Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 249

Wallace and his team have now reached the floor where his Divine Sense was being greatly suppressed by another form of energy.
"Wallace?"
Yumi called his name after noticing that he went silent after reaching their current floor. The floor they were at was still looking similar to the other floors above so they weren't sure if he found any problems.
"Nothing, let's continue but we'll have to slow down our pace this time..."
"Understood!"
"Elaine, do you know his current location?"
"Lower floor and I can sense that he was now moving. He probably sensed our presence..."
"That's good to hear..."
If Percival can move around, it means that he either managed to defeat the enemies that brought him here or there were no enemies, to begin with.
It was good news. Once they saw the man, they can just quickly leave this ominous tower.
They fought against many more chimeras but because of their number, they can quickly finish them off. Luckily, the chimeras around here were not living in groups as it seems that they all have their own territory that they are protecting.
They were also encountering many mutated insects and arachnids around and these creatures are the ones who always assemble in large numbers to attack their prey, but luckily, they managed to easily defeat them as they found their weakness, the heat generated by fire.
Within this damp and dark tower, the existence of fire greatly weakens the living monsters.
Haaa... Haaa...
Clint was already getting tired of using his artifact. After all, he was the most adept at using fire elemental spells. Wallace can also use his laser guns but it doesn't have a scattered mode yet as it was only a focus fire. It wasn't as effective against a group of insects.
He can use his Lightning Break, but he can only defeat those in front of him unlike Clint's Flame Cover, Blazing Luminous, and Fire Wave which could scatter its attack and defend in all sides.

"Can I borrow your artifact?"
Wallace asked after they manage to arrive in a safe place. He saw that Clint was already exhausted so he wanted to at least help the man. This way, it would also lessen the breaks they have to take.
"This is a 6th Gen mana artifact. Although I can let you borrow this, it will be difficult for you to use it."
Clint realized Wallace's intention. If not for Hannah and Elaine's various support spells, he may be unable to continue his skill usage so he understands the young man's worry.
"It should be fine..."
Clint no longer asks more questions and handed his right hand's gauntlet.
Wallace wore it on his right hand and it automatically fitted on his hands as he felt the power it possesses.
He silently used one of his item's spell to identify the gauntlet.
[ Glimpse of the Mind ]
The information about the artifact was suddenly revealed to Wallace.
[ Onyx Dragon Gauntlet
A gauntlet made from the scales of a draconic beast and phantom alligator's leather.
Effects:
- Contains 5 Fire Elemental Mana Spells and 10 Earth Elemental Mana Spells
- Low Cold Resistance
- Low Heat Resistance
- Reform - due to Spirit Channelling, the gauntlet can reform to its original state by itself even if it was destroyed or damaged given enough time.
Quality:
- Rank B - Mid-Grade Sixth Gen Artifact.
A gift from Arcanist K to Clint. ]
Wallace read the information and was impressed by each spell it has. With this weapon, any Adepts could easily utilize its full potential and be powerful in combat.
Unfortunately, the fact that only limited individuals were capable of creating a 6th gen artifact, many people would still rely on the high-grade 5th gen mana artifacts as their main weapon.
After all, they can still be found as long as you possess some money. Not only that, but the "Series" like Archon, Royal, Enchant, and the others were also constantly improving their spells so it wouldn't be a problem to still continue purchasing their products.

"This is a good weapon..." Wallace muttered.
"Of course... It's the second 6th gen that I have."
After this, they continued their way and Wallace took over the job of using fire spells to block any of those mutated insects trying to eat them.
**
Slaine couldn't enter the door as he tried various things to open it up.
Unfortunately, he was not being recognized as someone authorized to enter the room.
"What's inside this place? This device is still working up until now, intriguing..."
The Grand Arcanist muttered as he was impressed by the technology.
He looked around and knows that this room wasn't cleaned or used for many years.
He was also unsure how this electronic device used to identify people was still working despite the many years that have passed.
He was trying to think of possible solutions like forcefully destroying the metal door to enter the place but energy similar to what the Celestials used was blocking his spells.
He tried using many spells but he only managed to scratch off a small amount of its energy. If he wanted to completely remove it, he has to spend several months working on it.
Sigh~
He was getting out of options but he realized that something was happening inside this tower and he wanted to wait and see what was about to unfold.
He waved his hands and the previous dirty and dusty room was instantly cleaned. The wind carried the specks of dirt away from this room.
Then, with a flick of his fingers, two golden humanoid golems suddenly appeared in front of him as they served the Grand Arcanist to make him comfortable while he was waiting for something to happen.
"This earthquake... It's not natural."
The earth trembles again as Slaine
muttered this.
There was nothing to do in the meantime so he closed his eyes and waited for the time to pass.
***
"He's close..." Elaine suddenly said while her eyes were closed. She was trying to concentrate so she can easily feel the headmaster's presence somewhere on this floor.
"It's fine. I found him but..."
Wallace suddenly said making everyone sigh with relief. His senses were truly reliable.
"But?"
Yumi knows that the man has something more to say.
"They're being followed. We have to get ready..."
"They? Who's with him?"
"I'm not sure but there's another mana fluctuation close to him. Further behind them seems to be another chimera but this time, it was part human."
Their faces turned grim as this was something they do not want to happen.
After they saw the chimeras, they already had a hunch that the one who made them can surely use humans as well to increase the intelligence of his creations.
'Just what kind of desire did they have to create such abominations.'
Yumi couldn't understand the purpose of this tower. She couldn't understand why there were so many chimeras living here and why they were even made in the first place.
"Urgh... I don't care anymore. Let's just save him for now... Clint and Hannah, ready your one-time use Mana Artifacts for our escape..."
"Understood!"
Soon, they saw Percival and another lady running together with him as they were being followed by a half-human and half-snake being. They can also see that there were green and large bat wings behind the existence.
Percival also recognized their group but instead of being happy, he was worried about them because of the creature behind.
"Careful! Mana won't work on this guy!" He warned everyone as they continued their run.
Yumi and the others understood Percival since it wasn't that unexpected to have such another abnormal creature living here.
Luckily, they have someone in their midst who doesn't just rely on mana to fight against these creatures.

He is the hail mary or kitchen sink of the universe and it will be up to him to adapt to his new world and become strong enough to survive and to save the universe. ********* Author's Note ********* This is my first published book so feedback would be appreciated. A couple of caveats. First this story is about the details, if you don't enjoy reading and finding the easter eggs or just like to speed read through the chapters you will probably not enjoy it. Second for those that do not like the Harem tag I just want to state that this is going to be a matriarchal society and the women will outnumber the men 5-1. That being the case and because of the culture that I imagine would arise from this I felt it fair to put that tag out there. However, the main character isn't going to be picking up women left and right. This is not a typical harem story. Image was googled so I have no rights to it
