Yumi complained while she read the reports from her subordinates. She's currently in her office covered with paperwork.

She just finished her recent mission at the Stella Region and was expecting a long rest after this… Unfortunately, her discovery seemed to have alarmed the higher-ups.

"Hmph… They have plenty of time to meddle with their private affairs… They should've just helped and donate their excess money to Wallace…"

Yumi was referring to her superiors at the NMTI who seemed to be interested in the current situation of the Seed Holdings based at the Stella Region.

This has been her mission for quite some time now but due to the many events that have happened, it has been postponed many times before she managed to investigate everything…

Seed Holdings was the same company that mines and processes Memory Crystals before being distributed to the country. This is where Wallace's father, Chase Ravencroft was working…

Yumi then heard the sounds of footsteps nearing her office. She frowned for a moment before she continued busying herself.

Yumi seems to be reluctant on meeting them but she can only resign to her fate.

After permitting them to enter, Yumi didn't have to see with her eyes and know that the people who visited her were the representatives of her superiors.

Three men in their thirties arrived and politely greeted Yumi who's currently showing her middle-aged lady's form.

"I've already sent my report… What more do you want?"

Yumi said exasperatedly.

"About that… We wanted to learn the method on how you managed to obtain this information… The Head wished to send another investigator…"

"What? They're not satisfied with it and want to confirm my report?"

Yumi felt some of her veins popping in anger… It wasn't easy for her to investigate such a large company guarded by a huge number of magicians.

It was extremely difficult for her to do it alone. She even had to ask for Avalon's help to assist her in bypassing their security…

If she was alone, it may have taken several more months before she learns the company's secret.

"I can't tell my method… Tell them that if they don't believe in my report then they can just dismiss it…"

"It's really an Ancient Arcane Technology that involves Memory Crystals as their medium… I've given the complete data… Although it can be very dangerous, I don't understand why those old men were acting like this…"

She grumbled at the representatives looking for their explanation.

"Sigh~"

One of them could only smile wryly and further explained their understanding of the current situation.

"That Arcane… as you are aware of, is a groundbreaking technology… If See Holdings successfully created it, it would change the current balance of Magicians and Non-Magicians…"

"Huh? Wouldn't it be more helpful if even normal people could utilize Mana?"

Yumi asked probingly. She wanted to know her superior's stance about this.

The technology she discovered after infiltrating the company was indeed something that many magicians didn't want to appear.

The official name they used to call the Arcane Technology was Summit Inheritence Pill…

It wasn't literally a pill but a Memory Crystal. However, the creation of these Memory Crystals wasn't simple. Apparently, it can be consumed even by normal people!

The side effects of consuming multiple memory crystals were already something that magicians had to be wary of. That was why only three crystals were allowed to be consumed by the government to avoid unnecessary deaths.

With all that said, the Seed Holdings was creating a Memory Crystal that can be consumed by normal people to become magicians!

It was amazing and truly groundbreaking! Even Wallace seemed to be interested in their project after Avalon passed the information to him… Unfortunately, this seemed to only be possible after two more years of trials and tests. After all, it would be hard to determine the side effects with only a few months of tests.

But in the eyes of the old magicians, two years would easily pass by… When that happens, they were expecting chaos, and they had to stop this from happening.

Yumi can only shake her head after hearing their reasons. She couldn't really blame them at this point since she doesn't know the future as well. However, she felt that they are being short-sighted. She believes that they should prepare to control the inheritance pill instead of just suppressing it at the early stages. After all, years would still pass before it can be sold to the public and there would be further research on the topic at that time.

"Anyway, I can't tell you the method of how I got the information… Is there anything else?"

"Yes… They also wanted you to have at least one of Traceless Hands' automatons to be examined at the Headquarters…"

"What?"

Yumi asked in confusion before she shakes her head and laughs it off…

"Alright, I'll ask him…" She wasn't serious when she said that and she just wanted to end their conversation right now.

It was truly a very mysterious piece of technology but Yumi had to move on from this topic since it wasn't something that she can't possess.

She suddenly heard her phone ringing after she escorted out the representatives…

"Eh? How unusual…"

The one calling her was Wallace… or Ace as he explained before… This man never tried contacting her unless it was work-related so Yumi took her time before she answered the call…

She thought of teasing him but his voice sounded really serious at this time.

"You want to do… what? Just what are you sending down here?"

Yumi was confused about the arrangements he was asking but she still listened carefully.

"Alright… I'll do what you said… However, you have to let me borrow Avalon for a day…"

"Sure… Why do want to borrow Avalon?" Ace asked after hearing the unusual request.

"I have tons of paperwork here… Avalon's intelligent right?"

"I don't know…"

"Haha… Anyway, just let me have Avalon for a day…"

Ace agreed with the request since Avalon has several mainframes located on Earth so it wouldn't really affect its processing speed.
