Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 292

Miya's sudden appearance changed the atmosphere within the plaza.
The gamers, whether they were a fan of her or not, couldn't help but focus their attention on her.
Miya's radiant smile and her red evening dress that perfectly accentuate with her pale skin could really draw anyone's attention even if she didn't use her Soul Arts.
She no longer has to identify herself as everyone here should be fully aware of her.
"Fellow Gamers, Fellow Sevens, we are here not only to witness the Game Master's Space Launch and take Simulation Exam... We are also here to celebrate the success of the Virtual World throughout the whole country. There will be a lot of rewards to be given later on, but for now... Let me gift you with a simple song..."
Everyone cheered after hearing that she was indeed going to perform.
Miya was fully aware of her task for today and she was satisfied with their welcoming atmosphere.
As soon as she started singing with her angelic voice, she swiftly spread out her Soul Arts and covered the whole plaza.
***
At the nearby cabin, Ace had been observing the whole event to analyze a little bit of this Soul Arts.
Unfortunately, he doesn't possess the mighty Divine Sense. He can only try to use his own Mana to familiarize himself with the Arts.
Although he knows how this ability works as his soul remembers it, there was a missing medium or perhaps the potion that would fully awaken such ability.
"Haaah~ What a waste..."
Ace also wanted to learn many things aside from being the techie guy.
He started practicing magic whenever he has the time as sometimes, the things that he needed to build require constant application of mana and he needed to be fully adept at utilizing them.
He thought that the Soul Art that Miya would use today would give him some inspiration to relearn the Divine Sense but it seems to be too difficult without the potion he consumed before.
He can only give up and observe the situation at the plaza.

"Young master... There seems to be a problem at the surroundings..."
"There might be a trap somewhere..."
These two voices came from the two Adept Mages that were also part of the Lucent Force. Their voices were heard by Aaron like the two were standing beside him. However, Aaron was still together with Gary and Humphrey and the two Adepts were nowhere to be seen.
"You guys are being paranoid. Did the exam take some of your intelligence? It may be hard to believe that Wallace has the time magic but you shouldn't think too much about it. It only shows how he takes this seriously."
Aaron answered to the two Peak Adepts hiding among the crowd. Well, it was better to say that they were disguised as normal magicians attending the event. It was true that they were shocked at the discovery of such precious magic, however, they truly felt that something was off at the plaza.
Luckily, there seems to be no harm being done as they only felt a slight discomfort at the start.
'No, it was more alarming if we can't sense that there was something wrong...'
They suddenly had this idea. They wanted to observe the surroundings in case there would be an ambush but the first song was already about to be finished and nothing happened.
They can only raise their vigilance and ensure the young master's safety.
However, as soon as the Celebrity Idol performed her second song, the intensity of the Soul Arts increased. The two Adepts noticed this and squinted their eyes.
This Soul Art was very gentle...
'So it was like that...'
They were aware of the powers behind the successful Idols, the existence of Soul Arts wasn't a secret after all.
However, Soul Arts should be weak to the point that it can only affect the mortals or the non-magicians. It should be barely capable of affecting Mana Practitioners much less for an Adept who had completed their Arcane Baptism.
If not for that, Aeolia wouldn't be too focused on studying the declining Soul Arts. Although he studied it as he saw potential in the Arts, he still had trouble expounding this Art.

