Wallace was impressed by Avalon since it only took about 15 seconds to take over the building's control system.
'This was the prince's tower. Luckily, Avalon was more advanced than the prince's technology.'
Wallace said in his mind as Avalon was one of the latest artificial intelligence in the galaxy before he arrived here.
The prince's technology could not be ignored but it was behind by about a century so he didn't have to worry about any technical problems inside this building unless it was at Veda's level.
A creaking noise was suddenly heard as Slaine glanced at the thick metal door that was slowly opening.
"Impressive... What did you do?"
"I have a tool prepared for this kind of situation. I can't use my senses deep inside... How about you, master?"
"Not quite well. Let's find something to light up this place... Mana seems to be unusable in this place..."
Wallace noticed that detail as well. Avalon also reported that it detected something similar to the technology they made. It was a field generator to stop mana from entering this place.
They made this similar technology before and its aim was for the nuclear fission not to be affected by the ever present mana.
'Wait... This place doesn't seem to be an abandoned structure.. It's clean and there's a warm temperature inside.'
From the moment they entered the tower, the temperature had dropped by many degrees and it was getting worst the deeper they get.
The reason that no one was complaining was due to their mana coat or protection on their bodies keeping their temperature at the right level.
'This... Is there someone taking care of this place? Another A.I.? Perhaps one of the prince's creation...'

Wallace wasn't sure so he can only guess. Then, he suddenly froze as he just realized that the prince might've actually returned here when things calmed down.
The young man looked at his master who was trying to find a way to light up the room before he remembered that he was the only one with a superb vision here even at dark places.
The Grand Arcanist might also have a trick to improve his vision but it probably requires mana...
"Avalon... I can't find any switch. If you can check the system-"
Lights came up before he even finished his words.
[ Lights has been turned on. ]
Avalon reported.
As expected, almost everything was controlled by the system here so he had to rely on Avalon's ability.
The two observed the room curiously. It was a clean and small room with only a few things that can be seen.
There were four chairs facing a glass window at the front and as soon as the light opened up, Wallace noticed that a hidden table filled with various keys or buttons appeared in front of the chairs.
'What's with this room...'
He suddenly glanced at the window but it was very dark. He can only see a silhouette of another structure outside.
"Is this a control room?"
There was a small door on their left side beside the glass window but Wallace felt a bit hesitant about opening it.
It feels like he will unveil something terrible once they opened the door.
"Avalon... Try to find a way to light up the room beyond this glass."
[ Affirmative. ]
While Wallace was instructing his A.I., Slaine actually went out of the small room to do something else. He returned to his previous position when he arrived here and pulled something out of his pocket.
The young man only observed his master and didn't ask any unnecessary questions.
He then noticed that the man used one of his abilities to summon five golems.

