Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 314

"This is crazy…"
Yumi couldn't calm down after hearing Ace's plan for the next few days. She didn't think that befriending this guy would lead her to be involved in such incredulous ambition…
"Associating with foreign beings?! Why should I help you with this? Isn't this a bit too dangerous?"
"Don't worry, I will be sending capable magicians to guard them… There's also Avalon and Veda monitoring this…"
"Veda?"
"Ah… Don't worry about it… Anyway, you don't have to get too involved there. I just want to ensure that there will be no issues or complaints from the Congress…"
"If it is about the Congress or the government itself… I'll have to coordinate with the others."
"I'll leave it to you…"
"Urgh… I have a lot of things to do, you know?"
"Eh? But Avalon told me that you've completed you're mission already and resting in your office?"
"What? I'm not resting… Ha! Alright, fine… I'll do it."
Yumi still gave in even though she was complaining. In truth, she was a bit curious as well about the Arians that Ace was talking about, who wouldn't be?
She just fears the possibility of Ace's plan being out of control. However, she trusts this mysterious young man and can only hope that if the Arians' existence was leaked to the public, it wouldn't cause too much of an impact on society.
After ending her conversation with the young man, she immediately started working…
"Right… I forgot to ask about the automatons…"
Ring! Ring!
Yumi heard her communication device ringing again. After seeing the written words to identify the caller, she smiled.
"Avalon! That was fast!"
[ Hello. Ace told me to help you for a while. ]
"Yes… Thank you… Right, my superiors seem to be interested in the automatons you guys made…"

[ It appears so. Did they ask you to procure one? ]
"Yes…"
[ We can show them one of the old ones we have. So you wouldn't be in an awkward position. ]
"Really! That would be helpful… Just make sure to remove any of your secrets from that automaton."
[ Of course. ]
"Great… Now I needed some help on my job so I can work on Ace's request."
[ Affirmative. ]

After a couple more days, all the preparation to send a group of Arians to Earth was completed.
"We will be using the Excellence, huh…"
"I'm more comfortable with Providence but it shouldn't matter that much."
"What are you guys saying? Excellence is more fitted in this type of mission."
One of the pilots or members of the Knights Division commented. They have different opinions on the spaceships that were made but it was understandable.
"The Excellence has a better catapulting system… I like how our Mech Knights can easily come out of the spaceship… It was unlike the Providence that has several procedures."
"Well… It has a different source of energy… There is a presence of… Aether, was it?"
"Yes… Aether… It seems to be some complicated form of energy… However, it makes the spaceship even stronger. You must remember that it could even compete with a giant spacecraft like Omen."
"Well, that makes sense…"
As the group of five pilots was chatting, the door to the room opened.
They were currently in a meeting room for the final briefing of their mission. After seeing the person who entered, they immediately stood and greeted her…
"Leader!"
"Just relax… Wallace is not here…"
Hilda smiled as she noticed them politely greeting her. All of them were actually older than her by at least five years so she felt a bit awkward. The five magicians were respecting not just because Wallace trusted her but also due to her piloting skills. It was like she was meant to pilot a Mech Knight.

"Alright!"
Everyone then relaxed since they weren't true soldiers but fellow magicians. Although they were aware that they were about to fight some foreign beings, they weren't worrying that much since some of the defense plans made by Wallace were leaked to them.
They were confident that if they followed Wallace's plan, everything would go smoothly. In case problems that they couldn't solve would rise, there were also plans to retreat on Earth. It is their home ground and many powerful magicians were stationed there.
There were Grand Sages, Grand Arcanist, and many other powerful magicians hiding in the capital… They were confident that it wouldn't reach the point where it would become similar to the game, Alien Invasion.
"Is it really just the six of us?"
"Yes… This mission wouldn't be difficult as we will work on their safety. We will be in our Mech Knights most of the time even when we're on Earth so keep that in mind."
"Are you aware of the Arians' mission down there?"
"Wallace didn't make it clear. However, it seems to be very important."
"Alright… I have no more questions."
Hilda briefed them as well about the level of secrecy in this mission. Although they were expecting that the arrivals of Arians on Earth would be leaked or revealed somehow, they had to at least try delaying it.
Finally, the day to start their mission arrived…
The Excellence was mostly manned by automatons and only has ten Mana Technicians aside from the six pilots.
In the end, Wallace met the six to give his blessings.
"Be careful… If any trouble came up, notify me or maybe Avalon. This is an important task but you have to ensure your safety. You can also coordinate with Yumi from the NMTI. Finally, enjoy your stay on Earth… It has been several months since you've been there. Ah! Remember about gravity down there…"
"Oh, right! Now that you mention it…"
"Gravity, huh…" Hilda smiled wryly after remembering it.
Although there are places in the Moon Base or spaceships that have artificial gravity, it wasn't everywhere…
They also have to get used to not having it since space battles in Mech Knights wouldn't require one… At the very least, the Mech Knights that they've brought with them would probably help them get used to the gravity since these Knights were sustained-float capable!
The Steel Knights or Iron Knights of other countries may not even be capable of sustained flights yet! It was something exclusive to the Knights since their Float Drive System now was way too advanced compared to the technology that Wallace sold to the public before.
"Alright… The Arians have already boarded and they're inside a special capsule at the moment so you won't meet them. Avalon will explain everything about the mission once you've successfully landed on Earth…"
"Is there any danger on this mission?" Hilda curiously asked since she noticed that Wallace was emphasizing the importance of their escort mission.
"Mhmm… It is less likely but we have to be prepared. But I can assure you that the danger that the Arians were facing was higher…"

Joie de Vivre
A modern man chased immortality and found it. In a mixture of good and bad luck, he was re-born as part of the Uzumaki clan from the Naruto-verse, some few years before their scheduled destruction. But if Daichi were the sort to allow a little thing like fate to get in his way, he'd never have survived in the first place. Dedicated, intelligent, chock full of ideas from a technologically advanced society, and perfectly willing to scorch the earth, he sets out to avert history. Can he avert canon, save the Uzumaki, and forge his people into a mighty nation? Or will he fail, dooming his clan to extinction? At the end of the day, all he wants is a good life. And considering even Death itself didn't stop him, he pities whoever gets in his way. ================== Tags: Naruto, Reincarnation, OC, eventual multi-cross. ================== Author's (Brief) Note: Back by popular demand. This was my first significant fanfic (and fic in general). I wasn't happy with the writing as time went on, and took it down, but years later am still getting requests to put it back up so I guess some people liked it. Newly re-released as I finish some minor editing, there are about 100,000 words (~360 RRL pages) already written, so releases should be fast until I catch up with the backlog. That said, it may languish in hiatus at that point if the interest isn't high enough to merit continuing, so if you're the type to only read finished stories (or ones where the author promises to do so), I am very specifically not promising that. On the other hand, if enough people read, like, review, comment, rate, etc. then it will get added to my writing schedule. Generally, the character is based on a “how badass could someone who hasn't done ridiculously crazy shit be? Or, how does someone with the potential, in another setting, with a lot of luck, to be a badass act and develop as a modern, productive member of society? And then how would they deal with the Naruto-verse?” Please, please do not judge my writing by this. Unless you really like it, in which case fine, do, but recognize my other writing is likely better (unless it’s that one MTG/ASoIaF/SW fic I did over on SB as a speed-writing experiment, which is also pretty terrible).
