Wallace was curious about the progress of the old man. He knows that the job will be very difficult so he didn't want to really disturb him.

The most that he can do for now was to wait for him to have a rest and take that chance to offer some help.

"Avalon, what was the doctor doing right now?"

[ The doctor was seated and looking something on the table. ]

"No, no... I'm just curious. Just continue with your work."

Wallace had been monitoring the doctor through Avalon inside his room so he would immediately know if the old man was truly resting. 

A couple of days had passed and the old man went outside to get some fresh air.

Wallace took this chance and asked for the man's progress.

"Hoho~ I'm almost there... Right, can you get me some human... I need to test some of my progress..."

'Test the Secret Art?' Wallace was confused but he suddenly realized that it was indeed normal to try it out on other test subjects first before trying it to him. 

"This... Where would I get them?"

"Oh... You don't have a channel for that? Nevermind it... I'll make a call with someone to bring me a few... Would that be fine?"

"Well, I wonder what kind of people will be sent?"

"Don't worry... They should be prisoners with no hope of getting out in their cells. Also, you don't have to pay for that... I'll handle the expenses... They are expensive since they are magicians but I can get a discount on that..."

Wallace could only nod at this as he asked him if there anything that he could help to hasten the progress of his study. 

In the end, what the doctors needed right now was a different vessel or another test subject. 

The doctor wanted to ensure that he wouldn't make any mistake once he did the operation real-time. 

It wasn't just his reputation at stake but Wallace's life...

"Do you think my life would be in danger?"

Wallace only sighed at this since he was aware that the doctor knows what he was doing. He didn't planned to stop him and consented it. This is also for his sake. 

In their conversation yesterday, he already realized that this wasn't the first time the doctor used convicts in his practices. 

Wallace even asked Veda to learn some of this world's deepest secrets.

He learned how theslavery was still active in other countries and continuous human experimentations were being practiced.

There was also a country that focuses their might in their naval power. That country was even making powerful missiles at this moment to ensure their "safety" in any external threat.

He also learned that the Mage Towers that can be found throughout the whole country of Montego was made through the sacrifice of about four thousand magicians and over ten thousand non-magician humans more then 50 years ago. 

As for his country, one of worst thing that Veda has in its database was how the leaders of the government was secretly copying the method of creating the Sealed Mana Artifacts. 

Wallace already knows how those things were somehow made and as he looked into its detail, he remembered his sister Clarice's assignment in the military...

"Sigh~ That should be enough... It's not good to know too much of these. They have their own method of handling things. As long as the Grand Arcanists were truly aiming to improve the mankind's power, then I should cooperate a little."

Wallace realized that every one of them were trying to increase their power due to the unknown threat. They are not just building their power just for the sake of creating it.

"I'll wait for several days... I hope that he'll finish this quick."

A couple more days had passed as the VR pod for the non magicians were fully released to the public!

"Wow! Can we really play alongside magicians?!"

"That's true... Did you not see the ads?"

This was easily completed with Avalon's help. 

Anyway, the salvager can be said to be one of the most interesting professions they could take within the game since they will be in constant travels and easily exposed to the Dorssian Empire's soldiers just to retrieve the wreckage of some machines or others important metals and resources for the stronghold.

They were assigned to take on the role of getting the supplies needed by their fort and be in constant danger... They can sometimes be guarded by magicians but it will only be in the beginning for them to get used to it...

Their weapons were also unique since they can equip modified weapons of the empire.

Within the game, if they brought a weapon from a wreckage that can be easily repaired... They will have a chance to obtain it for themselves.

Aside from that, Wallace made sure that the other professions can bring the players fun while teaching them something that they will be needing in the future. 

As for the rest, it will be up to the players to find what was their worth and how they can help eliminating the Dorssian Empire in their own ways.

A week and a half had passed and Wallace suddenly received a message from the Mage Doctor.

[ I'm ready. ]

He read the message and took a deep breath before using his Void Phase to appear outside the doctor's room.