They were humanoid creatures made with steel and mostly stones.
They looked like experts in combat seeing their unique build and weapons attached to them.
Something that was lacking a bit on Wallace's automatons. His Elysiums were made to be workers and only a little part of its system was for combat purposes. Its build was even more simpler unlike these golems that were filled with equipment.
"They look strong..." Wallace commented after seeing the golems.
"Of course. After all, I'm showing my strongest golems."
"So that's why they look impressive and giving of a threatening aura... Strongest, huh. Master, did you brought other golems with you?"
"Yes... I can pull them out depending on the situation. Why?"
"I'm wondering if I could study them..."
"Haha... Even if I let you borrow them. You might have trouble understanding how they works. You have to at least possess a little background about Arcana. This isn't just a simple automaton..."
Wallace smiled at this. At the very least, he was given a chance. Once he learned more about the Arcana, he will surely ask his master again.
"Good..."
Slaine suddenly said after the golems he summoned was able to enter the room together with him.
He observed them for a moment and noticed that they were working fine except for one thing.
It seems that summoning out or utilizing Mana was the only problem after entering the room.
Although his golems could no longer use their mana, they can still exist and function a little.
"Alright... What did you find, Wallace?"
The young man paused for a moment as Avalon had also found out everything about this room and reported it to him.
"Well, it seems that its better for us to see."
Wallace smiled as he opened the door on the left leading further inside.
At the same time, the lights was also turned on and blinding them a little.
They were now looking at a very spacious room. No, very spacious doesn't seem to be enough to describe it as they seem to have entered a large stadium.
In front of them was a gigantic red and black battleship made of unknown steel and they couldn't even easily see its end. It was giving off an ancient aura as being in front of it even gives a little pressure.
"Roughly 1 km in length..."
Wallace muttered after seeing the huge battleship. Its design was already identified by Avalon.
"So it was really here... The one that brought the prince's group on this planet...'
"W-what kind of vessel is this? Why is it located deep underground?"
"I have a rough idea but it will be a long story, master."
Wallace decided to tell everything he knows or perhaps he will also provide him a translated copy of the Prince's logbook. It would easily help him in explaining many things.
"Hmm... So you know something, huh..."
"Only a little... I'm still unaware of many things about this place."
"Very well... Have you detected any life presence or any automaton controlling this place?"
"No, but there should be something or someone taking care of this place..."
"That's correct. This place was unusually clean and warm."
They wanted to check the battleship in front of them and other rooms on the side but before that...
Thud... Thud... Thud...
They suddenly heard some footsteps approaching them. It didn't come inside this huge hangar but from behind them.
"Ho~ So, someone has really managed to bypass my security. I thought that my alarm was just malfunctioning..."
An old voice was suddenly heard behind them and he sounded more amused than annoyed about their intrusion here.

Blood Quest - A LitRPG
Leon's family has been diagnosed with a new type of incurable blood disease. It's an absolute death sentence and when it turns aggressive, you only have a few more years of painful life left to live. His mother has just begun the last years of the disease when a person supposedly comes back from death with supernatural abilities. He talks about a choice you get after death--get an extra chance to come back to life, or die. Even with Leon's diminishing life span, he won't consider the option of going there, until he meets another survivor who had the same goal as him and succeeded. Leon has a choice to make—die now for a chance to save his mother, or die in a few years, where the disease rapidly melts his muscles from his own body. He enters a game-like world, a sort of limbo, where his ultimate goal is to climb the tower of Katastroph before his mother's time runs out. There are a few problems with this though. The tower is almost impossible to beat, if you die you won't revive, and only three people in over twenty years have actually made it back. Leon has two years to climb the tower, with the help of the few people willing to try, while Ai, the tutorial guide, makes things harder for them. ***** The story starts pretty dark but goes onto a lighter tone. Then (more) dark again. Disclaimer: This story is an experimental project and I hope to get any and all feedback you can give me. Warning: First draft. Chapters tend to be between 3400-4100 words long (about 8-11 A4-pages). Mentioning it since I've seen it in other fictions :P Sometimes they're shorter, sometimes they're longer. ******************************** CHAPTER RELEASES UPDATE: As the first "book" in the series is done, I'm going to release coming chapters somewhat sporadically, and when Writathon ends, I'll probably go back to publishing one chapter per weekend. We'll just have to wait and see! I hope you enjoy the story! I really appreciate all comments and feedback, so if you have anything to say, feel free to voice it :) ************ [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Not as it seems
Stranded inside the world he'd been writing about for years, Arwen is left at the mercy of the characters and setting he'd so lovingly created. Now trapped and powerless save for his knowledge of the secrets the world holds, he has to find his way back home. Hopefully to make it there in one piece. But things aren't going to be easy, as the further he plunges into his world, the more he will realize things aren't quite what he thought them to be. This story is a case study on a realistic approach to isekai as well as what it means to "know" someone / something, and to "KNOW" them. There will be hard themes and uncomfortable truths, and just like with real life, it will show things as they are unfiltered.
