Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 276

Ace was also observing the current event as he was curious about the rocket system that they have created.
He wanted to know whether it would have enough force to bypass the film of energy protecting the entire planet or would there be any problems during its flight at all.
Ace was already aware that the energy utilized using the Cube of Paradox to wrap the entire planet wouldn't be destroyed even if several spacecraft was launched to the outer space as confirmed by Veda. The most that it would do was stretch a bit of its energy and it would fill the gap created by launching a spacecraft.
"Avalon, based on the information provided by your friend... Do you think it would be possible for them to succeed?"
[ Yes, it is possible. They only have a 42% chance of failing. However, I'm unable to calculate some variables. The presence of the three Sages and two Arcanists may even lower the chance of failure. ]
Avalon can now quantify the strength of some mana formations or arrays it has on its records, however, it would still be tough to calculate the magician's ability.
"Wait? Do they only have a 58% chance to succeed without the magician's ability? Isn't that a bit too low? That's reckless..."
[ They don't have enough information about the problem passing through the mesosphere. Based on the records that we gathered while descending to the surface, the spaceship has encountered a thick film of unknown energy that was unidentifiable during that time. That energy was the one that caused severe damage to the spaceship and it has a high chance of being the violent mana also known as Mana Calamity, as suggested by Veda. ]
"They should also be aware of that..."
[ Yes... However, we are the only ones who possess very effective energy that could easily protect the spaceship from any damages caused by this mana. ]
Avalon was referring to the improved Ion-Sting Reactor he copied from Lotus Mech Frame. Apparently, they found out that the Radiant Wave Spectrum Technology was effective with dealing with violent mana.

"I see... That may be the reason why they brought an Arcanist... I'm thinking that someone brought an Arcana to increase their chances of succeeding."
Ace was no longer clueless about the powers possessed by the Sages and Arcanist thanks to Veda who almost has everything kept in its database.
The limit of many Mana Practitioners who dabbled in combat and forging were either an Adept Mage or an Arcane Artificer. If the practitioner wasn't talented enough, then they wouldn't even pass the Arcane Baptism to reach this level. It only means that the five people tasked to man the spaceship was very important to the two clans and giving them powerful Arcana wasn't surprising just for this event to be successful.
They were very strong individuals but few in numbers and they possess mystical means to survive many life-threatening situations. Their possession of Arcana may also prove very effective if they have a very suitable one for their current situation.
"Very well... It's almost time."
Ace said as he observes the event while also checking up the venue where his own big event would take place.
He didn't want to idle around while he was aware that a lot of things must be handled for tomorrow's event.

The five magicians have now arrived at the platform that they could use to enter the space shuttle.
The shuttle was steely white, cylindrical, and it was attached to a rocket triple its size.
It was quite a view to the people who had only seen this for the first time.
"Everyone..."
A middle-aged man with deep blue eyes said to get the attention of the other four. All of them were wearing their spacesuits so only their faces can be seen.
"I don't have any encouraging words prepared but we have all waited for this day... Let's just do everything we can to make this successful."
"Yes, captain!"
"Of course... We will be the first people going out of this world! Let's do this!"

The four answered and nodded in agreement with their captain.
Their group has made a lot of preparations for this event and the two clans already had previous success for sending something out of the planet.
Even though it was the first shuttle in outer space with humans in it, the engineers or artificers assigned to create this spacecraft and rocket weren't simple. It was even supervised by one of the three Grand Arcanist.
The vast resources and Secret Arts that the two clans possess have allowed them to ensure that everything would be safe and successful as long as the five followed everything that has been taught to them...
"Very well... Let's make this event etched in the world's history!"
The captain said as he confidently entered the spacecraft followed by the other four.
The room inside of the space shuttle was a bit more simple than many had expected and the most eye-catching part of it was the two cards placed at the center of the shuttle. It was covered by a spherical glass...
"Check the two Arcanas..." The captain said referring to the two cards.
"Mhmm... Nothing's wrong... They look perfect..."
"Very well. Send the signal."
After taking a seat and ensuring that they fastened themselves carefully, they gave the signal to the command center and started the countdown for their space flight.
***
Several hundred meters away from the space shuttle, the people watching the event live saw that the rocket lit up and started spewing smoke.
They noticed that bright light started emanating from the bottom of the rocket as it started to lift up.
The noise and shockwave it created astounded many people, whether they are magicians or not.
"I didn't imagine that this would be this eye-catching... I wonder how would Wallace fly that big Excellence up there? I forgot to ask about that..."
Yumi suddenly said after seeing the rocket starting to gain speed as it flies through the sky. She hadn't seen rockets attached to the battleship he made so she was curious.
"Whoa... This seems similar to the low-level technology that we acquired within the game..." Hilda suddenly muttered which caught the attention of the other four in her group.
"That seems to be correct... However, does it mean that Traceless Hands has insider information?" Ray Penber asked after having the same conclusion with Hilda.
"Isn't that obvious? All the technology and magic within the game were all top class... Giving various items, Secret Arts, and other important knowledge could not be done by just anyone. They should be powerful people in the upper class. Commoners like us wouldn't have a chance like this if not for their help..."
Escanor said. It was already something within his mind for a while now.
"Wait--- Look at that!"
Shirley suddenly exclaimed as she noticed that after the rocket reaches about 75-80 kilometers altitude, the rocket turned to a big bright light before disappearing.
***
"What happened?!"
One of the directors supervising this whole project asked after the space shuttle suddenly disappeared from their radar.
It just vanished after the bright light or the small explosion.
Well, a bit of an explosion was somewhat expected because it should be the second rocket system that was being activated.
Its rocket system wasn't just created using advanced technology but it has more of a mana spell to help the shuttle to sustain its flight... However, it shouldn't cause problems like this.
"Check the two Arcanas for any signs of activation! Hurry!"
The director said after getting lost for a moment.

Thomas the Brawler
Thomas doesn't remember what his last name was, before it became Bluebrim, a name belonging to another universe. He's also pretty sure he wasn't this stupid before he arrived, but what can you do, when a day that was supposed to begin with an interview to set your life back on track instead begins in a universe that makes no sense, with rules you can't begin to understand? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the avatar creation screen ... Content warnings: All of them. Seriously. Expect lots of blue screens to begin with. Don't expect a power-leveling fantasy, in which the lone hero beats up all the bad guys, and gets a harem of women. There's just a guy who treats character creation like an annoying series of pop-up advertisements, and the story is basically the ramifications of that. The main character has to learn to take the world he's found himself in seriously, and he'll learn the way most of us do, by doing it wrong first. This is, insofar as it is successful, a dark comedy fantasy. Also a bit of horror, particularly but not exclusively body horror. I'm pretty sure I've earned those Content Warning tags, so, uh, yeah. This is practice. Hopefully things improve as I go, and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I make no guarantees things will ever get better. I've already made mistakes, I'll make more, and I'm happy to notice them each time I make them. You don't improve unless you fail. (On the plus side, it probably won't get much worse.) Feel free to point out anything you think I'm doing wrong; I don't promise to change anything, particularly if it's a matter of taste, but I am looking to improve, and figuring out what I need to improve goes faster if I don't have to try to figure it out myself. I've updated the earlier chapters for formatting, in the hope that it would make everything easier to read on mobile devices. Hopefully things work slightly better now, but please let me know if there are any issues anywhere.
