Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 223

Wallace was about to visit the room where the Mage Doctor was working but he suddenly noticed that the young girl playing the game disconnected from the Virtual World.
It can easily be noticed since there will be a glowing white light on the VR Pod if the gamer was playing inside. It will naturally turn off if the player disconnected.
Wallace was sure that his Divine Sense felt that it was a little girl lying comfortably inside but when she was about to open her pod, she probably noticed his presence and the young girl became a young lady in her twenties...
"Oh, Wallace. You're no longer busy? That took you some time!"
Yumi greeted the man as she gently moves out of the VR pod. Her small dress no longer fits her current body showing her white unblemished skin.
The lady version of her would definitely not lose out to Miya, as a matter of fact, her mature beauty was even more attractive in Wallace's opinion.
Of course, he didn't forget that this lady should be around the age of her cousin, the Headmaster Percival...
Anyway, Wallace greeted her back and asked.
"Why are you here?"
"Ah? Already on business, huh. You're in a hurry? Fine..."
"Not really... I'm just curious, you never visited me before..."
"Is that so? Well, I have an important matter to discuss. I'll prepare my things first, we can discuss this as well after we eat our dinner..."
It seems that the lady already got used to eating here as it felt natural for her to say that.
"Very well..."
He was about to end their conversation but he suddenly remembered something.
"By the way, how was your influence within the NMTI?"
The sudden question confused her. Her position was well known by the kid, and he must be able to tell her influence with that.
"Huh? Just so-so..."
Yumi just answered halfheartedly but after she saw that Wallace wasn't satisfied and was about to leave, she added...
"I'm very influential if I'll use my background within the NMTI! As long as it's within NMTI's scope of the job, I can even move 5-10 branches for my cause, impressive right?"
The lady proudly announced and Wallace was satisfied at hearing this. As expected to an Adept with such a high-level body transformation skill.
"Hmm... If that's the case... Avalon, let her read a part of the translated book..."

[ Should we remove the blueprint's part? ]
"Correct..."
Avalon complied as an Elysium came to bring a device containing an online copy of the translated logbook of Prince Zaimphail.
"What's this all about?" Yumi asked as she was lost at the two's conversation.
"Nothing, make sure to read that before we meet at dinner later."
"Really? I'll try... if it's not interesting then don't blame me for not finishing it." She was telling the truth, it wasn't her thing to read some books. It bores her a lot.
Wallace was satisfied at this as he left Yumi under Avalon's care and proceeded to meet the old man.
"Avalon... You mentioned that he's Charles Mavis... Do I have any blood relation with him?"
[ No information found in public data but Veda provided details that he should be your mother's great grandfather or as it says in the papers it found. ]
"Papers? Alright..."
'I'll be asking him as well to make sure about that. Anyway, he probably knows my identity too so he might be the one telling the story without me asking...'
Wallace thought as he walked outside the room dedicated to the Mage Doctor.
It seems that Avalon had informed the man already as he opened the door to meet Wallace.
"Hello, Sir Mavis. I'm Wallace. I'm sorry that I only had time to meet you today."
"That's fine... You can just call me Grandpa Charles... Hahaha!"
The old man seems to be happy as he laughed wholeheartedly.
"Grandpa? Haha... Indeed. Although I'm not fully aware of our family situation... if you don't mind calling you that then I shouldn't too..."
But honestly, he felt that he should call the old man as 'ancestor' instead. He was sure that this man was a living fossil.
Soon, the Mage Doctor excitedly got into the business. He was eager to discuss the Flowing Spirit that he was trying to learn. His age didn't matter as it excites him whenever he discovers something new.
Although he hadn't received the full Secret Art yet, Avalon had given him more than half and this made him look forward to the time when he learned it fully.
He already passed the A.I.'s test and it was just waiting for confirmation with Wallace to continue the transferring of knowledge.
The Secret Arts almost defied what he had learned about human life. He had never thought that it was possible for a living person to keep another life. He thought that it was only a legend or a fantasy created by the imaginations of the hopeful people.

"So... the Flowing Spirit can really help preserve life. No, not preserving but cloning life..."
The old man said as he was explaining what he learned.
"Mhmm... That's what I realized as well. Based on the first part of the Art... it states that a man was composed of soul, spirit, and body. The Secret Art can be used to either completely transfer the soul and spirit to a different body or it can be used to take a small part of the soul and spirit to be transferred to another vessel."
"I assume that you want this second function, right?"
Charles confirmed since Avalon already hinted this before.
"Yes... That's correct."
"Very well... If you can give me the complete Secret Art then I only needed a month or less and we can perform the operation..."
The man was filled with confidence. He was truly a good laborer.
"Is that true?"
Wallace was truly impressed at this. But part of him was also worried that the man was rushing things...
"Don't worry, it depends on the compatibility of the spirit and soul to the new vessel. Avalon told me that the other body that will be used had a 99% compatibility rate if not 100%... Is that right?"
"That's correct..."
Wallace remembered that it was indeed the case. With his previous body, there shouldn't be any form of rejection that will happen and it will lessen the probability of failing...
Anyway, he had to give him some time to truly master the Art and he will even make some arrangements to try experimentations before performing it to him to ensure its safety.
The two chatted more for a while as Charles only talked about the Arts. No discussion about their clan at all.
Wallace didn't mind that since he instructed Avalon to coordinate with Veda to ensure that the old man doesn't have any ill intentions against him.
Wallace offered to have dinner with him together with Yumi but the old man requested that he'll eat within the workshop as he was still in the middle of experimentation.
The young man nodded as he went into the dining room and met with Yumi.
"Did you read the book?"
"Yeah... Is this another plot for your game? Well, the Alien Invasion was already good. I heard that you are earning from there for quite a lot."
"Eh?"
"I mean... Is this your hobby? I think you should focus more on Artifact Forging. You are the 5th apprentice, remember?"
Yumi was actually impressed at the book. She was thinking that it was a part of his materials to be included inside the game.
"That's true, but..."
"I heard that the apprentices of a Grand Arcanist learn the method to create the 6th gen artifact. Don't you think that you should maximize this skill? You can try practicing it, you know?"
"T-this..."
Wallace wasn't sure what to say to the young lady. Of course, he doesn't have plans to let this woman think as she likes. He would explain it to her but he was thinking about where to start...
"What did you read on that book?"
"Isn't it somehow similar to your Alien Invasion plot? But this time, instead of an invasion, the one who arrived here wasn't barbaric, and instead, they plan to use the resources of this planet to create a living weapon or something, right? I was impressed by the topic of Mana Suffocation, I wonder if there were really some other people existing on the different planet... Where are you getting such inspirations? Are you one of them?"
"Eh?" Wallace was surprised to hear the lady's words.
"I'm just kidding... Let's eat first..."
Wallace could only sigh as he planned to make her realize that the book wasn't a prop to be used inside the game.
He can only try as he wanted her to learn about the history included in the book since her connection to the NMTI would be very useful for his endeavor...
Unfortunately, it seems that he needed the whole night to make her realize this.
In the meantime, they didn't waste the healthy food that Avalon prepared for them. They ate until they're full as Yumi had also brought out the thing she wished to discuss.
It was about the rescue team she wanted to establish...
