young man felt dismayed at this.

"So you're willing to sacrifice the people of other nations for the sake of the magicians that would be spared."