Time passed like that and before he can make a major breakthrough in this mystical art, he just suddenly died.
In the end, the Soul Arts were still considered to be the weakest profession for the Mana Practitioners.
They can only affect the mortals making them suitable in handling worldly affairs.
But right now was a special situation, it was baffling that it could affect them...
'Is she one of the gifted practitioners?'
Apparently, Miya's comprehension with Soul Arts was top-notch even if it was compared to the powerful Soul Arts user in the past.
There was a reason that Miss Chamber had specially nurtured this young lady, after all.
Unfortunately, even Wallace wasn't exactly sure how good Miya was since he had no one to compare to, aside from the current headmaster.
It was also inappropriate to compare the headmaster's comprehension in the Arts with a student that was only studying it for a few years.
'Haah~'
That two Peak Adepts sighed after understanding the situation. So they relaxed their minds and let the Soul Art cover them.
In any case, they would feel whether there was any ill intent in this Soul Art. Time passed and they could only feel the gentleness that the Idol was spreading out to everyone. It seems that she just truly wanted them to relax and calm their minds.
"This feels good..."
It wasn't really bad for them to experience this as it has been a long time since they felt something like this...
"I see... So that was why the non-magicians were so willing to attend any Idol's concert. They were indulging in this comfort..."
Apparently, this event created new fans for Miya.
***
Ace had seen everything and was satisfied with the result.
"Impressive... She really did it..."
He didn't underestimate Miya's ability but he was still surprised to see that even without his help, he managed to affect the two Peak Adepts at the plaza.
Anyway, he readied all the rewards he will be giving to the players who attended today.
He truly appreciated these people as there was no way to conduct his test without their presence here. After all, there was no way he would place the QBCS in the VR Pods.
He would later contact the magicians that passed his requirements to be a pilot or people that were capable of manning the battleships.
He had all check their backgrounds, they were all Combat Magicians and Mana Technicians that were seeking power.
All the people present here weren't those who would be satisfied just by working in a factory doing fabrication or working at a security company and guard some building or just to escort someone forever.
They all desired to be different in some ways.
They were all people who wanted to explore the unknown and face challenges which something that Wallace understands.
Well, they wouldn't be in the top 500 if that wasn't the case.
In the meantime, he can now end the celebration and after giving out some gifts, he would let them know that the Excellence has already arrived on the surface of the moon.
He plans to show them some glimpse of the surface, enough to ignite their curiosity and willingly sign up for the next expedition.
Anyway, the game's new update would also give them some ideas about it.
"I'll be going ahead of our plans... Wallace was still not contacting me about his situation in that continent... I wonder if he's having a good time there... Haah~"
Ace shakes his head as he takes a glance at Avalon who was already working on building the foundation of the Moon Base.
This will be their Space Fleet's main headquarters in the future.
But for now, Wallace has twelve days to deal with the Empire's vanguard so he had to bring their forces there even though it wasn't completely built yet.

Candor: The Forgotten House
*** Please read note below *** As a 16-year-old mage from a powerful family, Jayce Candor had known from a young age what his future would hold. As the fourth son in his family the possibility of him becoming the heir to the household was very small. But, with his talent as a mage, his potential accomplishments in the military could lead to titles of nobility and political power. However, on what would otherwise be an unremarkable night, everything he had ever known, the only people he ever cared for, and all of the plans for his future were destroyed. House Candor, one of the six great houses that helped build the Eldoran Empire had been erased from history. By imperial decree, all those bearing the name Candor were hunted down and executed as traitors of the Empire. With no home, no family, and only death waiting for him, Jayce decided to escape north to the uncharted Northern Territories to begin a new life. Forced into situations he was never prepared for and trying to cope with his past, Jayce tries to find safety in a place spoken about only in legends. There for the first time, he will make true friends and find people he will come to see as family. He will encounter strong enemies, build powerful alliances, and become a person his ancestors would be proud of. But surrounded by creatures he thought only existed in tales and pressed by the Empire’s constant expansion, Jayce’s safety may be only an illusion. To survive a world fraught with danger Jayce will need to grow stronger with each new experience and rebuild his once forgotten house. ********************************************************************** Note: The story starts slow. Although there is more action as the story progresses, there is a fair amount of introspection and character introduction in the first 30 chapters. Jayce is the main character, however, other characters play a large role and the story is seen through multiple POV's. This is a draft, it is not a finished work. This is not a story that focuses on an OP MC who beats up on weaklings. At times there can be a fair amount of internal monologue. Some of that may be edited out when I rewrite the story. I decided to keep it in the draft because I think it is better to have too much material rather than too little when I edit. Constructive criticism is appreciated as it helps in the editing and rewriting process. Check out my other story Shattered Mind here
