Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 220

Avalon received a communication from the Mage Doctor whom Lacus recommended. It answered the call while one of the automatons it controls was still accomodating Yumi in the living room.
It simply multi-tasked and conversed with the Doctor.
"Hello? I already gave my number to you but I haven't been contacted at all. Are you really going to hire me? Oh, by the way, I'm the Doctor that passed your requirements..."
The old man sounds cheerful thinking that he will be speaking to the young boy with Mavis blood.
He decided to contact him first as he also wanted to finish the job as soon as possible to get the flower he wanted.
Anyway, as long as he cooperated and did his best, even if he didn't complete the job, Lacus would still give him the flower. But he doesn't want that.
He wanted to earn that flower with his skills. It wouldn't feel good to him if he gets it even if he failed the job.
Though, he noticed the seriousness in Lacus' words before. It means that even with his reputation and knowledge that had almost reached the peak of the three paths of Mage Doctor someone was still thinking that he may fail.
It was an interesting challenge for him so he was now quite interested in this.
"I apologize. Sir Wallace was still busy at the moment. But since you are already on the phone, I can just discuss the task with you."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. If you are worried about someone tapping on our conversation, you don't have to. I already checked the network and there shouldn't be a problem."
"No... Well, I want to discuss this job personally. I may not be satisfied just by hearing it over the phone."
If that's what it takes for the man to take the job, Avalon can only concede and let him visit here.
"Alright, I've sent the address in your device. You can visit anytime."
The man also needed to know this address so Avalon just gave it.

Yumi was surprised after hearing that another visitor was about to arrive at the young man's villa. She was even asked by the Artificial Intelligence or Avalon to receive him at the front gate.
It seems that Avalon decided to get assistance with a real human since Wallace and the Mage Doctor weren't that close yet. The man might get too surprised or untrusting if he learned that he was only making a deal with an A.I.

In short, Avalon deemed that Yumi and Wallace were close enough to make this kind of small request. Of course, Yumi didn't mind it and was even quite happy that there would be another person waiting here.
"Who's visiting him today?"
"Charles, a Mage Doctor that Wallace hired."
"Charles? Alright... Is it an old man?" Yumi knows a lot of Mage Doctor because of her job. Part of her work in NMTI was to license the medicine that the Mages came up to.
It wasn't her main role to confirm the medicine's effectivity but more on its legality and paperwork. Anyway, Yumi visited today as a 23-year-old female so she was thinking whether to keep her appearance with the other visitor.
After all, whenever she works at NMTI, she was using her middle-aged woman appearance to look more professional and reliable on work.
"Yes, he is an old man." Avalon answered.
"Mhmm... Alright! Wait... Old man? Mage Doctor and has the name of Charles? Don't tell me its the legendary Mage Charles Mavis?!"
"No records states that he is a "legendary Mage" but his name is indeed Charles Mavis."
"Of course you wouldn't find that out. His patients were all high-profile and his deeds were never recorded to the public. Only individuals with outstanding backgrounds were aware of his exploits. Some average people only know his brilliant works but not his name. He wasn't appearing in the public as he wished for a simple life... or so I hear."
Yumi seems to be surprised and Avalon took a note of it. The A.I. may be unaware but Veda surely knows more about it. It can just consult the other A.I. if necessary.
She didn't have to wait long as the man arrived at the front gate of the villa just within a couple of hours.
***
Charles arrived outside of the villa and he was sure that the place wasn't so simple. Although it feels empty on the outside, he was feeling a powerful and threatening aura coming from the within. He wasn't sure what that is yet and he would like to find out.
This didn't stop him from approaching the place and it even made him a bit expectant about the job he was about to take.
As soon as he stands outside, the gate opened and a little girl around 8 or 9 years old welcomed him.

'His little sister?'
"Hello, Sir Charles. We are expecting you. Please, come in..."
"Sure, was your name Claire?"
"Eh? No, I'm Hani... Sorry for the late introduction."
"That's fine..."
Charles tried to be polite and didn't further ask about her relationship with Wallace. She may be his cousin he was unaware of or some friend. She may even be the patient he has to treat.
After all, the information he found through Veda was only his direct family members. He was thinking that Wallace may not be too important yet to have more records within the mysterious information network.
He followed the young lady in the living room but as soon as he stepped inside, he felt something.
He felt that something was going on below him or in the underground. He wasn't too sure.
Although it was subtle, it was there.
Below him was definitely a source of unimaginable power!
'What's happening here?!'
He noticed many layers of protection blocking the energy deep underground but due to his proficiency in Spirit Arts, he can feel the restlessness of spirits around.
He tries to remain calm as he was sure that the person who hired him would be able to explain. It might even be related to his job.
Gulp...
'Lacus was right... This seems to be something very difficult...'
He hasn't heard the job yet but he was sure that it wouldn't be simple.

"We're all good!"
Lina shouted as she confirms that all the systems were green.
Escanor didn't hesitate as he started to operate the ship.
"Leave it to me! Hilda! I need 20 seconds..."
"Alright!"
He starts its engine which activated every system it possesses including the energy shields. But this brought attention to the soldiers...
Hilda and the others controlled the now activated energy shield and weapons to defend the aircraft from being shot down.
Everything was still within their expectation so Shirley quickly operated them.
"Grand Strife Seven! Grand Strife Seven! Stop your engine now!"
A message was repeatedly being announced hoping that their team would follow.
After ignoring the message three times, the soldiers below started firing at the aircraft they called Grand Strife Seven.
"Destroy the aircraft now! It's stolen! No need to capture it! Just destroy! Use every arsenal you can just to stop that from leaving!"
One of the officers shouted and led the other soldiers to fire at will.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Unfortunately, they couldn't get past its energy shield. Their enemy seems to be well aware of how to operate their aircraft. The Sevens shouldn't be aware of their technology...
"Tsk! There must be some spies among us..." The officer said as he looked at the other soldiers.
Some soldiers tried to bring cannons and even activated their Mech Frames in an attempt to destroy the aircraft's engine...
Soon, they heard that the hangar's gate was slowly opening!
"Stop it! Close the gates!"
"Our system was being overridden! We can't control it!"
"What?! How did they do that?!"
The engine was now fully functional as the hundred meters long spacecraft floated steadily and rushed outside!
"Oh no! Follow it! Hurry!"
Due to the suddenness of the operation, there was a delay in their response and they couldn't quickly arrange a group that would pursue the enemies. It took them over a minute to assemble a unit and with the speed of the stolen spacecraft, it would be very difficult to catch it.
The officer in charge despaired at this failure. Only a few hours had passed when the general left the base and this bad news has to be reported!
It can only describe his incompetence and he may be subject to demotion.
Sigh~
It was very bad luck for him.
While he was sad about the fact that he was about to get demoted, Hilda's team was celebrating their success as they brought the stolen aircraft to their hidden stronghold.
Soon, they received an amazing reward!
"Hey... Did I read this right?"
Ray Penber asked after seeing the generous reward of the system.
Apparently, aside from the in-game items that they will receive, there was a single and genuine Bottle of Mana Rejuvenation that will be sent to the address they agreed on.
There was also a note telling them to expect better real-life items in the future...
"T-this..."
They will receive a very important real-life item just like that?
What could be the rewards next?
There will be something more valuable in the future?
Is this true?
It didn't take long before everyone realizes that this was the starting point where the players will become more serious about this game.

The Hopeful Project
A pair of twins stumble their way into the world of blood magic, lizard people, and cultivation powered mecha-armor. And by stumble, I mean one of them falls on their face while the other laughs. [Writathon Participant] People read this far? What are you doing down here? Escape! The chapter buttons are over there, stop reading this. No? Fine. This book is an excuse to put a world I spent around 3-4 months of my life building over the pandemic into writing. I was planning on doing the writathon last year, but somehow managed to confuse October and November. Dont laugh, I'm already ashamed enough. This book is about a pair of twins, doing twin things: calling each other names, going to school, learning how to use their blood to become unstoppable, juggernaut, killing machines... You know, twin stuff. It's like if someone stuffed a school arc inside of a tournament arc inside of a war arc. A good time, basically. I hope you enjoy it.

Everywhere else the constant threat of a lightning swift Viking incursion loomed over the land.Growing up in this lawless world is a displaced Daynin McKinnon, heir to an ancient familial keep on the island of Rhum. He and his grandfather Ean scratch out a living amongst the Saxons, careful never to divulge their clan heritage. That all changes when Kruzurk Makshare chooses Daynin as the ideal prospect to help him bring down a vile sorcerer named The Seed of Cerberus, ferreted away in his impregnable fortress at Blackgloom. Little does Kruzurk know that in so doing, he will launch young Daynin, himself and others on a vast, dangerous quest that no one could have foreseen. *****One Hollywood producer has dubbed this three book fantasy epic from Jon Baxley as, "BRAVEHEART meets THE LORD OF THE RINGS." Real places, people and events flesh out this fast moving, multi-faceted semi-historical series but fear not fantasy readers. There's more than enough of the magical, mystical mayhem you have come to expect from great fantasy. Romance readers, too, will enjoy the 'spice' in these characters--and there are a lot of them--both human and otherwise. And if you're into Viking lore, this series certainly is for you. When someone asks the author about his series, he answers with, “There were far more surprises in this tale than I ever expected and it's not over yet!
